"I had a good experience with Digital Oasis a year ago when I bought a fishfinder, so I recently ordered a Navionics chip from Digital Oasis and the wrong chip was sent to me. I called Digital Oasis and informed them of this and they set it up for Navionics to exchange the chip and for me to mail the incorrect back to them which I did. Sadly, Navionics never sent the chip--they are apparently out of stock. Further, neither Digital Oasis nor Navionics called to inform me they were out of stock. When I called Digital Oasis about it and discovered the situation I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. The manager at Digital Oasis called and was both abusive and rude and I finally had to hang up on him. I will not deal with Digital Oasis again. The customer service women were fine. They listened and were empathetic. The manager has no business dealing with the public. He is very unprofessional and does not listen."

"I ordered a Humminbird 858. The unit I received was defective. I tried with Humminbird technical support to get it to work, but it wouldn't. I had to have it replaced by The Digital Oasis. In order to have the unit on time, I had to have it shipped 2nd day air. It was shipped and arrived on time. I wasn't happy about the additional shipping expense for the replacement and the return, but after voicing my concerns I received a call from Mark, the owner of TDO. He explained that thier policy was in place because they offer these units at the best price available anywhere. He can't control whether or not Humminbird produced a good unit. Made sense to me. And I was impressed that the owner himself had called to explain. I would definitely do business with them again."

"I was a little upset trying to register my outlaw bow with Diamond since I could not find Digital Oasis listed as a dealer but after writing about my frustration on this site, Digital Oasis contacted me within the hour and helped solve my issues. I am very impressed that they care what their customers think and are on top of it when helping to resolve their customers needs. I have amended my critique and will purchase from them again. The best customer service I have received from on-line shopping, thanks Kim for all the help. "

"I do get the fact there is a large amount of fraud on the internet. I was a little disappointed my order was flagged for verification, caused a delay. Overall, the experience was pretty good.

It seems this company listens to its customers and responded to my concerns. The owner cares and pays attention to the ratings on this site. Good job, Digital Oasis.

"My experience with Digital Oasis was a challenge initially, After several days past, my frustration building as to where my order was. I received a call from Mark the owner of TDO with an explanation of the circumstance. During the order process the warehouse had closed for inventory and during that time my order was lost in their shipping department. Mark has promised to re-ship the product to me overnight and to have it by this Friday.
Realizing this issue was beyond Marks control, I await the end result eagerly. All I wanted was a status update on my purchase, I got it...will see what happens next and adjust the shopping experience accordingly. "

"I had a similar issue as a previous reviewer stated. I placed my order and the next day got an email saying my order was flagged for fraud. But my billing and shipping address are the same. Since I had read the othereview before, I replied to the email telling them to simply cancel the order if I had to sit around a phone waiting for their call. I got an email response saying they were in fact able to confirm my address and the order was shipped. I got it today and it was exactly what I wanted and in good condition. I think the company needs to do something about this billing/shipping address issue, but otherwise the customer service emails were polite and answered the questions...and I got my order in five business days with free shipping. Thank you!"

"Unfortunately my experience with Digital Oasis was not a good one. My order was flagged as possible fraud because my credit card billing address did not match my shipping address. I received an email on 10/17/12 stating my order was on hold and to expect a phone call to verify my identity. I receive the phone call from a polite individual at DO who identified themselves and asked for my billing address followed by my shipping address and then she tells me everything is fine. The next morning I receive an email from Digital Oasis telling me my order is going to be shipped that day.

Then I receive a phone call from someone demanding to know who answered the phone. I asked who was calling and they would not tell me until I stated that they called me and unless they identified themselves I was not going to answer their question. (That is just bad manners):) Finally the woman on the other end of the phone said she was with Digital Oasis and my order had been flagged for fraud. I questioned this and told her I had already answered their questions the day before and had received notification the order was being processed. She informed me (rudely) I had not talked to her and the order was on hold again. She then proceeded to ask me why I was in another location other than my billing address. I was a little speechless at that point that someone would even ask such a question. She told me that she was going to have to review my answers and then get back to me. Needless to say she called me back within 2 minutes and told me they were not going to honor the order since I was having the order shipped to a different address than my billing address. Her demeanor during the conversation was very accusatory and rude.

I understand the need to stay on top of credit card fraud and I can appreciate the effort necessary to accomplish this. However I have used online ordering for years with shipment to many different address's including motel rooms and I have to say this is a first for me. I would venture to say there are ways to verify my identity if you are in the online retail business. To send a gift to someone from Digital Oasis must be impossible.

In summary, Digital Oasis came across as a very rinky dink company with very little experience in the online world.

(Digital Oasis replied to another gentleman with similar issues and insisted that fraud was highly suspect because he gave them two different billing addresses, that was not the case in this instance. Billing address did match. I did want it next day however) Imagine that, I wanted my fishfinder for the weekend. :)"

“Sorry you felt you had a bad experience. But we do not ship to different addresses than the billing address of the credit card. We especially do not ship to hotels. This was explained to the customer and he was unhappy and half of his story below is him blowing off steam. It was explained that you can either add the shipping address to your credit card, set up a paypal account or use google checkout.

Credit card companies do not protect merchants that ship to addresses that are not attached to the credit card. The customer simply tells the credit card company that they did not make the purchase and the credit card gives customer their money back.

as far as a rinky dink company, we have been in business for 10 years. Have over 100,000 positive rankings on ebay.

Its a continuous battle with fraud and we are working diligently to beat fraudsters.

"When I was outfitting my boat I ordered the fishfinder first since online transactions usually take a week or so for delivery. The Digital Oasis order was here in a flash. The sporting goods stores carried a few models, but the wide selection at DO allowed me to get the exact model I needed."

"The Digital Oasis was a great website to order the SportStuff Funstation. It offered the lowest price for this item and offered free shipping which was absolutely terrific! All around it was a good webste and company to work with."
