Ordered a Cannon PowerShot SX120-IS for 249.00 checked my local Walmart after I ordered and they had it for 199.00 called to return my camera but the 7 day return policy starts the day they ship so basically you can not return anything. Not very happy.

I wish I had seen this site before placing my order! I ordered a Canon 12.1 mp digital camera and 2 different canon lenses with image stablizer on each. My order continued to say backordered. After numerous emails and contacting sales agents I spoke to a guy that said he was up grading my lenses to a better lens. I logged on and found that my camera was erased from my order, and the lenses were Sigma not Canon that they were shipping to me. I had already contacted the better business bureau and filed a complaint in New York. I have contacted my credit card company and will have to wait till the charge applies to my account to dispute the charge of 379.97. I am thankful that I have copies of all my emails and a copy of the better business bureau complaint that I copied and saved. I will have to copy and send all my information to my credit card company and wait for a credit on the dispute. I will also include the complaints from this site to advance my case. My order has not been received yet, but I will make sure to refuse the order and it can go straight back to the company. If it looks to good to be true.....it is! Beware, beware, beware of stopandshopdigital.com. They are a fraud!

Buyer beware and definitely shop elsewhere
I placed an order [canon flash 430 EX] online $189.95 on a Friday night with them and on Monday morning to confirm the order was placed. I spoke to the salesman named roger I believe and he said yes he sees the order and wanted to know what kind of camera I was planning to use it with and I informed him I had a new canon EOS Rebel XSI/450D. He then informed me that the flash I ordered was actually for the use with film cameras and I replied I never heard of that. He in turn said that 430 EX II was the digital flash for the canon digital cameras and that flash was $289.95 and I told him there was no way I could afford that and he then said hold on and let me see what I could do. He came back to the phone and asked if I could afford another $80 total and I said no way and I said let me make a call which I did and one of the calls were to canon support and I was told that the person that is selling the flash don’t know what they are talking about because the original flash is also for digital cameras. I called roger back and he then asked me what was I going to do I told him I couldn’t afford even the extra $80 and he said once more hold on and when he came back I was asked if I could do another $40 more and he is probably going to get into trouble but would that be ok and I said let’s do it. Well when I received my new flash I was jazzed that I had the newer 430 EXII and when I went back into my back account to do some transactions I see that I was charged $289.95 total. I blew up and called them right away when I finally got someone on the phone and started to explain my problem I was informed that they couldn’t help me I needed to speak to customer service and I was transferred to customer service and waited and someone picked and asked how can I be helped and I started to explain my problem and I was placed on hold and not picked up again. I even called the one time for a request for an RMA number but was put on hold and left their and hold came back. I called again and the same practice was played again and I seen what games we were going to play. I disputed the charge with my bank and they disputed it with visa with the defendant and he claimed I agreed to the original price which I did not. Well this dispute went on for a couple of months and the outcome was the defendant stop and shop digital lied through their teeth about everything and especially I was willing to pay $289.95 which I could have bought the same exact flash from either EBay or Amazon for as low as $234.95 delivered to my door and that is where I found the defendant but he had the lowest price on the original flash 430 EX which was $189.95. Like I said to the bank and visa why would I pay $289.95 when I can get the same for $234.95 to my front door and even my bank said that does make sense and I even faxed the ads for the other flashes for the $234.95 and others for the same prices to my bank. But looking back now I guess this was a scheme just to lure people in and hopefully sell you some upgraded product and stick their hands in your pocket and pull out more money then you authorize and then fight it saying you authorized the price. Well if you don’t want to take my word for it just type in stop and shop digital complaints in Google and watch how many will come back telling you to stay clear they are scam artists. Take my word I am out an extra $60 dollars and peeved over the whole situation but the final outcome is I was taken for $60. I even called them back on 11/02/2009 and tried to find out if we could do something and I was told you bought this 4 months ago what you want from us. I said I was paying $60 more then I should have and I told by Robert that is what all of this is about only $40 dollars and I said no $60 dollars and it maybe not a lot of money to you but I am in a wheelchair on oxygen and $60 dollars is a lot of money to me and I was told don’t even go there and I was hung up on. So that is why I am informing the public about stop and shop digital. They should call themselves stop and scam digital that definitely does fit them better.

Same story as other reviews. Wish I had found this site first. Placed order for a Camera at about $50 less that what other sellers were advertising, $150. Next day, received email to call and "confirm" my order. Salesman informed me that the price did not include a warranty and the battery was only good for 15 minutes, and which upgrade package did I want to purchase? If I did not upgrade the order would take 4-8 weeks to ship from Japan. If I did upgrade, the order would ship within 2-3 days from the US. Would have been another $59 more dollars to upgrade. I cancelled the order and am watching now to see if I get my money back. Stay away from these guys, very shady, definite scam!!!

I ordered two Canon EOS Digital Rebel xSi Kiss for a total of $423.90 of which $25.90 was shipping fees. I was promised delivery by June 13th. When they did not arrive, I called them, got a very rude customer service rep, trying to sell me accessories, lens, etc, and I told them I already had the accessories, I just needed the camera. Then was told the order is 6-8 weeks for restock on those cameras. So patiently, I waited, 8 weeks went by and I called them again, and was told I was 9th on the backorder list and they would have them shipped to be by the 19th of October. Well, that passed, and I called and cancelled the order without a word, reported them to the BBB of NY. Then I find this site, and called my bank to cancel my card I used. I will not pay a 7% cancellation fee for something that is clearly a scam. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FOR YOUR CAMERA NEEDS. They are very rude, and unprofessional people.

I had a good experience with Stop & Shop. Bought a Nikon D3000 with a lot of extra items and still it was cheaper than the major discount stores. Ordered on Friday and received the item on the following Wednesday.

Ordered a Nikon D80 (beginner kit) which included Nikkor 18-55mm lens, 512mb SD card, Ultra high speed digital card reader, Camera bag, tripod, lens cleaning kit, lcd screen protectors, and camera body, for $399.00. I also paid $51.92 for 1 Day Air for a grand total of $450.92.
I ordered on a Sunday and called back on Monday, September 21, 2009 to confirm order. The representative informed me that this order did not include a battery and that I would need "their" battery which cost $84.99. Told the repsresntative that I had already looked up batteries and could purchase one for $14.99. He told me it was probably a 30 minute battery and I should buy their 4 hour battery instead. I told him that I wasn't sure what the hour rating was on the $14.99 battery and he said "then maybe you shouldn't say things like that sir when you don't know what you are talking about."
I thought this was maybe just someone who was a bad employee or having a bad day or whatever. I was completeley wrong. They are ALL bad employees and this is a ridiculous SCAM.
I noticed that they hadn't charged my card after a few days so I called again. This time I was told that my card would be charged when they received the camera and shipped it to me. I asked the representative what he meant by that. He told me that the camera would arrive to them in 6-8 weeks and then they would ship it to me.
This is when I knew this was a SCAM. I informed this person that on their website it said they had this product In Stock. He told me it did not say that. I told him that I had the printout from the page and had it in my hand. He said "Oh, well...we need to change that." Then he asked if I wanted to wait for the camera for 6-8 weeks and I told him "I don't know but I guess I have 6-8 weeks to decide."
He said "Fine, then we will ship you your imported Nikon camera to you when we receive it." and then he hung up on me.
So today I changed my credit card number to prevent any charges from this place. Absolutely ridiculous. I then called and cancelled my order. The guy said "we will cancel your order right away sir." and hung up on me. So I called back and told him that I would not be paying the 7% cancellation fee and I would report them to the Attorney General's Office. He again hung up on me.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY HAVE HUNDREDS OF BAD REVIEWS ALL OVER THE INTERNET, THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, AND COMPLAINTS WITH THE NY ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE.

I thought it was too good to be true and it was! I was so excited about the deal I got, which I thought was a happy accident on their site. A package that normally sold for $559 was listed for $259! I ordered and later that night I went to try and find the deal I got and it was listed at $559 again. I felt lucky, I needed the camera for some shoots on my week off, so I did 3 day select shipping. Now my week off is over and still no camera. I found all these bad reviews and called the company to comfirm my fears. I cancelled with them when they said it was backordered 6-8 weeks. I also called my bank and am having them issue me a new card just in case they might try to charge me anyway. Another lesson learned! ALWAYS CHECK MULTIPLE SITE RATINGS AND REVIEWS BEFORE ORDERING! I've since been comparing other sites. most of them have good and bad reviews...thats normal, a rating of 6-9 on a scale of 10. Then I compared that to this...no comparison! A 0.0 out of 10! Good gracious!

In July,I placed an order for an 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR AF-S DX Nikkor Lens AND a Nikon Zoom Normal-Telephoto 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor Autofocus Lens from these CRIMINALS. The next day I received 3 emails from these CRIMINALS asking me to contact them at their toll free number to “complete the transaction” but they were so eager that they called me before I got the chance to call them. After I provided the 3 digit number on the back of my charge card, the CSR asked me what kind of camera I had and when I told him that I have a Nikon d40, he kindly informed me that those 2 lenses “were not meant to fit my camera” because I “needed a lens that was a STEEL MOUNT”. As I am new to DSLRs, I fell for it and agreed to change my order to buy a NEW! SIGMA 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 DG Macro SLD Autofocus Lens PE. After I told him that I was only interested in the VR function, he assured me that “this NEW! SIGMA 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 DG Macro SLD Autofocus Lens PE has that AND more! because it’s a ‘PE’ meaning Professional Addition lens.” And he was going to give offer it to me for “only $300 even though the list price was $599.00”. I fell for it and placed the order and after I hung up the phone with him I received 2 more emails confirming my new order for the SIGMA lens and a tracking number for the shipment. Within a few days my SIGMA lens arrived via UPS and the “PE” did not appear next to the lens name OR the box it came in OR on the actual lens. FINE. I kept the lens which takes nice pictures but it still didn’t have the VR function that I wanted…so a few months later, my husband ordered a Nikon Zoom 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S DX VR Autofocus Lens (plastic mount) for me from Stopandshopdigital.com because he saw it advertised for only $249.00. When I found out where he ordered it from, I told him to BEWARE because he was going to receive a call requesting the 3 digits on the back of his charge card AND the CSR was going to try to encourage him to purchase a more expensive lens. Like clock work, it happened! But my husband gave me the phone to speak with the CSR guy instead because he didn’t understand the photography terminology the CSR was using. When I got on the phone with the CSR, who sure sounded like the same CSR who conned me into buying the SIGMA lens a few months prior, he told me that the lens my husband ordered was “not a digital lens” and that I “needed a digital lens” and suggested that I “upgrade to a 55-200 VR ‘digital’ lens”. NOTE that he NEVER mentioned that it needed to be STEEL MOUNT. I kindly told him that I am OK with the lens my husband ordered, then he got rude and more aggressive. Unhappy with his tone, I told him that I wanted to cancel the order to which he replied that I would be charged a “7% cancellation fee” which would come out to be about $40.00. When I asked him why the cancellation charge if my order wasn’t yet placed, he simply stated that it was their “company policy” so I told him, “Fine, let’s complete this order and I will not be buying from Stop and Shop Digital anymore,” he got even MORE RUDE. After a day of not receiving any order and shipment confirmation email, I checked with the Better Business Bureau and found 59 complaints filed against them within the last 36 months!!! And after I Googled the company, I was disgusted to find even MORE complaints from people who have been SCAMMED and VICTIMIZED in the same manor. Also be aware that their HOURS OF OPERATION are also LIES! It’s posted as “Monday-Thursday 9:30am-7:00pm” but the recording says that their hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 11:00am-3:00pm. Do not hesitate to call your credit card company to stop payment ASAP!

DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE THIEVES! I ordered a canon powershot sx200-is and like many othe reviewers was given a call back after my order was placed telling me that I should upgrade many accesories due to their inferiority and also that the camera only came with a 90 day warranty. I paid twice as much as the original price for a "high powered battery" and "rapid charger" also and "extended 1 year warranty" and also a camera bag. What I recieved was all stock accesories and the bag was too small for the camera. I contacted Canon directly and was told that I had been ripped off. That the battery and charger were exactly what is sold with the camera and that Canon provides a 1 year warranty on all of their cameras regardless of where the customer purchased it. When I contacted customer service I was yelled at by the person on the other end of the line. I will be contacting the better business bureau

THIS OUTFIT IS JUST A BUNCH OF CROOKS! I ordered a camera for $259.00. After taking my credit card information over the phone, I was told that that camera's menu was only in Japanese. If I wanted the English version, it would cost $420.00. I cancelled the order. Two days later, fraudulant charges appeared on my card. Luckily, the credit card company caught them.

I found the price of a digital camera attractive and ordered it back in May rejecting overpriced optional accessories offered to me over the phone at order confirmation stage. Now, in September, my camera is still on backorder. I guess I will never receive it, although they have my credit card number and other personal info. Stay away from this company!

I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB, I suggest you do the same. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. ALL THESE POSTS YOU READ ARE ALL TRUE. I ordered a Nikon D300 on August 13, 2009 and when I found out that they were scammers and deceitful, I wanted to cancel my order. I tried canceling the next day and the person that answered said my order had already shipped. Three weeks later I get my order and it is dated August 20, 2009 when it was actually shipped. THEY LIED to me. When I received my order the items were not what I ordered. The 4 GB CF card is actually 2x 2GB cards. It is very well overpriced. They don't answer emails. JUST DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE VERY UNETHICAL, RUDE...they will scam you...you name it. I just don't have time to deal with returning my merchandise as I am deployed overseas. I'll be safer to take my losses. BE CAREFUL DON'T BE A VICTIM. This review was modified by its author, dido123456, on

This is a scam !!!
As soon as I placed the order for the Nikon 55-200 VR DX for $119.00 I received an email asking me to call StopandShop to confirm.
I did and as expected they tried to sell me a different lens saying that the 55-200 was a very bad one. However, I insisted on getting this particular lens, bad as it was. After hanging up I went to check my account with them and lo and behold, my lens was on backorder although on the main page it says it was in stock.
2 days later I called and spoke with "Arthur" who confimed the lens being in stock. As soon as I confronted him and gave him my order number, he said that the import lens was on backorder but I could buy the American lens for over $200.
I haven't been aware of Nikon selling an "import " and "US" model of the 55-200 VR DX.
Obviously, they are scammers, stay away from these lowlife crooks.
I cancelled my credit card that StopandShop has on file and I am going to notify Consumer Protection and the NY State Attorney General.
Please do the same.
