"I purchased a new Toshiba 52" HD TV through EBay from Sunshine Electronics back in January 2009. A day after we were confirmed as the winning bidder, my wife received a call from Sunshine Electronics. She was convinved by Sunshine Electronics to purchase an extended in-home service protection plan. We paid an additional $399 to Sunshine Electronics for this 3-year warranty extension. We received information in the mail from a company called Consumer Priority Service (CPS) a few days later. I registered the warranty information on-line and received a 3-year warranty card from CPS with a Membership ID number a week later. A little over 14 months later, my new Toshiba HD TV started having display problems. I tried to utilize my warranty. I called CPS and they, after a couple of days of phone calls, told me that Sunshine Electronics sold us a 2006 warranty that had expired. Why would we purchase a 2006 warranty plan for a 2009 new purchase? Especially when the original Toshiba warranty is 12 months!! I've left emails with Sunshine's listed email address and have not heard back from them. The only telephone number that I located justs rings and nobody answers. I've read many internet postings about how dishonest Sunshine Electronics is. We realize that we've been scammed. A local authorized Toshiba service center has quoted a repair price higher than what a new HD TV would cost. We're hoping Toshiba will help us out since the TV started to have problems only 1 & 1/2 months after their warranty expired. We realize that Sunshine Electronics just wanted more money than what we paid on EBay. The other companies that Sunshine Electronics seems to go under are Cyber Discount Warehouse and Pyxis Camera. I will never, and I urge others, to never do business with this company."
"I bought a NikonD40 in march of 2008. Recieved the bundle deal from them and the 70-300 lens was not the one avertised. they send me a manuel lens instead of the automatice which they should have sent. Also items sent in the bundle were very cheap. I called many times and sent e-mails as request by Mark at shop sunshine. Even before i bought the camera bundle i called to make sure i was getting what was advertised and they said yes. I would not buy anything from them, as soon as they have your money they dont care. Beware of this camera shop."
"Sunshine electronics sold me a greymarket lens that stopped functioning shortly after purchase. They did not tell me it was imported illegally. Paypal has their bank routing number and that bank has this persons information. So why exactly is nikon, ebay and paypal absolving themselves of all responsibility and not helping with this situation?"
"Does anyone have the contact info for Sunshine Electronics. I purchased a Nikon D90 from them back in april, but yesterday for Thanksgiving I went to take the camera with me to dinner, but it fell out of its case and the lens and LCD screen cracked. I bought extended coverage but when I called CPS, the coverage company they told me Sunshine or Digital Shopping Network never paid them So in essence Sunshine ran off with $200 dollars and now they are out of business. "bought Canon EOS 30D package and 5 year warranty from repairtech with it for $450 on August 29th 2007. repairtech than went out of business and was trying to contact sunshine for refund and found out that none of their number on their web site works. "I ordered a New Nikon D60 kit, plus extended warranty, and expedited shipping (quoted as two day overnight) on the phone from Sunshine Electronics. Delivery had to be by July 2nd and they assured me it would be there. It had not arrived by the 3rd, and I was leaving town for 2 weeks. I called Nathan at sunshine-he said he would re-route the package for delivery to me on July 5th. The package arrived July 11th long after I had left. They said they would issue a full refund or re-send the camera and kit to me when I called them on July 13th. I have recieved neither refund nor camera and am disputing the charge with AMEX. Avoid this seller!"
"I purchased a Canon XSI and multiple lens/accessory package from this company. First, they tried to send me Sigma lenses instead of Tamron. I caught that early enough and called before the item ever shipped. They said, "Oh. I'm sorry. I'll change that right now." As if that was an every day bait and switch. I received the package (2 weeks later) with all of the accessories included, but I realized then that they had switched to a different brand of digital flash than I had ordered. I received a knock off brand instead. Also, the "deluxe" bag I was supposed to receive was not only the wrong size from what was in the advertisement, but it had absolutely no pockets or storage space in it like was promised. I called them and spoke with manager "Marc Johnson" who emailed me the address and "return instructions". I followed the instructions to the letter. They received the returned package which was signed for by "S. Sax". That was two months ago. I have not received any response to my multiple emails and they won't return any of my phone calls. I had big plans to recommend this company, but instead they have opened me up onto a warpath telling people not to trust them. I have already filed a complaint against them with the BBB of NY and left negative feedback on eBay. This is a ridiculous scam. Because I am in Oklahoma, I am limited in being able to walk into their office and tell "Marc Johnson" what I think of his company. For now, I guess I am just screwed unless the BB can get something done!-Mike B."

"I recently purchased a Nikon D90 Safari package. My salesman, Kevin, also sold me an additionally 3 year warranty. I was preparing to leave on a trip to South Africa and needed the camera package immediately. Kevin assured me the package was in stock and would ship within 3-5 days. After 10 days and receiving no notification of shipment I called and talked to Nathan Thomas. Nathan assured me that the package was being put together right then and would ship that day. I received no email or notification so I called back the next day. This time Nathan told me that they had a problem with the shipments the day before but my order would definitely go out today. Still nothing that day so I called back the third day and said I was going to cancel my order. Nathan said to give him an hour and he would provide me with the shipment tracking number. I called back in one hour and he did indeed give me the tracking number and my package arrived the next day. But, the packing invoice clearly stated that I was to receive a 67mm telephoto lens, I received a 58mm lens. I also did not receive the extended warranty information. I called and talked to Nathan Thomas once again. Nathan said they never ship 67mm telephoto lenses, they always ship 58mm lenses with adaptors, if I didn’t like it I could ship it all back. I told him to ship the lens adaptor and the extended warranty information; I was tired of dealing with Nathan at this point! I broke out the camera and found that the card reader and the live view mode on the camera would not work. I first called Nikon support directly and they said the camera was definitely defective and I should return it to where it was purchased for a replacement. I once again called and talked to Nathan Thomas. I explained the problems with the camera and my need for a replacement immediately due to my scheduled trip – he said they were out of D90 cameras and it would be at least 2 weeks before they would have a replacement. Nathan also said that at the time I was pushing for my camera to be shipped they had a batch of defective cameras on their dock and it was possible that they sent me a defective camera. At this time I said I was sending everything back and asked what all I needed to include in the return package. Nathan stated that I must include a copy of the invoice and a letter stating why I was retuning the package. I packaged everything up and sent it back immediately. The shipment was refused at shopsunshine because I did not have a return number – something Nathan conveniently neglected to tell me on the phone. I have now been trying for almost 2 weeks to contact customer support at shopsunshine to get a return number and the customer support number reports they are closed every day. I’ve registered a dispute with AMEX on this purchase and I strongly recommend that no one ever do business with shopsunshine – ever!!! At this point I have an incomplete shipment, I’m don’t have the telephoto lens or the extended warranty package, both listed on the invoice, and I have a defective camera! The customer support at shopsunshine is terrible, everything about shopsunshine is terrible!"
"My husband and I purchased a Nikon D90 Digital SLR Camera +2 VR Lenses in a package. After it was ordered my husband received a call from a salesman, Kevin, telling him that in order for the camera to be capable of taking pictures at the 4.5 frames per second it has listed in the specs on their web page, he needed to upgrade the processor. (Shouldn't it be sold able to do what it says it can?) He also proceeded to sell my husband an extended warranty covering 3 years. This was an additional $150.00. Our $1,200 camera is now $1,500. When we received the camera a lens was missing but was to be delivered a few days later. It was but the warranty was on back order and two months later we still don't have it. We have sent multiple e-mails and I have called the numbers listed on their website and packing list only to hear a message stating that they are not open. I am calling during their listed business hours. The camera is good but the accessories shown on the website are not all the same manufacturer advertised. They also mislead you into thinking the items are larger than they are. I would never use the table top flexible tri-pod with this camera. It would not support the weight. Not entirely happy with the purchase. Disgusted by the "customer service". "
"The worst seller I've ever met. They will rob you. They list their camera PACKAGE at reasonable price, but after you pay all the money for the whole package, they selectively miss shipping an important lens. Without contacting you, they refund you some money that falls short and tell you the sales has been completed. It's typical bait to cheat tactic. Wish I had never bought from them.To reviewer lrhoades1959, your experience is similar to mine. I bought the "Nikon D60 Digital SLR Camera Body +2 VR Lens * NEW *" PACKAGE from Shopsunshine/Digital Shopping Network thru Ebay and paid through Paypal. I just filed a dispute thru Paypal. A similar Nikon D60 package without the Nikon 55-200mm AF-S VR lens sells less than $600 at Ebay, $210 less than the Package sold by Shopsunshine supposedly containing the lens. Also, a brand new Nikon 55-200mm AF-S VR lens sells between $210-$250 at Ebay. ShopSunshine should refund at least $210 for the missed lens that they couldn't deliver.I just found out that it seems that shopsunshine/digital shopping network has been kicked out of Ebay. They don't have any rating or items listed there anymore. What a shame!"
"I purchased the Nikon D60 KIT from SunShine Electronics, what a deal I thought. I did a lot of SLR research and for the camera and money the KIT was a good buy. I also did some research on Sunshine Electronics and found a lot of mixed reviews. BUT, I took the chance, which I should not have and should have listed to that little red flag. Well, I am extremely disappointed in their Customer Service. I did receive all of the kit except the 55-200 VR Lens from them. I immediately called them and they said that the lens was on 'back-order', the documentation on the packing list did have 3 letters, but non that would be taken as on back-order. The person on the phone said that it would be sent in about 2 weeks. I waited over 2 weeks. I called last week on and they told me that the camera would be available last Wednesday, the 22nd and that it would be shipped the fast way possible to me. Today, Tuesday, I called again, I talked to one person and they said that they had credited my Paypal account 125.00 for the cost of the Lens that it would not be available for 6 to 8 weeks. I was never notified from Sunshine Electronics about any delay's in the lens and I was not notified by them of them going to credit my account. I did finally get something from Paypal letting me know that I had the credit but it was in Pending for at least 4 days. I then hung up and called again a few min. later to find out what they could do, if they had another lens that met the same standards as the Nikon 55-200; to which they said no. I asked them at that time for the owners name, which they did give to me, but with reluctance. When I hung up, I was very disappointed as the ONLY reason I went with this kit was the lens and I was very disappointed with myself with NOT going with my gut feeling and avoiding this purchase. I called again to tell them since the lens was not available that I wanted to return the other items and get credited for everything; to which they informed me the 30 days were up. THIS WAS VERY UNETHICAL of this Company and I feel VERY VIOLATED!! I would NEVER recommend SUNSHINE ELECTRONICS from New York to ANYBODY. P.S. Upon receiving my package they also tried to contact me and sell me another lithium battery; to which I said NO, I believe I was then marked for poor treatment.P.S.S. I had save money for a long time to be able to get a SLR camera and Nikon is whom I chose to go with, I don't think Nikon would appreciate a company like them representing their products. "
"Let me tell you how an order at shosunshine.com is been processed. You see that nice and friendly webpage with not amazing but very competitive prices. Well described with all legitimate terms and conditions. Under shipping it’s clearly stated your order will be shipped in 1-2 business days… fair enough! Then you call the toll free # and nice and polite sells rep takes your order. You will not get order conformation by email or a receipt of any kind at lease I didn’t. And after u get it, u read it thru and it says “allow 3-5 days for you order to be processed if it is a time sensitive delivery it will be shipping sooner” (that’s a false advertisement and in USA is illegal). So u wait your 5 days and u ask yourself what happened with my camera after all I am paying substantial amount of money? So u call them and they tell you your order will be shipped next Tuesday, BUT they will upgrade your shipping method so u can get it in 2 days or so. You are nice enough because well something could happened to everyone they might have too many orders or half of their employees could be sick (that btw would explain the 20mins waiting on the line to talk to customer service rep.).anyhow the day comes u check you order status and it only says “send to warehouse” just like the past 15 days so u email them because u are sick of waiting and they tell you how much they are sorry and they will shipped on Thursday and they will do free overnight shipping for FREE so u can finally have your camera after 20 days. The day came I was more than upset to see there is nothing about my camera so I called to be honest with you to cancel my “order” but by the time I tell them my order# they told me it will never be shipped! ! ! Ok I got my money refunded on the very next day but that’s 20days later and I don’t have the camera I wanted to buy. And in this 20 days the other cameras I was watching on ebay.com got sold and I still can get one because shopsunshine.com. I am not trying to hold anyone back from ordering from them I only ask u before u press the “buy it now” button to think about is the $100 saving worth all this? There is always a great chance u will hit another similar scam but at least you are warned about this one."
