posted May-15-2012 “Our return policy is clearly stated on multiple parts of our website. Once an item has been opened, it is no longer in brand new condition. We do accept returns on items that have been opened, but there is a restocking fee of 35% because we will not be able to resell the item for the same price as if it was brand new. The restocking fee also covers the original shipping cost to the customer, and the processing fee for the payment that was made. Local stores do not usually have a restocking fee because they have much higher prices for items, enabling them to resell items that are no longer in brand new condition without losing money. They also do not have the shipping costs if the item is purchased in-store, and they don't have the processing fee if the item was paid for with cash. That is one of the tradeoffs when buying an item like an appliance online. Websites like ours usually have much lower prices than local stores, but we do charge restocking fees on all returns that were not due to an error on our part. And Amazon actually charges restocking fees up to 50% for returns that are no longer in new condition and were not due to an error on their part if you read their return policy. So we encourage all customers to read our terms before making a purchase.”
"Be very careful about their strict return policy. We ordered a Broan Elite Range and Blower and found out that they do not fit into our kitchen, because the opening is too large that installing it will destroy the mainframe of the house. We have not used it for once.
According to their policy, any item that has been opened CANNOT be returned or can be returned with a reduced price. We end up with paying $300 dollars + $135 shipping back the items for something we didn't use for once.
If you buy from a chain store such as amazon, this wouldn't happen."
