This company is NOT TO BE TRUSTED. First I was charged more than I should've been (did get a refund, finally, though). The product (a Samsung HT-Z510T home theater system) didn't work and I had to send it back to Samsung since techgearnow stops responding to emails after payment has been received. Several weeks later I got the receiver back but the problem persisted. I called Samsung to find out what was wrong and was told that I had been sold a REFURBISHED unit, something techgearnow forgot to mention. They are dishonest, shady, and should be avoided at all costs. I would have gladly paid $50 or $100 more upfront to have avoided this company. I've learned my lesson and no longer trade with internet companies that lack firm reputations. Learn from my mistakes and the mistakes of others like me who have bought from techgearnow and shop somewhere else.

Good, solid service from this organisation. I ordered a Samsung 40" HDTV from TechgearNow last week. Yes, they will ask for you to call to confirm your order and at that time they will ask if you want extended service or other add-ons to your order, but you still have the choice. For myself, I just wanted the HDTV, nothing else. I received the product yesterday, a week after ordering it, all in great shape. I was impressed with with the packaging, the delivery company even commented on the quality of the packaging. TechGearNow actually added cardboard stiffeners to each edge of the box before strapping it together and sending it out. The HDTV is up and running. I would do business with this company again.

Ordered a Samsung home theater system from teachgearnow.com. System arrived with a broken face on the receiver and only two speakers worked. Contacted teachgearnow.com and spoke with Steven. I was informed to return it and another unit would be sent out to me. Mailed system back via FedEx and it was mysteriously lost. Fedex tried to track the package down but could not. I will be refunded the cost of the system by FedEx. Thanks FedEx for getting me out of this deal with techgearnow. Don't buy anything from these guys. You'll be sorry!

They are not to be trusted. I called them up and I spoke to a guy called Steven regarding the possibilityto purchase a canon 5d mark ii for the advertised $1700 (as opposed to $2699 of most respectable sellers). He was rude and fresh when I was asking him the question: do you have a store? Answered "yes". Then I asked can I come over and pick up in person? Answer: NO. AShen I asked about the warranty he said it cost $500. then he was simply rude and sarcastic attitude that can only make me think he is a con artist. Do not buy from them. I would aslo be aware of some "supposedly" good review about them...

I ordered a Samsung HT-Z510T from techgearnow.com (ordered on 11/28/2008), I finally received the item 12/16/2008 and it was broken, (by the way, they charged my card way before they shipped it which is suppose to be illegal). Anyway, when I called them about the front of the main system being cracked and broken the owner was in the back ground telling his employee that we don’t know if this guy is telling the truth, and he went on and on about how I was probably lying. They basically told me it was my problem and to take a hike. I called UPS the same day, and they came by and picked up the package, they discovered that it was damaged during shipping and returned the package to the shipper,techgearnow.com They said they only payout to the shipper and the receiver can only report the claim. When I saw that it was returned I called UPS because Tech Gear Now was still refusing to send out a new unit or refund my money. UPS said they were waiting for the shipper to contact them for a settlement on the claim. I have filed a claim with my credit card company and now today 01/06/2009, Tech Gear Now is saying they will refund part of my money. I still have to dispute the rest of it with my credit card company. They double dipped by getting paid by UPS and trying to stiff me on the deal. I am sure that is illegal as well. Anyway, I would not recommend buying from them at all. The other thing is they do not report on their website that most of their items are refurbished items. The item that I purchased Samsung HT-Z510T, did not disclose anywhere that it was a refurbished item, however when I confronted them on the phone they admitted that it was a refurnished item. The other thing is that their phone is down all the time and they do not respond to emails.

DO NOT ORDER FROM TECHGEARNOW!! IT IS A SCAM! I placed an order for a Samsung HT-X810 for $439 on December 4th and received a confirmation email. I tried reaching them a few days later to find out about the shipping. The phone was out of order and they never replied to my emails. I finally got through by phone via another number 2 days after that and they said they CANCELLED THE ORDER AND DO NOT HAVE THAT PRODUCT!!! His response was "At that price they don't last long!!!". They tried to sell me a different product. THIS IS A SCAM!! B E W A R E !!!!!!

Shady company. Placed an order for a DVD player. They called to upsell me on accessories, which I declined. They called an hour later to tell me that shipping was going to be almost TWICE what was quoted on their website. I cancelled the order. Do not order from this company.

I ordered a home theater from these guys. Took them forever to contact me after the website said to call in for status. I called the 800 # they had on the website but it was disconnected. I got in contact with the people who provide their website verification safe shopper program. After leaving numerous emails they finally contacted a week after. They told me that my item has shipped and I will get a tracking # via email. Now it's 12/10/2008 and they still haven't emailed me the tracking #. Man I will never buy from this place EVER AGAIN! DON'T BUY FROM THESE GUYS. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND EVERYTHING ABOUT IT SEEMS LIKE A SCAM!!

This is a total scam store. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! I ordered a Casio Camera from them. THey called and tried to sell me outrageiously priced extended warranties and memory cards. The camera I recieved was NOT NEW, was the wrong color, did not come in the factory box, did not have a warranty card from the manufacturer and they did not provide a reciept. I AM SO UNHAPPY. SCAMMERS!!! Also, half of their posted phone numbers don't work.

This guy (Steven Daniels) is a bait and switch guy! BE VERY CAREFUL! According to Daniels he has no control of the website, but the prices are on HIS website. Bought a Panasonic surround sound $212.00; received confirmation order, never got the order. I called he said the NEW price was $250.00 he didn’t have the product! He cancelled my order;, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM ARTIST!  
 

TechGearNow should change their name to TechGearNever I ordered a home theater system after a week they contacted me and said they were out of stock and so they switched me to a different one and a week after not hearing from them I called and now they say They are out of that one! I wasted to weeksfor nothing! Wpll not try to buy from them again!
