"At first I wanted to start with a bunch of 4 letter words showing how upset I was. but than I thought about it and realized what was the point of a review if all it consisted of was ranting?

So I am REALLY disappointed in the quality of service from SVC. I ordered a VERY IMPORTANT part Fri. and paid Overnight for it. I received a call a few hours later telling me that they were gonna charge me less and it would still be here Sat.
Cool, save money and gets here next day.

Ok now its Sat and no part. I figured ok Mon for sure, Nope. Now its Tuesday and still no part.
Like I mentioned several times to the SVC staff it was REALLY REALLY important that I get this part quickly.

So finally I calmed down and called them and was told "GET THIS"- because they wernt very busy my part never got shipped out till Monday.?????

This is now the 3rd time I have had a problem with SVC and shipping. Three strikes and ur out guys, never going back.

EDIT: 1 day delay?? Your employee said I would receive it Saturday...It showed up Wed. (thats quite a bit more than 1 day)
And how exactly do you make up for those days lost waiting for the part? (you cant)"

“We apologize for the delay. There was an unexpected problem with our USPS mailing found after hours resulting in a one day delay in those packages. "Excellent store, productions and service. Gear that even Newegg doesn't carry! Nexus acoustic dampensers, their own fan dust filters.

Only thing better than the products are the service, they will look stuff up for you, combine multiple orders to save on shipping and even explain their products!

Really excellent service!"

"SVC is a reliable and very trustworthy online merchant specializiing in parts for your PC. The prices offered by SVC are much lower than other online stores. SVC offers a wide variety of shipping options, including USPS Priority Mail. Their website is very nice looking and very easy to navigate. You will always get an order confirmation email and emails informing you on the status of your order. SVC processes and ships orders quickly and efficiently. From time to time you will find special deals that are mind blowing. I highly recommend that you do business with SVC, you will definately enjoy shopping here and I guarantee that you will be a returning customer like I am."

"This was my third time at SVC, everytime I picked up the order because they were so close.

Like always, their website was very easy to browse, and ordering was a cinch.

However, every single time I go there to pick up my order, I felt very unwelcomed to their store. The first time I went there it was at an older location, next to a liquor store. I stood outside waiting, figuring out how to order, even though their website was welcoming of "Will Calls."

The second time I was there, I believe it was at another location, which looked more like an office. Again, when I went there to pick up items, the employees did not acknowledge my presence.

This time really got to me. I ordered last night, called them today to confirm my order. The guy on the phone was quite nice. He informed me that my order would be ready for pick-up, just let him know what time to expect me. I thought this was going to be a great visit.

I was wrong.

I went into their new location, walked in, found a semi-broken stand that said "Will Call, Pick-ups here." So I waited there. While standing there I decided to have a look into their warehouse, through their large window.

I saw a couple people looking rather tired walking around. They were picking orders up for internet purchases. They took a glance at me and kept walking. I continued standing there next to their Will Call.

I was going to have a seat at their computer terminal to check out what else they had, but I didn't want to waste my time. And so I continued standing. I saw one guy in the cubicle getting things done, and figured he had nothing to do with getting orders, but instead working on the internet venue. A couple people walk out of the warehouse and take a glance at me, again I was ignored. I understand that if they were part of the warehouse, they didn't have to deal with customers, but COME ON. At least acknowledge that I'm here waiting for an order, and get someone to help me.

After those guys walked away, I tried my best to make eye contact with someone. There was one last guy, he looked at me, walked towards me and looked away, then walked into the warehouse.

Ok. So basically they say that they are more than welcome for Pick Up orders, yet their employees don't welcome me. The guys were back from lunch or something, and kept talking about what a slow day it was. If it's so slow, then help me out. I work at a large electronics retailer, and understand the science behind customer service. These guys had nothing.

So the guy in the cubicle turns around and sees me. He quickly gets up and asks what I needed. Within minutes he grabbed my order, asked me to sign some papers, and I finally got out. It took me no less than two minutes to spend my money with SVC, but it took them over ten to provide any type of customer service in the store. I realize that they are an internet based company, but if they welcome Pick Up orders, then they should come up with a better way to do so. Get a bell or something. Three purchases in a row over a period of two years and you'd think they'd fix the problem.

I think I should just order online and have them deliver. It seems to be working for everyone else. My mailman provides better customer service anyway."

"Made a small initial order from SVC and was very impressed with speed of arrival and eveything else. This place definately looks like a "keeper" A few more small orders will hopefully tell.
Am very impressed with large amount of parts that they seemingly stock and especially the super cheap freight pricing and speed of delivery, got cross-country delivery in 3 days from time of order till time of arrival."

"I Stumbled across this site from a google search. Prices are very reasonable for the products and shipping works out cheaper than driving for will-call pickup. Customer service via IM very responsive and courteous. I am impressed with SVC and have already referred a few friends to them. I will continue to check with SVC first prior to shopping elsewhere."

"SVC continues to impress me with their great pricing, great shipping options, and fast processing time. I've been using SVC quite a bit lately, and for the smaller items, I literally can't find better pricing and service. Newegg used to be my store of choice, but their item pricing and shipping pricing has skyrocketed lately, so SVC is quickly filling the spot Newegg once occupied on my list of favorite online PC hardware stores."

"SVC used to be one of my favorite online stores. They have
great prices on cooling gear and usually ship very fast. I had my last
order in 2 days from when I ordered it (USPS Priority Mail)!

Despite the following flaws I would recomend them to anyone looking for value and service. They used to have realtime order staus but have not been doing it for a while as well as in stock status. I have run into some unexpected outages of items listed as in stock.

UPDATE:
4/27/2005

Well it looks like the issue of real time stock and order status has finally bitten SVC in the butt with this previously "Very Satified" customer. Two days after ordering a Logitech cordless keyboard/mouse combo I was informed by email that it was "Out of Stock". They did ask if I wanted to sustitute another product but did not have one to my liking. And a sustitution would not have arrived in time as this was intended to be a Birthday present. When I order I like to be able to know within a day when it will arrive as well as know I can get what I want! I am now quite dissatisfied and fed up with not being able to find out my order status and know if they say an item is "In Stock" that they actually have one available. There are too many online retailers who offer great service to continue using one that's not what it used to be. Now lets see how long it takes them to refund my account!"

"Bought a few cables on the 16th, got it on the 23rd as promised. Shipping and handling is kind of steep. Nevertheless, email notifications are prompt. Will definitely do business with them again if I need more cables. :)"

"SVC has been s constant source of computer peripherals for me over the years. I have probably placed over 30+ orders with them, and had only minor problems, usually regarding addresses. However, this is okay because it means they are definitely trying to be safe with their transactions.

SVC is the only place to go for smaller computer components, imho, and I will continue to shop there for years to come."
