"Ordered 5 chassis on Jan 26 as part of an IT rearchitecture. Experienced trouble with credit card company due to shipping address associated with corporate account (though numerous other vendors completing larger orders did not indicate trouble). After verifying that credit card issues have been resolved, TECHONWEB customer service rep says one part is in stock, the other part (we ordered 4 of this one) will need to be special ordered and should arrive in 10-12 business days. Well over 12 days later, we contact TECHONWEB, who claims shipping ETA is Mar 17. 18 days later, we contact TECHONWEB, who claims 1 unit has shipped and the other 3 have shipped from manufacturer and should be in "in the next few business days". Two days later, we ask for confirmation. We get one tracking number, and a claim that the 'other shipped today' and that 'the other two will ship out next week'. 9 days later, we query again, to which they reply 'they have not come in yet. ETA is 4/18' (ten days later). On 4/18, we request confirmation of final shipment. Rather than responding to request, "B" carbon copies me on a message to his distributor requesting an 'accurate ETA'. On 4/22, we get this so-called 'accurate ETA' - May 6. Given extreme delays, we request that TECHONWEB ensure cases get priority overnighted at their expense and earliest convenience. "B" responds that it isn't TECHONWEB's fault, that we should have cancelled our order once we realized it was manuf's fault (which they never indicated, and never told us we COULD cancel nor did their website expose the capability), and that he would check with his supervisor, but the likely answer is NO.
I got frustrated, and wrote a longwinded rant about the nature of quality customer service, pointing out that TECHONWEB exists to hide the supply chain issues from the customer, and that other businesses in his industry understand supply chain issues and would undoubtedly be more helpful in this scenario. I include sample e-mails from a competitor as an example. Finally, I ask for his supervisor's contact information, as I felt the need to escalate.
TECHONWEB's previously reasonable response time to e-mails flew out the window. I felt as if I was being ignored. Today, my CTO and I sat on the phone and tried to call TECHONWEB customer service to get in touch with the supervisor. After telling the representative our names and order number, the representative *immediately* (without having ANY time to type anything / check a file) stated that we have been talking to the owner "B", who is out to lunch.
That means that when "B" said he needed to contact his supervisor for authorization to overnight the cases, and that he assumed the answer would be NO, he was flat out LYING as he was in fact the OWNER of the company.
Suppose you ignore their line about our issues not being their fault (which it is - reseller responsibility is to prevent the customer from having to deal with the supply chain). Suppose you ignore the piss poor customer service (we never got notified of any problems with the order except when after an excessive delay we initiated contact). Suppose that having SIX separate shipping ETAs come and go unfulfilled is normal. Suppose that flat out statements: "items have shipped from manufacturer" are totally false. Even after these serious complaints are discareded, you are left with one thing:
The company owner LIED and pretended to be a poor cretin, incapable of making decisions for the better of the customer.
I would never, ever do business with someone so dishonest, and I feel it is my duty to warn anyone that would ever shop at TECHONWEB just what kind of shop they are. Unfortunately, the only practical recourse we have is to post this review, and cancel the order.
These chassis were ordered in late January. I am now typing this review on May 27, holding only 3/5 of our order (keep in mind that the 3 out of 5 we have were substantially delayed as well). This process has cost a very unhealthy amount of our company's time.
So know this... TECHONWEB seems to have some decent reviews, but if yours falls into supply chain trouble... expect to be dealing with the worst customer service in the industry, and a "support team" (they now appear to be a very small company) full of liars."

"Very good price. Found the site through CNET. Easy to buy, know the tax, S & H cost, and what I am buying. In Stock or not, is instantly notified. Highly recommended marchant."
"STAY AWAY FROM TECHONWEB!!!!!!!!! I ordered an expensive (and heavy) monitor from them: what they shipped was an apparently repackaged defective unit. It has been an absolute horrow show of obstructionism on their part to get it returned and have the purchase credited back to my account. They try their best to just stick you with it and will never reply to an email, leave you hanging on HOLD when you call, and send you to a dead-end mailbox when you actually try to speak to a person. They refused to even answer my emails or phone messages that they arrange for a replacement with a functional unit, would not credit my account once I had paid $100.00 to ship it back, and when you finally get some fraudulent answer on your machine a couple of weeks later, they always have an excuse for why nothing has been done. Obviously a sham outfit, soon to change names and reappear as someone else---you know the type. They received the defective unit last month and still have not credited my credit card---this morning was just another excuse and as of right now I'm out over $550.00. Do yourself a favor an pay a few dolars more fora new unit from a reputable vendor. Sorry for the rant, but shabby companies take all the fun out of the trasaction.
Good luck!
PS: as of today they have credited the purchase amount so I am out $100.00 for return postage costs. "

"Ordering was pretty easy, the delivery came promptly, but the speakers do not work. The left speaker and sub-woofer seem to work okay, but the right speaker does not produce sound and has an intermittent crackling sound. Pretty disappointed about it, actually. Update: Techonweb is exceptionally difficult when it comes to returns. As stated above, the product does not work, and in order to return it, I must pay for return shipping (not re-imbursed), and must pay the difference between what it cost when I bought it originally and what it costs now (only a few dollars, but still - I bought it for $34, it is now $36 and I have to pay shipping of $10). In the end, if I allow them to fix the problem, I have paid $57 for a $34 speaker system. Not a very good deal, and an awful customer service experience. Stay away from ordering from them if you expect any level of customer service. I agree with mdcarlyle (below) who said that customer service was unfriendly about it. I will not order from them again, and will just accept this as a $44 lesson against using them. A pretty awful experience."

"Let me start off by saying that I ALWAYS order from Newegg. I have ordered several thousand dollars in computer parts from them and their service and shipping has always been stellar. Anyway I started looking for a new monitor after mine died the other day, and pricewatch had a great price listed for the one I wanted with Techonweb. I have ordered once from them a long time ago and had a good experience so I figured I would give it another try. I come home yesterday to a notice from UPS that they won't deliver without an adult signature. So I tried to talk to UPS for about an hour trying to explain to them that I (crazy as this seems) work for a living and can't be home to sign for the package. UPS tells me that the shipped required this and I can come to their facility to pick it up. Now I can see myself strapping a 60lb monitor to the back of my motorcycle to bring it home. This of course is the reason I wanted one delivered in the first place. So this morning I called Techonweb to ask why it is they use only UPS and only signature required shipping. They didn't care at all that I had no other way to get my package. The guy on the phone could say nothing other than that is just the way we do it. Well I tell what, I am going to call and order from Newegg, that's just the way I do it."
"I ordered a set of Logitech Z-5500 5.1digital audio speakers. My experience with this retailer was wonderful. They had the best price I could find. I had a question about their shipping so I called customer service. After quickly and accurately (and politely) answering my question, the representative didn't just hang up on me because he had answered my question. We actually just talked for about 10 minutes or so! It turns out that the representative already owned the same set of speakers so we talked about those. Then it turned out that he also owned a mac so we talked about that too! All in all, the service and support was amazing, they actually care about their customers and the customers' satisfaction. I'll be back the next time I need to buy some electronics! "
"I placed my order with confidence, only to be very unsatisfied. I received my shipment, (Well, the wrong shipment!) I have tried contacting them about it, and all I get from them, is that they want me to go out of my way to get their screwed up item back to them. They could care less about making things right. If I ran a company, and screwed up like this, I would make sure I sent the replacement (IE: The correct item!) item overnight free of charge to my customer. It is one thing to screw up, (We all do it from time to time!) however dragging ones feet, and not owning up to it, is just unacceptable.
The item I ordered is the Logitech Z5500 5.1 set of speakers, I received the Z2300. Which is about 1/2 the size, price and weight. I don't know how someone could mistake a box 1/2 the size as another. The damn Subwoofer wouldn't fit in this small box.
I will never do business with this company again, and recommend that no one else does either. There are to many great companies to allow these shotty ones to thrive on our dollar."

"Returning a defective item has been nothing but headaches. They claimed the package was damaged by UPS when they received it. UPS had been there 2 times trying to pickup the damaged package for inspection but it was unavailable. It's been over a month since the package was returned and the damage claim I filed with UPS has still not been able to resolve because of the delays Techonweb has caused. Will NEVER buy from this company again. DO NOT buy from this company unless you don't plan on returning the item for whatever reasons.
edit: They finally decided to give me credit back for the damaged monitor without having to go through UPS."
