I am deployed to Afghanistan and was recently introduced to cigars. I attempted to make my first order through the famed Cigars International. I was concerned about the cigars surviving moist and intact all the way to my little FOB. More than one package has arrived duct-taped back together, and shipping can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months to arrive. When I asked the CI rep if she could put a water pillow or other small humidifier in the package to make sure they were, she said "no" and asked if I would still like to continue my order. I hung up and dug around on google, when I stumbled on StogieBoys. They were clearly a smaller operation, judging from their website. I saw their stogies-for-troops packages, so I decided to give them a call. I got Sheryl on the phone. We got half way through the order and I lost connection. When I got it back, I called them again. I got Sheryl again. I ended up dropping another call or two. I continued to get Sheryl every time. She was really sweet and attentive throughout the duration. She walked me through my whole order and made sure I got what I wanted. She also said she would fill a water pillow and put it in with the cigars before they were shipped. She also told me about their 10% military discount. I didn't even know about that. She also told me I would be receiving a welcome sampler with 3 more cigars, a butane lighter, and a cutter. I didn't know this either. Her attention to detail making sure I got everything I possibly could (even stuff I didn't know I could get), is unheard of today. The box arrived just a week later. It was packaged very well and survived the rigors of random man-handling all the way here. To note, they also provide a nifty referral program as an incentive to bring your friends over. All in all, I would give StogieBoys four thumbs-up (grab a buddy). I definitely be a repeat customer. Please, I implore you to support this amazing little company.
