I purchased a set of Classicor Kinetic cookware (pots and pans). I was very disappointed with them. I don't like how they conduct heat and water get's trapped in the glass lids under the metal lid handles and they are extremely difficult to clean. I also purchased a set of cooking knives and they also are no good (they don't cut well). I don't trust the items that Target.com sells and I would discourage anyone from purchasing kitchen products that you are unfamiliar with. Are they the same company as the Target store or do they just use the same name?

Target always has good deals, i have been shopping with them for months, very happy with the prices, the quality of goods is not so hot, but overall it is a great store. I remember growing up as a child where my parents too me to shop there. I guess i kind of learned to love it!

Bought an item... they said it would take a month to ship.. i cancelled it and bought something else.
website says it shiped may 20. and to expect it by july 10. NO SENSE RIGHT. they even gave me an invalid tracking number.
phone support said "oh well, you'll get it when you get it.
email support sent me some form response saying " sorry about your order- better luck next time"
customer relations at headquarters said to call back the original number that she cant help me"
this is theft in my opinion..

Previous ordering through Target.com had gone smoothly, so had never needed to contact customer service.
Unfortunately, this time, I contacted customer service and found them completely incapable of dealing with any questions outside of their canned responses. Not sure if the first two emails were responded to by someone within the U.S. Finally called to try and get someone who might possibly try and address the question. They could not.
It was only a small 1.5% difference in the amount charged versus what should have been charged. So I'm not out a whole lot of money, but I am more concerned about the principle of it.
I will avoid Target.com in the future until they can develop their website to handle the technical difference in taxing various residents.
Now I will wait and see if my order shows up on time, or god forbid it's damaged.
Good customer service helps to build a strong reputation and customer base. Having a website bearing the Target brand name, but being run by someone else is going to tarnish the Target brand name. (As it now has done for me.)
Congrats to Target's competitors, as you have another person looking to shop with you first. This review was modified by its author, kduit65, on

I ordered a breadmachine last year (08) and, according to their ad, the item would be delivered by Christmas 08. However, they delayed it to Jan. In Jan, I got an email for Target in which they said the item will be delivered by Feb 28 no matter I approve it or not. Now (Mar 3) they cancelled the order.
I called Target several time and spent a lot of phone minutes on it. I have to order something from Target since I got the money as a giftcard.
It is very difficult to deal with Target.

For the third time in about 6 months I've had a return to Target. com. It is the most complicated process possible. I keep going back & forth to returns and other web pages without finding the info I need. The process is so hard to figure out that I do not remember from one time to another. I like the merchandise and prices, but think I will have to quit doing online shopping with Target. It just takes too much time. With so many user friendly websites out there it would seem that Target could make theirs friendly, as well. The other problem with Target. com is that, unless they have a free shipping promo, the shipping costs are very high and negate any Target pricing advantage.

I had received an E-mail from Target informing me that the order that I placed for 2 tri-cycles for the Nursery School where my wife is the Director would require a delay "approval". When the original order was placed, there was no charge (free) shipping on the order and 6% sales tax had been estimated, which was all correct.
After I "re-approved" the transaction, I noticed that the amount of the invoice had increased substantially over what it was on the original order. The first problem was that the "free shipping" was eliminated costing me $30.46 extra and the sales tax was calculated incorrectly at 7.5%. I felt that this was just simply unacceptable.
My wife called the TARGET "customer service" phone number and they would offer no solution except to cancel the order, which is what happened. She spent 16 minutes on the phone, and
accomplished nothing.
As a result, I sent an E-mail to the CEO of Target and his assistant with all the details and copies of the orders. A courteous and prompt reply was received from a gentleman on the executive staff, apologizing for the problems and offering two options to rectify the situation. They are looking into their customer service process and data processing systems to correct these types of problems in the future. Needless to say, we are pleased with the attention that we have received. The tri-cycles arrived and the boys and girls at the nursery school love them. As a result, I have a lot of respect for the Target Executive Management team and how they turned a negative into a positive. And we continue to shop at Target! The item ordered was received promptly but had to be returned because it was not what was exactly expected. Was able to return it to the store rather than mailing back to Target. The store refunded my money immediately.

I ordered Christmas gifts for my daughter on 12-8-2008, Target.com emailed me on 12-11-2008 that the items had been shipped. They emailed me on 12-24-2008 that they had credited my card for approximately half the original charge. My daughter opened the box on Christmas morning to find that the partial order that they mailed was the wrong item. Completely unacceptable.

Sorry. They never gave me my invoice numbers. I had 2 orders, they cancelled both of them. Their excuse, they had pricing error on their website and they will not honor it. worst customer service i have ever seen in the whole white world.

After reading some of the other Target.com reviews, I realize I am not alone. Target should be completely ashamed of how their online customers are being treated.
***Please note that not only were there problems with the furniture, but the Customer Service we received was BEYOND horrible! We ordered the Mission Bench and it arrived quickly -- with a completely split base-board. The Target.com rep was helpful and immediately sent a replacement, which was even MORE damaged than the original. The same part was broken. Otherwise, we would have combined parts from the two units. After contacting Target.com again, I was told that returning the units to the store was not an option. We did not keep the original packaging, because we planned to use the replacement packaging to return the original damaged unit -- and did not want to keep a huge box sitting around house for a couple of weeks. This is where the Customer Service TANKED. I was told that *I* needed to procure packaging for the original damaged unit and ship them both back. At this point, we had been dealing with this issue for a month. I told the agent that this was not acceptable, and asked to speak to her supervisor. During the conversation with the supervisor, the connection was extremely bad. After arguing with these people for FAR TOO LONG, I ended up having to go to the local Target store in an attempt to find packaging. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I was initially inconvenienced TWICE by receiving damaged merchandise. To inconvenience me a THIRD time is VERY poor customer service. I *did* go to the local store, and after dealing with a couple of very disinterested and unhelpful clerks, the store manager (the only competent and helpful person throughout this entire ordeal) was able to find packaging for me. I ended up packaging the units and setting them on my front porch -- where they waited until UPS picked them up. Finally, today -- and we are two months into this fiasco -- I had to call Target.com AGAIN, because the refund had never been credited to my account. Twice, the agent told me that she would contact UPS to pick up the merchandise. I FINALLY made her understand that they had ALREADY been returned. I just wanted my money back!! My original mild dissatisfaction has grown into extreme dissatisfaction. I have generally been a satisfied Target and Target.com customer, but not this time. I will continue to shop my local Target store, but never, ever, ever again will I order anything from Target.com. Rest assured I will be telling everyone who will listen about the horrible Customer Experience I had. This review was modified by its author, DebSexton, on

I always buy stuff from Target. I got a vacuum and a air filter a couple of months ago.
Everythin ships out super fast and is greatly priced. And free shipping :-) I love Target. I'm a target junkie, i like going in to the stores and buying from them online. You'll notice that more rare items are only offered online, while the regular daily stuff is in the store. :-) they have it all!

Bought a costume for my son 2 nights before halloween. Amazingly they shipped it out and it arrived on Halloween! it was an optional costume because quite honeslty, i didn't have the time to take my son out. but since it arrived, and they did something amazing, i didn't have any excuses. But was amazed at how quickly target was able to deliver.
It's amazing how all the big chain stores all have such poor ratings. I have to say over the yea, i've purchased from target both online and in the stores. i've even purchased online and returned in the store. All in all, it's always been a great experience.
You have to remember this is the target that 5 yeas filed for bankruptcy and almost went under. I think they've done an amazing job of turning things around.
I've never had any issues with target over the 12 orders or so I've placed in the last 3 years.

Overall I have been please with Target and target.com. Their in store staff are trained a lot better than their competitors. I do have one complaint, they sometimes take orders and preorders on target.com for items that are not yet in stock. They give you a delivery estimate and they ussually don't meet it. But for items in stock and shopping in store they are great
