"Their prices ARE too good to be true! If you're only ordering a camera and no accessories, you can pretty much forget it! Starlight Cameras is THE WORST vendor I've ever dealt with (and I've dealt with a great many).
I called to cancel the order that I placed on Sept 12th because I knew they would not fulfill the order. I asked "What's the status on my order?" The Sales Rep asked, "When did you place it?" "September 12th." "What did you order" "A Minolta Dimage Z1." "What else?" I said, "Nothing." Then the Sales Rep said, "OK, call your credit card company to see if you card was charged." I replied, "I just checked on-line and it wasn't." The Rep said, "Then the order was cancelled. Thank you. Goodbye." Then he slammed the phone down without listening to my reply.
Honestly, it's exactly what I expected of these crooks. Basically, if you only order a camera, forget it. You have to order other crap or no dice. This interchange was actually MUCH more polite than the original call I was REQUIRED to make in order to complete the order on Sept 12th."
"I ordered a camera from this company online. After waiting a week without recieving a phonecall or even an email informing me of a successful purchase, I called the customer service line to check on the status of my order. The man on the phone was extremely rude to me. He insulted me and then canceled my order because I did not need any additional parts for the camera and then he hung up on me. I'm disgusted and insulted, these people deserve to go out of business. Do not order from them if you expect to be treated with respect."
