They allowed me to get a new laptop within days and to my own specifications and at a great price.<br><br>I have never written to comment on a company before. But in this case, the service from Star Tech was so exemplary, I fealt I had to. I was in a pinch to have a laptop within 3 days. However, as a hardcore type, I wanted to be able to specify all the options in the machine. I have had great luck building desktops from scratch using ASUS motherboards. When I discovered that ASUS sells laptops that can be totally customized by third parties like Star Tech, I was very interested. I quickly found that most ASUS laptop resellers simply put their own packages of features together with no more flexibility than buying, say, a Dell. Well, not good enough for me. I found Star Tech on the ASUS web site and gave them a try. They were fantastic. They put together just the options I wanted and none that I didn\u0027t at an extremely competitive price, and went the extra mile to get the machine to me in two days, in time for my road trip. I did ask that no OS be installed so I could do it myself. To my delight, they sent all of the driver and other SW CDs, and everything just worked! I don\u0027t want to leave the impression that everyone using Star Tech needs to be able to install their own OS. I am very sure that had I asked for everything pre-installed, that everything would have just worked out of the box. <br><br>Major kudos to Star Tech, John on their sales staff, and the whole team.
