"I tried to order a camera lens from them and after trying to sell me the same lens at a higher price I said no thank you I will take the one I called about and they hung up on me. I called back to see if there was a problem and they wouldn't answer the phone. Obviously a price scam!"

"EXTREMELY aggressive salespeople. Tried to purchase a camera, but the price on the phone didn't match the price on the website. I asked and they fed me some crap about it being "A U.S. warranty versus a store Warranty." They wouldn't sell the camera without a bloated accessory package that left the price $600 over what I found elsewhere. I reluctantly placed the order because I thought they were the only people who had it in stock. I gave it a few minutes thought, and decided against it.

When I called back, it took 10 minutes of arguing with the salesperson to transfer me to the manager, and then they put me on hold for about 30 minutes. After waiting and waiting we finally got the manager - and he basically refused to cancel the order. He threatened to charge us a 'cancellation fee' even though the salesperson on the phone hadn't told us about a cancellation fee. It took another 10 minutes of arguing with the manager to get him to cancel the order. It was so slimy that it seemed surreal. He kept saying "Yes - you can cancel the order, that's your choice.. but here's what I'd like to do." Then he would ignore me and try to talk me out of it, even if I kept saying "Cancel the order, cancel the order, cancel the order now." he would just ignore me and try to sell me something else. Insanity. Finally he just said "Okay, I'll cancel the order. Have a nice day." and hung up."

"BAIT AND SWITCH!!! I ordered 2 Canon lenses and a Canon 2x extender from them. They had one of their people call to try to switch me to a Sigma lens for one of the 2 I ordered. I told him several times that I had done my research and knew what I wanted until he finally stopped and hung up. 2 days later I fet an email that they are cancelling my order due to a backorder. I have already filed a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General. Do NOT buy from them!"

"SkyPointDigital.com is a dishonest "Bait & Switch" company. We ordered a digital camera from the website, only to find out that that camera had been recalled by Sony months earlier (they should have known!), and then we were told that we could get an "upgraded" camera for $350 - turned out the camera was on sale at Best Buy for $199 & the "accessories" sent by SkyPointDigital.com were not as described. They also said that no Sony cameras were sold with batteries - a COMPLETE lie verified by Sony. We tried on several occassions to resolve this by offering to buy the camera without the extra $150 in add-ons or just send everything back & call it good. However, there was a $75 restocking charge(even on the first imaginery camera), so in short, we were outrageously overcharged and repeatedly treated rudely. I hope that the $150 SkyPointDigital.com made off of us makes up for having a reputation as a bait & switch company that SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're also filing a complain with the NY Attorney General's office."

"A letter to my Daughter Re: SkyPointDigital.
My dauther just enrolled in College this year to study Photography. I would like share with you that, My daughter was born with Spinabifeta she is in a wheelchair and will be all her life. well we took her Federal loan money. We bought her a Canon d5 not a problem until I told the salesman we

had a very tight budget we could not afford the upscale
Canon Package. with hesitation he placed the order. (It Was
A Hard Buy.) We recived the letter a Day or two later my
Daughter was so upset. Well I think I can do somthing about
this where others may not. The money was a Federal Grant
and I believe this was a deliberate act of fraud. I live In The
Great State Of Arkansas We can still talk directly to our
repesenitives at the Capital by first name.
I have not heard not one thing about my daughter order and I believe it to be a switch and bate scam. I really wanted the company to step up and produce the camera she needs for school.

"Buyer Beware! If it sounds too good to be true, it IS! I ordered a Sony Camcorder with 5-7 day shipping. I was then sent an e-mail to confirm the order. Got put on hold for a while then forwarded a voicemail. Called again the next day and waited on hold for about ten minutes. I was then told my order would take SIX WEEKS for THEM to get it. THEY ARE SELLING STUFF THEY DON't EVEN HAVE!!!. The person on the phone was rude and apathetic as if their false adverticing campaign was my fault. Luckily my credit card wasn't charged yet and I've notified my card's security department to be on the lookout for a fraudulent charge. When you see their too-good-to-be-true prices... MOVE ON!!!! "

"OMG... I am so worried about this transaction now. I ordered a camera on 12/9, and was told 12/10 that the camera was on backorder and they pushed a "package" price for nearly 2x the price I had originally planned to pay. I declined and asked for my order to be cancelled. The rep asked me to hold and my call was transferred to another line with a recording informing me that they were closed...I called back immediately and I believe I was speaking to the same rep, although he denied being so. I asked again to cancel my order, he confirmed that it was canceled, then abruptly hung up. I waited about 10 minutes and called back, this time hearing a different voice from a rep. I informed him that I wanted to verify again that my order was canceled, he responded sharply with "Yeah, its canceled, but don't you want to buy that camera"? I politely replied NO...He then hung up...I AM SO SCARED THAT THESE PEOPLE HAVE MY BANKING INFO..THEY SOUND LIKE SCUM AND SCUM ARE CAPABLE OF MUCH WRONG DOING...BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE...I only wish I had know of this site first "

"I just got ripped off today and wished that I checked this web site before making the order. Last night, I was ready to purchase a Canon VIXIA HF M31. I found that SkyPointDigital.com was offering it for $549.00 in the advertise section. After I went to the link, I purchased extra accessories with the camcorder so the total was $649.00. I was feeling great about my purchase. This morning, I got an email to call the company to confirm the order. I called and gave them my security code on my credit card. Then, the sales person was telling me that I needed a 5 hour battery rather than the extra 2 hour battery from the package. I told the sale person that I thought that the camcorder came with a battery and that I was getting the extra 2 hour battery for the package, but then the sales person said that the camcorder does not come with a battery. I could not understand why, but the sales person said that the $549 camcorder was a stripped down model that comes with no battery. So I agreed to pay an extra $60 for the 5 hour battery upgrade. I thought that I was done, but this was just the beginning of being lied to. Making me feel vulnerable, the sales person was asking me why I wanted to buy the model I ordered because it's a stripped down model that does not come with a battery charger. I told him that I thought the camcorder came with a charger, but the sales person said that the camcorder doesn't even come with a plug to charge the battery. At this time, I was getting worried. He also said that this camcorder was all in Japanese and that I should get the camcorder in English. So I agreed to the English camcorder. There were other things that I was lied to (such as the memory SD card and warantee) that I will not go into detail, but the sales person made me feel that I was getting a good deal and that he was doing me a favor. He also made me feel that there was an urgency to order at that moment for the good deal so I felt pressured, and I made the big mistake of accepting the order of $799. Since the shipping was free, the sales person he told me that I had to spend $65 on insurance. Now that I think about it, that is ridiculous. The total became $864. After I hung up with the sales person, I felt like I got cheated and called back to cancel. I had a hard time talking to anyone about this. There was no customer service. Then, I called to the original phone number and asked for sales so that someone would talk to me. The person I talked to was the original sales person. He said that I would have to pay a cancellation fee of $75. I was confused and scared so I told him that I would have to get back to him. After asking other people for advice and afraid that the company would send me a broken product, I called back and said that I will proceed with the cancellation thinking that I can protest the cancellation fee on my credit card. This sales person was trying to talk me out of this and made me feel guilty. When he figured out that I just wanted to cancel the order, he told me that he will do it as soon as I wire him the $75 or send him a money order. I couldn't believe this! It went from a nice purchase to a nightmare in less than one hour. I ended up arguing for awhile that I wanted to cancel the order without sending him the money order because I was not made aware of this fee when I made the order. The sales person kept telling me that he can't cancel the order until he gets the money. I requested to talk to the manager, but the sales person said that he was the manager. He told me that he cannot cancel the order unless he got the money order so he will proceed with sending me the item. I told him that I did not want him to send me the item because I did not want to pay for the 10% restocking fee and that I wanted to cancel the order. We ended the conversation without any resolution. Later in the day, I called back to try to argue some more, but someone else told me that the order was canceled. No one should have to go through the fear and nightmare that I had to experience today. I don't understand why shopping.yahoo.com allows this dishonest company to advertise on their web site."

"Same as all of the below reviews. They are a scam! I would NEVER call them or order from them again. They leave important information off of their website, make you call to confirm the online order, and are rude and dishonest once they have you on the phone."
