"Order two batteries from Sterlingtek. After several days I hadn't received any info on shipping. When I contacted them they stated it would take up to 7 days to receive my order. Since I ship my fair share of products from my business, I asked them how it would take that long for Priority Mail. They informed me it was sent 1st Class. Even with Delivery confirmation it shouldn't cost more than $4 but they charge you $8.
I have done business with this company for years and usually order enough to get free shipping but after this rip-off they have lost my business."
"Ordered a NB1L replacement battery for Canon camera. Battery came fairly quickly. Charged it up and a week later tried to use it and it was dead. Charged it again and a week later it was dead again but my old worn out Canon battery still had some life in it. Called CS and was mailed a replacement and a label for a return. When the next battery arrived it wouldn't even accept a charge. Sent them both back and received a refund less $8 shipping. Both items were mailed USPS 1st class and probably cost less than $4 with their commercial rates. So they sent me junk twice and still made money out of me and I'm out $8 for the pleasure of being sent something that didn't work."
"I pretty much purchase everything online now a days and rarely do I have a problem as I do a fair amount of research on the companies beforehand. So When I purchased a charger from SterlingTek, I figured I was in for another great experience. I ordered the 16th, and the product arrived the 19th. The problem was that they sent me the wrong product. So I contacted them and they said they would overnight me a new one and I was to send back the incorrect one. I sent it back the same day so they should have received it within 4-5 days. I have never received the replacement and any attempt at a refund has been refused. I am not one to get worked up over something as small as a 25 dollar purchase, but I own my own business and I can't imagine treating any of my clients like this. They did fine at first, but dropped the ball when it really counted. "
"I never received an order number because my credit card never went through due to some problem at the bank. That is not the problem. The problem is that they never tried to contact me about this. Not an email not a phone call nothing. When I called to see why my order was taking so long they claimed that they had tried to contact me via phone. This was not the case. When I checked my missed phone calls there was no 1-800 number nor was there an out-of-state number which is where they would have been calling from. There was also no email of any kind. I know a normal business, in a failed attempt to contact someone, would try to make contact via a different method. I was so pissed off I told them to forget it and ordered through someone else. BTW the item I had ordered was a charger for a camera battery. A camera that I happen to use all the time so when the battery charger crapped out we needed a new one stat, which did not happen. A month later I was searching the net for another business to go through which I found, (and was pleased if you read a previous review of mine!)"
"It's easy to give a good review when you have received your product or at least a reply to your email. I suspect all the people that have given Sterlingtek a good review had no problems. I'm a seasoned online buyer and I am used to track my order when I buy something. I'm used to receiving notifications when a product ships with a tracking nr. I've received no communication besides the one when I ordered. Two months later and I still have not received what I ordered. I've mailed them a few times asking for a tracking nr but they NEVER reply. Do not buy from them. You might be one of the unlucky ones with a problem and you won't get any service."

"I ordered a Nikon battery (EN-EL9)from Sterlingtek and it took weeks before I got it. It worked fine for a few months and then it suddenly died while I was taking some family photos. This was my backup battery, BIG mistake ... Also, they clearly advertise a one year warranty ( http://sterlingtek.com/nieneqba1.html ), but they wont respond when you try to contact them. Do not buy from them unless you want to waste your money and time with their poor products.
"I live in South Africa. I ordered 2 Canon equivalent batteries for my EOS300D. Paid via Paypal. The equivalent battery in SA costs about US$100.00. I received 2 for US$32.97 delivered to SA. They arrived in less than 2 weeks. I have and will in future recommend Sterlingtek to all my friends and colleagues."
" The shopping and checkout experience was fine, my order was being shipped to a P.O. box so I didn’t expect a tracking number, however I did expect an email letting me know that it had shipped. I had placed my order on Wed. and by Thursday all I had received was an email confirming my order. I emailed them and got a reply by that afternoon that they had shipped the same day I had ordered it. the package had already arrived in my box! Very efficient shipping, good customer support, they even gave me the tracking number (USPS doesn’t track packages very well... however it did show my package got put in the mail). I am very pleased with the product. It is exactly what I was expecting, third party batteries. The color is more green then the picture on the website… but I couldn’t care less LOL.

"Ordered 2 BP511 batteries from them on Saturday. Received them Tuesday. Very fast service. Would have been a better experience if they emailed me when they shipped it, however. Great experience nonetheless. Hopefully the bad batches I've heard them have were finally replaced by now. Batteries + charger seem to work well for the time being."
