"This company is totally misleading. I wouldn't buy anything from them again. They advertise a K6-III+ 450 for sale. I buy one. They send me a K6-2+ 450. This is not the same CPU. This is a Celeron compared to a Pentium III. They have a disclaimer giving them every right to make substitutions without any notice. I guess I'm screwed. Classic bait and switch. :( "

"Their Web Site shows condition NEW. But they shipped me used PC Card Adapter PCMCIA. Also they sent me a blank CD instead of Atari Anniversary Edition. Very bad seller and not trustworthy."

"it's rather curious how this vendor got such a high rating as of now. my experience with them is terrible. placed an order, got a confirmation, never ships, never responds to e-mail, nobody answers the phone which is not even toll-free. sure they'll offer a cheap price but will you ever get the goods. how much time you want to waste on placing an order with them, that is the question."

"This is NOT the best place to buy computer parts from. Don't be eager to buy from this place just because they have good prices. I purchased a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! card, CT4780 and received a Dead on Arrival CT4830 card which apparently was used, abused and had the serial number removed. On top of that, I opted to have it shipped via UPS but it arrived in USPS. I emailed them about canceling since it was more than a week and I didn't receive a shipping confirmation or a tracking number. On the day I received the card, I got an email a couple of hours later from one of their employees telling me to refuse delivery. How can I do that with USPS? I think it's a little too late for that now. They also have poor packaging and that is probably the reason why the card looked like somebody sat on it.

This company is a scam, regardless of their awards and positive rating."

"I had purchased a 'New' Microsoft Wireless mouse from this site. But when i recieved the mouse, I found that it was 'Old with scratches and oil spots' on it.Also, the mouse stopped working after every hour. I had to pull out the battery and put it back again to get the mouse functional every time.
I immediately contacted Surplus Computers. First,I had to pay for return shipping even though surplus computers had made a mistake in sending me an 'Old'. On top of that, it has been 1 month since i sent back the mouse. Till date I haven't recieved credit back to my credit card.
Later I found out from other forums that Surplus Computers does all this on purpose. They ship old products INSTEAD of new ones.
DO NOT BUY from these guys. They are cheaters."

"Placed an order with Surplus Computers. Delivery was slow and I had to request a tracking number... TWICE. The merchandise which I finally recieved did not work. Per their RMA instructions, they will not accept returned merchandise unless you have first contacted their technical support. I tried 3 times to contact technical support including leaving phone messages and email. I NEVER RECEIVED a response to my non working merchandise from their technical support. I jumped through all the hoops outlined on their wesite to return a defective item including faxing a request for an RMA. They ultimately did respond providing an RMA (same as order number, real high tech *eyes rolling*).

As Suggested in their own instructions, I bought and recieved Proof of Delivery of the item to Surplus computer but heard nothing back from seller. I attempted to contact them nearly a month later (like the other people who posted, I NEVER spoke to a live person despite having telephone numbers on their site for customer support). I finally sent an email requesting the disposition of the RMA to every email address that I could find on their website. NO RESPONSE!! I sent an email blast a second time and did get a response that my Refund was being processed as they no longer carried the originally orderd item (big surprise, nearly three months had elapsed). They asked that I be patient and that the refund was in the final stages of approval and to check my credit card statement for the credit. ANOTHER month has passed and NO CREDIT. This Transaction commenced on July 30 of 2007, it is now November 13, 2007 and not resolved once and for all for a $49.25 order!! Do yourself a favor. Shop Anywhere other than this seller; their customer service is non-existent, and their business practices criminal, taking money but not providing a satisfactory good or service.

"Ordered a tripod advertised as being 72" (6ft) tall. It was advertised for $19.99. The shipping was $8.75. I had narrowed it down to this one and a Slik. The Slik was near the same price but had free shipping, so it was around $8.75 cheaper, but the Slik was only 60" (5ft) tall. The primary reason I bought the no-name tripod from Surplus Computers was that it was a foot taller. I received the tripod about 3 weeks later, and lo and behold, it was only 5 ft (60") tall, a foot shorter than advertised. It is a decent tripod but I don't think it would be up to the quality of a Slik. I do not expect a refund but have asked for one, as well as shipping and handling both ways. They state on their website that they do not refund S&H, so even if it's their fault you have no remedy. However, in this case I believe I have other remedies as it is my opinion that they have broken the law. We'll see if local, state, and national authorities if notified will take any interest. I'll keep you all posted right here."

"PLEASE DO NOT BUY. They do not sell straight from the manufacturer. I bought Microsoft Keyboard and mouse combo. It says that it contains 4 AA batteries but it didn't have it. Calling their customer service is useless. They never pick up the phone. You can just email them. When I emailed, then they said that their products are all liquidation from Microsoft although their website did not say that. It was purely cheating."
