"I ordered and paid (my credit card was charged with-in 5 minutes)for an item on Tuesday May 8th to be shipped to me 2nd day UPS because I had a job that needed to be done BEFORE the weekend, an E-mailed invoice showed up within minutes of ordering. TWO DAYS later on Thursday May 10th at 2:35 p.m. I received an E-mail, not a phone call, that the item I PAID FOR WAS NOT IN STOCK but that they had a similar item that they could send out, and to please respond by E-mail if I needed it. Prior to this I had tried to track the item but SpyTown didn't list the tracking no. on the E-mailed invoice even though they list a place for it on the invoice, at the time i thought it was no big deal since I should have received it 2nd day, anyways I did approve of SpyTown to send the replacement item via E-mail and asked if they could credit me on the shipping charges or send it 1 day ship because of the time constraint, I waited for a response and got NONE. I then called them after a while and spoke to a salesperson who ALREADY new about my E-mailed response and told me that they're sending it out. He had stated that Clover did not have the original item in stock that I ordered, I knew there and then that SpyTown had NEVER had the item listed on their website in stock. Though the salesperson was cordial on the phone I tried to ask about the shipping charges and if they were sending it red label but he just hung up after stating he had seen the E-mail approval and where it was shipping to. Nearly a week later (today is May 14th) I still haven't received my order, more importantly I haven't received an update on my order via E-mail with any shipping details, though they list a "link" to track my order, the link doesn't go to the website SpyTown states it will. I work in Law Enforcement and this has been a terrible experience. Before ordering from SpyTown please take the time to read the customer reviews, especially the negative ones, and you'll start to see a pattern on how they take care of customers. Pause. As I conclude this review I had just spoken to Amaury (he was cordial) at SpyTown and finally got the tracking no., after 32min. 14sec. on the phone (most of it on hold) I was TOLD that the delay was because it had to be ordered THROUGH THE MANUFACTURE. That's right, the replacement item I approved of was ALSO not it stock. It seems that SpyTown is just a middleman of sorts. I was given a partial credit (have to check my credit card) on the shipping charges, and though Amaury was understanding on the phone, SpyTown can't make up for misleading me about what they had or don't have in stock. By the way UPS needs a signature for this item (it's suppose to be here late today, no telling when they'll get here, just another day wasted to get a $100.00 item. "

"When things go well we tend not to leave feedback, hence feedback tends to be very negative. But, I was so pleased with the handling and shipment of my order that I had to comment. I had special shipping needs which I made very clear in the comments field during order placement. Initially there was some difficulty with my shipping needs and so I simply instructed a simpler and less complicated method. A few days later Jamie from customer service and her supervisor Carmen contacted me and informed me that they had worked it all out and that my order was being shipped (has shipped) according to my original instructions. I have had several exchanges via e-mail with Jamie and without exception the response was within an hour or two. A very positive experience with SpyTown. Thanks Jamie, thanks Carmen."

"I see lots of you are having bad experience with this company but mine was great. They upgraded my shipping to 2nd day to get it to me by Christmas."

"The worst place to buy stuff online for business / resellers or ELV professionals. If you keep waiting for their reply you will not only loose the loyality to your customers but a huge time to make any backup order. They will keep on promising to revert your emails but never does. Most of the stuffs mentioned In-Stock are not there."

"I ordered a component on 10/25 and it was supposedly in stock. They charged my credit card the very same day. I received an email confirmation the following day with a link to check on status. Status is always the same "should ship within a day". I emailed asking status last week, no reply. I called today and got a very rude employee who kept trying to convince me that they only put an authorization against my credit card, not true, they charged me the full amount. She said it won't ship for another 2-3 days but she clearly didn't know when it would ship. I asked to credit my credit card until it ships, but I doubt this will happen. "

"While they shipped a few days after my order, they require a person to wait for the delivery to sign for the item. Spytown will not allow the customer to sign a release so the item can be left by the driver, nor will they allow the customer to pick up at a FEDEX location. When I asked for them to contact FEDEX to allow me to sign for the item at a FEDEX location - they refused, citing their policy.

They also claimed that the delivery was refused, and that someone had to be home to refuse the delivery. Not true.

It appears that their business model is to make their profit on restocking items they have never delivered to customers.

Unless you can spend all day waiting for a delivery to meet their requirements - don't use these guys. The only reason I did was that they popped up when I searched for an item on Amazon - they don't now."

"I ordered an item from Spytown's website with overnight shipping. The order went through and I waited... five days later I called and, after a lengthy hold was informed that the item was not in stock. "

"I ordered from this merchant because I had a fairly short delivery deadline to meet and they were only one UPS zone away (and thus should be able to deliver overnight) and claimed to have the product in stock.

I received an order confirmation email, and then no further communication. Two days later I contacted them only to be told the product was "out of stock" and was being ordered from the manufacturer, and would be shipped out the next week.

It is entirely misleading to pretend to have items in stock when in actuality they are just being ordered on an as-needed basis. It's even worse that they fail to communicate the out of stock nature in the confirmation email. Had they done that, I would have had time to reorder from another vendor.

If they had a distributor do the fulfillment, and thus could still meet the delivery time expectations, this would be fine. (There are many online retailers that outsource fulfillment and are essentially virtual stores.) But instead they slow-ship the product to their facilities in NY, then ship out the product from there.

On the upside, I did get a prompt and courteous reply via email from "Jamie" when I asked about the order status. But this is little consolation for the deceptive product availability.

Unless you can tolerate a week or more delay in delivery, I don't recommend this merchant."

"This Jessica chick... man, how does whoever own this business let her talk to customers this way? She actively turns people OFF to this business.
My story is the same. Ordered $1800 worth of stuff. Waited. Called. Got Jessica - don't know her personally but she sounds like one of these nasally Latino chicks at the DMV who thinks you are a jerk for even breathing, let alone talking to her. Literally a stereotype out of a sitcom. This girls life must be pretty awful for her to take it out on everyone on the phone.
Anyhow, they were out of the controller I needed for the whole system so they wanted to send me a 'new and updated' controller. Except that it wasn't. It was an overpriced version of a striped down version of what I wanted. "It's like the old one only better" Jessica whined through her nose. "You want it or not?"
NOT. I cancelled my order and took my business elsewhere. I don't want Jessica and her employer to get my money. They didn't earn it."
