"Good service all around, except when I checked on my order I found out it took 3 days from the time I ordered it to ship, and I was picked up and put back on hold alot waiting for customer service.
"I ordered a Sony DSC F828 on October 13, 2005. I did get an email asking me to call to confirm. I called and Scottasked if I would be interested in some other items. There were two items I agreed to and two that I told him I didn't need. I did comparison pricing on the two other items I purchased and the prices were fair. Scott offered me a free camera bag since I ordered the two additional items. After I made the confirmation call I decided to check the reviews and got a little nervous. I shouldn't have been nervous because everthing I ordered came to me today October 19, 2005. Thanks Scott!! Gayle"
"Ordered via 800 number. Found staff to be courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. A little pushy on add on items, but ok. Price was GREAT, delivered as promised"
"I was looking for a camera featured in Consumer Reports, and EveryPrice.com showed that StarGate Photo had the lowest price. EveryPrice's page also invited me to "Read 1128 Reviews". There were 10 pages of listings, and nearly all I would classify as positive, and very different from what I see here on this site. Here are the first reviews on each of EveryPrice's first five review pages:
EveryPrice.com Read Reviews PAGE 1) "Positives: All I can say is I wished I had found everyprice.com first, before ordering a canon camera from buy.com. Stargate Photo offers the same camera at a much lower price and apparently also has a much better service department. Next time I will start at Stargate"
EveryPrice.com Read Reviews PAGE 2) "Positives: fast delivery. didnt try and sell me a bunch of stuff i didnt need. will use this site again."
EveryPrice.com Read Reviews PAGE 3) "Negatives: NO Overall review: wonderful job great help from customer service and technical support."
EveryPrice.com Read Reviews PAGE 4) "Positives: stargate photo was wonderful to work with. us a day later was easy to talk to and gave us valuable information. I would definitely purchase from this retailer again."
EveryPrice.com Read Reviews PAGE 5) "Positives: The video camera I purchased was shipped quickly and the product arrived in excellent condition. We have enjoyed recording special family moments with our camera already."
Based on these EveryPrice.com reviews, I placed an order with stargatephoto.com for a camera only. Within minutes of placing the order, my phone rang, and I accepted some overpriced add-ons that I actually needed. The overall price was still a good deal, when I added everything up. The camera arrived very promptly, and all the accessories, including a high-speed memory card required for the camera's movie mode, were recognized quality brands.
When I was checking online for a tracking number, my order was never updated from my original web order to reflect the additional items, and a tracking number was not provided on the web.
If I had read the reviews here first, I would have chosen a more trusted internet vendor. My own experience is more in line with the reviews here, and not consistent with the "reviews" on EveryPrice.com. While I didn't have a particularly enjoyable or comfortable purchasing experience, I ended up with a nice camera and the accessories I needed, at a fair price I was willing to pay.
I've purchased other cameras in the past from NYC dealers, and the sales approach - lowball advertised offer, followed by aggressive sales upgrading - still results in what are pretty much the best camera deals on the planet. I'm used to the approach they take and expect it. What I am most disappointed in are the "reviews" on EveryPrice.com. I wonder if they are made up, or maybe presented in a format advantageous to the client. I don't have any confidence in them any more.

"Ordered online, got a telephone call-back e-mail immediately, on the weekend, and called on Monday morning to recieve a high pressure sales pitch for the memory chip and batteries. Neither memory chip or rechargeable batteries were included. Then tried to sell me the camera bag, which was thrown in "free". Authorized three day shipment, two weeks later still no camera so I called, 866 number didn't work. Nutbar, pushy, rude, and obnoxious "owner" tells me what he's gonna do for me. Expects me to thank him for it as he talks over me while I'm trying to talk to him. Camera wasn't in stock at time of order but is now, will ship for free, upgrade 128 meg chip to 256 "free", and will "throw in the camera bag free". Then tries to sell me the 5 year warranty for another $200, but offers me the whole package for $480 (original order is $408) and I accept. Three days later camera arrives, with only original order materials in box, for original order price. Called back and talked to "same voice", who says it wasn't him I talked to before, but will ship out 256 meg chip and extended warranty for another $72. Camera is beautiful, terrible service, will never do business with wawa again. On the second call the sales person was polite and calm, on first call was a total yankee nutbar!"
"I ordered a Casio EX-S500 from the company. The price was way below anyone else which should have been a clue. I got "the email" to call and confirm the purchase. I had ordered from someone in NY before and got this type of email also. This was a different company though. He told me this was a "refurbished" camera. The site SAYS that everything they sell is new. I mentioned that and he said well, this one is refurbished. He quoted me a price on a "new" one and it was still cheaper than anyone else. I went ahead an ordered it. He did try to sell me a memory card, case, etc. I said no. They are supposed to just send the camera. We will see what happens. After reading all these reviews I call my credit card customer service and requested the # changed on my card. They go by many names, WaWaDigital, Stargate Photo, CameraWiz, Inc. It's no wonder they have to keep changing their name. Don't buy from this store. I did finally get my camera on 4/23 after three calls to try to find out if the order had been shipped. The camera seems fine but did come in a plain looking box but having not seen a normal Casio box I could not tell you if this is normal or not. I also was not "given" a free case for the camera as promised when I complained about the "insurance" charge on the shipment."

"Add the name "THE DIGITAL EXPO" to what appears to be numerous company names used by The Camera Whz Inc. (or The Camera Whiz - two different spellings on the invoices). An online listing for prices for a camera listed the lowest price by The Digital Expo. We chose to order by phone verses placing an order by internet. My telephone order went fairly smoothly (I was prepared for the "hard sell" and had predetermined what I was willing to purchase). Although I have not found any problems with the camera and other items ordered there was a delay in shipping the order without any explaination or information from the company. They were quick to charge my credit card but from what I can deduct from the UPS tracking information (the notation of when the billing information was recieved by UPS) they were extemely slow about paying for the shipping so that the package could get on it's way. UPS did not have billing information recieved until 4 business days after my credit card was charged. UPS delivered in 5 business days from the time of their origin scan. Thank you UPS for being ontime. I probably will not order from this company again do to their unreliable shipping practices and difficulty contacting them during hours that they are supposed to be open but were not. The invoices and billing to my credit card was from The Camera Whiz (or The Camera Wiz). At this point one wonders how many names this company is operating under. "
"I bought the Kodak Z1275 for $199 and with shipping was $221. I call the number in the e-mail and was told it did not have a SD card, The man said he would give me a free Camera case if I would buy the SD card, so I said ok and now the total is $307.99, I got a $24.00 SD card & a 50 cents Camera case for $86.99. They have good prices on the Camera, but hit you hard on the Sd cards. So if you do business with this guys, just buy the Camera and get the SD card later"

"This is the WORST internet company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They advertised a low price on a Casio Z40 camera I was interested in. Then, when I called to confirm the order, they attempted to sell me a battery for which I had no use. When I wouldn't purchase any "extra accessories" for my camera, the salesman told me that the camera was unavailable for the next 3 weeks. I told him I wanted to cancel my order, he said, "Fine" and hung up on me. When I called back to find out if my order had been cancelled since the rude salesman hung up on me, I got the same person on the phone. He told me that the camera was not available and that the order had been cancelled. I told him I wished to speak to his supervisor. This is when he told me he was one of the owners!!! So if the owners are treating their customers without any regard for professional courtesy, you can imagine that the attitude permeates throughout the company. I strongly recommend that you have absolutely NO DEALINGS with this awful company."
"Checked for lowest prices on net. WaWa digital was lowest. Called and placed the order for a canon a95. Sales rep wanted to sell a 256 flash memory card for 149 $. I told him it was a gift and the person could buy what they wanted. He cut the price in half on the card trying to sell it. I just wanted the camera. He then took the order. 9 days later I called to check on the order. The person was very rude and told me it was out of stock and hung up. I called back and asked that my order be cancelled and was told ok. I will call back to make sure it was cancelled and this WaWa company did not rip me off. I think the camera was in stock and the low ball price was to sell the cards and charge 25$ for shipping. I would not recommend this company at all. "
