Facts-  
Item ordered.  
Item Shipped. No notification of shipment  
Email notification of backorder!?!?  
No responce to request when item would ship.  
Item delivered while I was out of town.  
Arrive home to monitor on door step.  
 
Setup of monitor reveals issue. Call Tech Savings Tech support for help. Alex is not helpful, and suggests calling Viewsonic. Viewsonic very helpful, and we eventually debug the problem. Viewsonic issues RMA to vendor.  
 
TechSavings.com refuses to accept Viewsonics RMA or diagnosis or monitor and cites 20 day return policy for date of shipment.  
 
I point out contact with TechSavings.com before 20 day return period, and lack of support helping diagnose problem.  
 
Issue taken up with AmEx. Dispute issued. TechSavings.com stands behind 20 day return policy from DATE OF SHIPMENT.  
 
Monitor replaced through ViewSonic. No help from TechSavings.com, worst customer support and tech support I have ever worked with...  
 
My perspective-  
Ultimate reason for refusal of return is based upon a 20 day return policy from date of shipping...from shipping. Take heed, go elsewhere.

Here are my recorded attempts to get a credit from this vendor for an order placed for items reported as "in stock", but were actually backordered.  
 
This listing is my attempt to cancel the order and get a credit issued - I finally let the bank card company handle this, since there were only excuses and no action from them:

4/2/2003 order charged to card – items reported in stock.  
4/21/2003 agreed to cancel order and refund full amount. 3 – 5 days.  
4/29/2003 Spoke with Capital One representative who gave his department’s direct line at 800-887-8643 if this does not credit within 30 days.  
5/7/2003 Still no credit on the acount.  
5/8/2003 Official start of dispute with Capital One today.  
5/8/2003 Email with CS – no credit yet – see email excuse.  
5/15/2003 Email with CS – no credit yet – see email excuses.  
5/15//2003 Capitol One entered “balance Adjustment of $137.92”  
5/24/2003 No credit on account from Vendor as yet.  
6/22/2003 No credit on account from Vendor as yet.  
12/9/2003 No further information sent or sought.

Upon needing an RMA for a scanner, the merchant would not answer their phone or reply to e-mails, thus making it impossible to get RMA. Merchant then charged my card TWICE, six months apart and never replied to the real issue of the duplicate charge, just said I had not returned the merchandise in time. I do not feel as if this is a reputable company.

TechSavings is the worst website I ever ordered,  
Order a LCD monitor, after 3 weeks, no reply, no shiping...then dispute it,one month later they ship me the monitor and charge me back. I request the RMA vis UPS,they got it but didn't return my payment, no one answer the phone, GOD DAMN YOU, give my money back!!!!

Yes, I was ripped off by TechSavings.com, aka EMS Computing. I ordered a monitor from them, which they actually did deliver, but it was defective, so I requested and received an RMA. They wasted no time in sending FedEx to retrieve the merchandise. The credit they promised in return, however, never materialized. The credit (value $229) was promised both in a personal email, and in the return policy on their website.  
 
As others on this site have pointed out, TS.com/EMS Computing no longer answer their phone number. You are lucky to get any response to email.  
 
Someone named Cynthia G. finally wrote me about the credit six months later in response to my complaints, offering more promises but no action. Don't be a fool like us and give your money to this thieving company. The fact that they offer no phone number should be suspicious enough.

After finally getting a response stating they are having problems with their previous processor it was suggested I contact my credit card company. I did! I filed a dispute for the charge and after months got my money back. May be the only way for those of you who can't reach them :( Good Luck!

Order a dot matrix printer. Cancelled order after item hadn't shipped after 2 weeks after being assured it was being processed "priority". Cancelled order. Still haven't received refund od $600 and item NEVER EVEN SHIPPED! Florida AG has opened case as of 5/30/03.

I ordered four HP toner cartridges June 14, 2003 upon which they promptly charged my credit card. As of July 16, 2003 they still have not shipped the order and they show a status on their web site of it being processed. I have asked them to cancel the order twice and they still have not responded to my last three emails. They also have eliminated all phone contact. They responed to my first email explaining that they were having shipping difficulties but since then I have recieved no replies to my emails. I am concerned that they may be experiencing financial difficulties and/or entering bankruptcy, why else would they refuse to communicate by phone or answer my last thtee emails??? The order number is: 0051-T0459232-8254996

I like the rest of you bought an item from techsavings.com. I was just informed (3:08 pst) by the Ocala Sheriff's dept. That the postmaster general is now working on the case. I don't have a number for him yet, but it shouldn't be to hard to track down. I have received the same "we're backed up in shipping" story as the rest of you. I have contacted my credit card company as well and have them working on it as well. I will update with any new information that I think could help any of you out. Until then good luck to all. Here's a footnote, I sent them two e-mails today about 10 minutes apart. The first one went through no problem(it was another where is my refund please e-mail's). The second one was informing them that I had just spoken with the sheriff's office and wished them all good luck in the old greybar hotel. That mail suspiciously was returned undeliverable mail. Thought that was kind of funny.

Has anybody had any luck getting their money back from these clowns. I see that some of you have disputed the charges with your credit card company, but I paid with a debit card, can I do the same thing? For user TwistedTech2 I tried emailing you to find out some info but the email won't go through. If you see this email me back please. For the rest of you if you can provide some help I would appreciate it.

I, like the rest of you, was charged but did not recieve anything. After a lot of searching I found a telephone number. Someone answers and claims they will credit my account. (We will see!)

They will claim they are a different company but take a closer look. They share the same fax number and address....

We ordered a HP9000 toner cart for use in our remote print business. Two weeks after placing and paying , our order had not been shipped. Email and faxed inquiries went unanswered. This cart is necessary for our business and running out is not an option. Cancelled the order and will start the fight to get our money back.  
 
My advice, never do business with this company.

UUUGGGHHHH!!! I can't believe I used this company without cheecking here first!!! I had same experience as everyone else here. Ordered item, waited 4 weeks. They charged credit card immediately even though they said they wouldn't until order was shipped!  
I cancelled order, but they never removed charge. Had to call credit card company to stop charge. All to try and save $10. Never again!!! Their website looked well developed, so I figured it must be legitimate. They are theifs. This company is also EMS COmputing apparently, so don't use them either!!! I am surprised credit card companies still allow them to take their cards. The only bright side to this is that the printer I ordered dropped by over $50 by the time I bought it somewhere else!

Ordered monitor on march 16, and cancelled march 24,  
and to this day no credit card reimburstment (it is now june 21). I have recieved confirmation that they credited my card on march 24. just talked to card company and it will be taken care of.I ordered the same monitor from techonweb and recieved 3 days later.

Card charged for an in-stock item. Three weeks later, no product, no replys to e-mails, and I'm out $108.  
 
I have complaints filed with BBB and Attorney Generals Offcie. In process of disputing the charge on my credit card.
