Ordered on March 3.
Received email notice on March 10 that the product is and was out of stock and MAY ship soon. The product, a Winegard MS2002 antenna is in stock at lot of other stores.
I called and SolidSignal's sales rep explained that they may stock items or have them drop shipped. He refused to upgrade shipping because of the delay.
This is not a responsible attitude at all toward conducting business: to list and sell merchandise as though it were in stock without knowing or even particularly caring if they have the stock to sell. This borders on fraudulent practice.
The salesman claimed to expect the product in supply within 1 or 3 days, maybe....
I'd think twice before dealing with SolidSignal -- I think this is a fairly common experience with this vendor, and it puts them solidly in the bottom end of internet vendors in terms of business practices.
The key is whether they know what they have in stock, and what they are offering for sale on their webpage: there is NO, repeat, NO, excuse for not SolidSignal not knowing what they have available to sell!
I would have chosen another vendor if I knew that the product was 'backordered'.

Please understand that many times the manufacturer may change the Estimated Time of Delivery and that is why we like to inform our customers that the item may ship soon, rather than promise it will. Ordered a coax amplifier splitter. Said it would ship in 4-7 business days. Come to find out today that its on back order until April..???!!!..I dont think so. Told them I wanted them to refund my card. I hope they do as I dont feel like going through a bunch of crap. Very unhappy and sorry I found this site. Looks like LOTS of people wish the same thing.

I am sorry you are disappointed that your product was not shipped in a timely manner. Please know that sometimes the manufacturer may change the estimated time of arrival on products.

This company is a rip off got a atsc digtal tv tuner from the goverment program did not send remote so u could add or delete channels without remote this box is useless i was to;d they no longer carry the box would have to by one from the manufacturer dont buy anything from this company

I am very sorry you did not receive a remote with your converter box you ordered from Solid Signal. Please know Solid Signal is unable to ever open a converter box to make sure that the manufacturer has included the remote. Unfortunately we no longer have any remotes, but I would be happy to contact the manufacturer and have them send you one. In order to help you I would need you to contact me with some information.

Very dissatisfied.
11 AM this morning I ordered five of a certain product via the solidsignal.com website. The order was to be delivered via Next Day Air so I could give them as a birthday gift the following day.
To make sure there were no problems with the order, especially since it was a next day air order, I called to verify receipt of the order about half an hour later (I also added something small to the order).
Of course, after my call, I believed all to be good and went about with my day.
Around 3:15 I receive a call telling me NONE of the items I ordered for the gift were in stock.
Yes, even though the website showed the items in stock when I ordered them, and even though I called to verify the order.
Had I known earlier I could have found an alternate store to purchase the items from. Now it is too late.
The website never should have accepted the order (and charged my card) if the items were in fact not in stock. Additionally, when I called, I should have been told right then, not four hours later, that the items were not in stock.
Very, very disappointed and would not buy from solidsignal again.

I have now ordered twice from solid signal, and they are great. A co-worker recommended them to me, and I am very pleased. They ship out your order fast, and have great prices. I've never had a problem, so I have never had a reason to call customer service! Highly recommended!

I ordered a Winegard HD 7698P High Definition VHF/UHF HD769 Series Antenna. I placed the order on Saturday and the it arrived on Tuesday. Wow...that is fast. I had read the reviews on ResellerRatings and was skeptical that SolidSignal might ship me an "open box" antenna but charge me the price of a brand new one. I called up SolidSignal and spoke to a kind lady named Rachel. She assured me that SolidSignal would not do it. With me, SolidSignal was true to their word. The price was great, the delivery was quick, and Rachel was very pleasant to talk to. I'd do business again with SolidSignal.

Super fast! Ordered 11/16/09 rec'd 11/18/09. Order was just an eave mount for an antenna, box was damaged a little bit but no worries as the mount is heavy steel.

I had a terrible time with this reseller. I clicked a Google ad from them claiming the YX510 was only 267.99. When I clicked it sent me to their main page. After looking around I found the product they advertised. It was an open-boxed item and depicted in the small writing. I also noticed they required a 10.00 rebate to be mailed in to get this price. Now for the worst part..... The rebate was expired. In the end, they wanted 277.99 plus 7.95 for a used item advertised as new. The seller wasted about 30 minutes of my life that I want back. Go elsewhere if you can find your way out. Stay away folks !!

I bought a analog to digital TV convert box (Access HD) from Solid Signal with the government coupon. After receiving the box, I found it could not be powered on. I contacted Melissa.She replied promptly and agreed to switch the box with another brand with the same price and they paid for the return. So far I feel positive regarding the customer service of Solid Signal.I checked Fedex and they have received the return box on Sep 9th. Let me see how thing going. I will update this post later after I receive the replacement.
Update: I received the replacement today. Works fine. Thanks for the customer service,nice and prompt.

I had a problem with my order with Solid Signal and they resolved the problem promptly. They shipped me a CM-7000 that had been opened. I have spoke with our warehouse manager and we are shocked that you got a box you feel has been previously used. I checked your order notes and it doesn’t seem you have contacted us in order to resolve the issue. I would very much like to resolve it now though. I am going to give you the direct contact to our returns department and make sure you are taken care of at no charge to you of course. We would be happy to send you out a new CM-7000. Nice packing job,this firm slapped a UPS tag on the box the item came in.It is a miracle it
survived the journey.I would shop elsewhere as
these people are too cheap to buy boxes and packing materials.

I apologize if you feel your item was not shipped out to you in the proper packaging but I assure you the boxes we ship in do meet shipping standards. If you felt your item was damaged in any way during the shipping process we would be happy to exchange and double box which we do for everyone who has shipping concerns.

The product is the Winegard 2002. The antenna went bad after 2 days. I had to send it back and was charged shipping - BOTH WAYS. So I spent over $20 for a faulty antenna. I will never use this company again. I really feel ripped off. I contacted customer service and they really couldn't care less.
UPDATE:
The complaint I entered here went straight to the marketing department who then got back to me immediatly to set things straight. They in fact noticed that I was supposed to get free shipping and they agreed to refund the whole purchase price without deducting shipping, and promised to credit my return shipping fee.
They mentioned they would try to communicate to customer service what was going on, so if you have a problem contact customer service first, then go to marketing.

They had the best price for the converter box I was looking for... Channel Master 7000. Yes, it was sent without an outer box, but I did not notice any damage to the contents. I made my order late on Saturday, May 23, and it was shipped out on Tuesday (Monday was Memorial Day). Nothing to complain about with this retailer, so in fact, I've used them again to order converter boxes for my mom. I should mention that I had trouble when trying to set up and use an account on their website. I think it's because my e-mail address is long and/or because it has a hyphen in it, but I received an error when trying to place the error. Fortunately, nothing went wrong (for example, DTV coupons did not become invalidated) and I was able to submit the order without using an account but still specified my e-mail address for receiving the status of the order.
