"Ordered an Epson TM-U375P point-of-sale printer. Shipping was fast and efficient, however, the unit did not come with the power supply. Advertised as "Missing non-essentials", which I reasonably interpreted to mean a driver CD or instruction manual. Attempt to rectify the solution with a customer service supervisor got nowhere. They refuse to make amends for their deceptive advertising. Referring to BBB and Colorado Attorney General's office."

"I bought "scratch and dent" camera that was supposently in great cosmetic shape and good working order with only some missing part. The camera was DOA, the lens will not come out. Multiple calls and emails to customer service, multiple promisews to cal back, no one did. The charge is being disputed with Amex and PayPal now. Why would a reputable place risk its rating for $41. Stay away...."

"Have sent four emails and left two VM for TechForLess. I am trying to obtain a Return Authroization Number to return a product. Their guarantee period is 30 days; and I feel that they are not responding so the 30 days will lapse, and then what do I do. I have never had this nonresponsiveness from any company I've dealt with on line. I feel I am being scammed."

"I wish I read the reviews on this site BEFORE buying from TechForLess. My story repeats what others have already experienced; after an initial call to arrange an exchange of products nothing but silence from TechForLess. Repeated phone calls and emails go unreturned and/or unanswered. 100% Satisfaction Guarantee??? Maybe they were talking about their own satsfaction because they sure don't appear to care one lick about customers. The only good news is that a business that pays no attention to its customers will eventually go under...."

"JUNK. This company sales nothing but junk thats already been sold in other stores. Items that have been returned at Best Buy and other electronic stores. I've returned my TV 4 times already. In two months. I called to get my TV registered and Sharp told me it was registered 2 years ago. My TV was suppose to be an Open Box. New. Not refurbished. Junk. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY."

"First off, I want to make sure everyone understands that just because you don't know much about laptops doesn't mean you're an IDIOT...Ok so here is my story: I just recently got a new job that provided me with a laptop but I didn't want to use my work laptop for my personal use, so I decided for the 1st time in my life to purchase a laptop. I looked around at different places and found everythng to be very pricey when I ran accross TechForLess. I'm really skeptical about buying things from the internet so I contacted them by phone and asked a lot of questions, what does refurbished means? What is covered under warranty? etc, etc. They seemed honest enough and really helpful, so I decided to place my trust in them and placed my order. On October 5, 2010, I purchased an NW142UA (Refurbished) HP NW142UA G60-441US Notebook PC Intel Pentium T4200, 2 GHz Processor, 3 GB RAM, 320 GB Hard Drive, DVD+/-RW, 16-inch Display, Vista Home Premium WITH a 1 Year Extended warranty for $453.05. I received it within what I'd say is a reasonable amount of time (on October 9th, 2010)but because I was out of town, I got to open it 3 days later. So here I am on October 12, 2010 opening THE box that only contained the laptop and the battery, which was strange to me because I expected some kind of manual or something of the sort. Anyway, over all the laptop LOOKED good, but again, this is coming from someone that knows next to nothing about laptops. Well, over the next couple of weeks the laptop was used to browse the internet a few times here and there, watch Disney movies and most importantly for me, store my pictures. Well, on halloween day (what is that, 17 days later?) I used it to look up some makeup tips for my costume. After I was done using it (like usual) I shut it down properly and put it back on the desk. 2 days later (day 19) I wanted to check my personal e-mail, when the laptop wouldn't turn on. Strange right? Well, I figured that I must have used up all the battery life on halloween so I left it alone for another 2 days or so. On the 3rd or 4th day (day 22 or 23), the computer would still not turn on. I called my buddy who is somewhat of a computer nerd to take a look at it and he told me that I should contact TechForLess and tell them what is wrong. I had to go out of town again for the weekend but when I got back (day 26 or 27) I sent an e-mail to them and then gave them a call. I spoke to someone who told me that they would be e-mailing me a return label and that I could ship the laptop within the next 9 days. I made sure they understood that I was within the 30 days of purchasing the laptop and he verified that if they could not FIX it, that they would REPLACE it. Well, today at 8:59 am, I received a call from TechForLess letting me know that the techs had taken a look at the laptop and concluded that the motherboard is irreparable. I was a little dissapointed because I was just getting used to the laptop but I figured if you can't fix it then I guess we better go with plan B, which is replacing it right? Well you'd never guess what I was told, and I quote: "Sorry 'mam but it says here on my notes that our techs found that the motherboard is beyond repair because it was DROPPED so I won't be replacing it. I will be sending you back your broken laptop and you'll have to deal with it on your own." WHAT?! Ok so maybe that's not exactly what he said and I'm too upset to remember every word, but basically he spent the next 10 minutes trying to convince me that I had DROPPED my laptop and that is the reason why it no longer works. I'm sorry, but as you can see in my brief 30 day recount of my owning the laptop, not ONCE did I mention the computer was dropped because that is just it, IT NEVER WAS! It completely took me by surprise that TechForLess would not replace my computer and made me even more angry when the guy so nonchalantly tries to convince me that the techs are convinced it was dropped and therefore I will not be getting a replacement. At this point I'm extremely angry, thus this long angry review, and I will not accept anything other than a replacement (or a refund) and I better get a call from the supervisor within the next 24 hours... TO BE CONTINUED...

11/21/10 -Received a message from TechForLess supervisor. Was not in when I returned phone call, will try again on Monday morning...

11/22/10 9:47 AM -Called TechForLess. There was no answer. Left a message to return my call...

11/23/2010 12:50 PM -Received a call from Rihannon, CS Manager from TeckForLess who basically said, "all I can do is send your broken computer back sorry" ALTHOUGH my computer did NOT turn on before I sent it, their retarded Techs have concluded that because SUPPOSEDLY there was damage to the computer AFTER I sent it, that is why it does not work. Does that make sense?? Of course! I sent a perfectly working computer to them just for the heck of it! WOW... So after fishing for some excuse to ultimatelly NOT own up, Ms. Rihannon finally pinned it on my nerdy friend. Saying that when he OPENED the computer to check what was wrong with it that HE broke it. Again, WOW... I have NEVER dealt with such incompetence and idotecy and will NEVER order anything from them again.

CONCLUSION: I will be receiving my broken computer back (yay!). I would have told them to shove it where the sun don't shine but my pictures are in it :) Moral of the story, DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM TECHFORLESS unless you want to deal with the above..."

"Purchased an open box FM transmitter. Upon receipt, I hooked it up to find that the dock connector does not attach properly, and I can get only intermittent sound, often very quiet and in Mono, not stereo. I have emailed 3 times with no response, through Google and directly, trying to obtain an RMA number. Will not be purchasing from here again - will be disputing with the credit card company if I do not hear a reply within the next few days. DO NOT buy from this site - poor customer service standards!"

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY (DESPITE THE BLOATED RATINGS)!!!

They sent us completely salvage equipment (laptop batteries); never stating that the equipment was indeed salvage. When we contacted them via phone; customer service was rude, and absolutely clueless. They sent a replacement order, and again, they were "DEAD ON ARRIVAL"/SALVAGE. This company is nothing less than FRAUD, and everything more of MISREPRESENTATION! They knowingly sell junk (SALVAGE, hoping that it works!
Looking at some of their "canned" responses, and seeing how they screw their customers over; I think it's time for a letter to my state's Attorney General's Office. "

"My experience with Tech For Less was miserable. I purchased a credit card processing machine (Hypercom 4210) from them and discovered the power cord was missing from my "new" machine. When I called, they were friendly and sent me a replacement, but it took 10 days (I ended up going to Radio Shack for a replacement prior to this, because my business needed a functional credit card machine).

Then the machine quit permanently after only 1 week of use. When I called, the gentleman on the phone referred me to the manufacturer who said the machine could probably be fixed, but it would take 2 weeks. I could not run my business without a machine for 2 weeks, so I returned the device to Tech For Less and purchased a new (different) machine from another company. Now Tech For Less is charging me a 20% restocking fee, plus the price of shipping the machine back.

I only recommend this company if you want to receive a "bunk" product that will be missing pieces and will break down soon after purchasing.

Addendum: After reading this review, Tech for Less did call and refund our money in full. In the end, our experience with them was not amazing, but at least somebody in the company does have some integrity. "
