"Tactical Gun Armory is the low price leader when it comes to guns. After doing a lot of research I purchased a Taurus 24/7 that appeared to be in stock. Had I known what the next 2 weeks were going to be like I probably wouldn't have. Two days after I ordered the gun and got all the paperwork done I got the apparently standard email, "The gun is backordered." After some googleing, I was sure that my money was gone, but when I called I got a polite person who explaned the situation, allowed me to change my order to something that was in stock, and promised it would ship in a couple of days. It didn't, but it did eventually ship a week later. There was no communication, other than the "It's on backorder email." TGA is not a stunning online retailer, but they are not the "crooks" some of the forums would have you believe. Just don't expect good communication, and understand that the gun business is looney right now. Sorry TGA but you are less than average. You did however sell me the gun at a good price, and delivered it to the FFL of my choosing."

I immediately contacted them by phone (it took several tries to get a "live" person) and spoke to Will expressing my desire to cancel my order. He said no problem and proceeded to cancel the order. I asked when I could expect my refund and he said 5 to 10 business days. Well, it's been close to a month now and no refund. I filed a dispute with my credit union. Nice thing about my credit union is that they deposited $567.00 in my account and now they're going after these guys.
Stay away from Tactical Gun Armory. They have next to nothing in stock and they take your money and then try to order your item for you from another source. If you want quality and service, go to GunsAmerica.com or MidwayUSA.com."

I waited thinking this was a legitimate business the 2-3 weeks they said it would take to restock. Nothing. I called by phone and asked for a credit on my credit card. Nothing. I e-mailed for a credit. Nothing. They are in my opinion at this time only in business to take peoples money. I would not do business with them again nor would I recommend them. I emailed again and told them I was filing a complaint with the BBB and miraculously my money was refunded 2 days later. "Outstanding price on xd-40 compact, with free shipping to boot, caused me to place an order on April 20, 2009 on their internet web site. Had FFL fax license next day. No gun forthcoming within the week. Checked and they said now they were out and it was backordered.Several weeks later still no gun but found out they had charged my Amex for the full amount already. Confronted, they said would issue credit back to Amex. It took them almost 3 weeks to do so. On June 5, 2009,over 6 weeks after I placed the order, still no gun in stock, and no idea if and when it was coming in. I cancelled the order and moved on. Very nice people to deal with on the phone, but it is obvious they take orders under the guise of having items when they dont. Expect now to obtain the gun nib through gunbroker.com within the week at a cost of maybe $25 to $50 above what I would have paid Tactical. By now I am happy to spend that extra money to be able to finally actually get the gun."
