"I can't remember the invoice number or date (at home right now). We ordered their special of a DVR-107 with 50 free blank 4x discs. We received the drives, but never got the blanks. I've left them feedback via their website, left them voicemail, and faxed back their invoice to them about the problem. We have received ZERO feedback from them other than their continual invoices. Avoid this store!"

"I ordered a white Japanese import PSP on August 3 and I received the package on August 10th, the shipping time could have been better but nothing prepared me for what I saw when I opened the package!

Instead of my lovely brand spanking new PSP, I found two BUTTER KNIVES!!!! I IMMEDIATELY called customer service and explained my situation (basically what I just stated above). He asked me for my order#, I gave it and then he asked if there appeared to be tampering, I said no that it was duct taped, at which point he fixated on those two words and asked if the tape was clear (I felt he wanted to try and catch me in a lie so he can say game over, problem solved), at which point I said yes. And UNBELIEVABLY, he says "but you just said duct tape" I can't believe this guy, first of all, I'm UPSET because I JUST got TWO LOUSY butter knives INSTEAD of the $200+ PSP I ordered!!!! AND you're fixated on the fact that I said duct tape??? I even offered to take photos of the box with contents, which I did and emailed to the representative but after the duct tape moment, I felt he was so sure this was consumer fraud on the consumer end and just told me he was filing a claim with UPS. I asked him if it was possible the mistake (more like THEFT!) occurred in the warehouse, to which he replied that it was "impossible" since all the products are tagged with bar codes (like that makes it impossible to steal??). He even stated that it was impossible for the PSP to have been replaced with two butter knives since they don't have butter knives in their inventory but it's a warehouse so don't they have inventory from other places??? And if it's theft, the butter-knives-not-in-inventory excuse is not valid since someone OBVIOUSLY replaced the PSP ON PURPOSE with TWO BUTTER KNIVES!!!!!!! So basically, he told me to reorder and I won't even get a refund right away because they have to "investigate" for god knows how long since the representative neglected to even tell me how long it might POSSIBLY take to find out. And even then, if their investigation with UPS discovers that the package tampering didn't occur with UPS, doesn't that mean it happened with them???? As of right now, I feel very frustrated and dissatisfied that this problem will be resolved in my favor (which would be SO UNFAIR!) due to the very shoddy customer service I got, especially in the face of such an upsetting incident.

I have to add that I am an avid internet shopper and this is the FIRST time this has EVER happened to me!! I have received LCD’s and other expensive electronics (hard drives, routers, mp3 player) in more obvious packaging MANY times from both UPS and the USPS with NO problems!!! Why does this occur with shop4tech the moment I buy an expensive electronic (I bought a pack of CDs prior to this)????

Even if they FINALLY give me a refund, the fact of the matter is I will NEVER shop at Shop4tech.com again, not for the CHEAPEST electronics in the world!

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

To summarize:
Pros -
1. Price
2. Website Design/Layout
3. Orders in your Account Summary
4. Free shipping (Don't know if it applies to all products)
5. Coupons

Cons
1. Customer Service "

"Sent wrong item, would not refund return shipping. Eventually refunded my original payment with a seperate PayPal transaction for which I had to pay a commission to PayPal. Customer service was rude and insulting."

"I purchased three cartridges of black, cyan, magenta, and yellow aftermarket origin for our new Epson 7600. The black & cyan appear to work OK, but the magenta and yellow cartridges clogged the machine, which would have voided its warranty had I not been able to clear it by running genuine Epson ink through it in several cleaning cycles, wasting a lot of $60/ cartridge ink.

Shop4Tech emailed me a mailing label to return the magenta cartridges, but when I had the same clogging issue when I changed the yellow cartridge some time later, refused, insisting I pay the return freight, which is probably under $6, but I don't see why I should pay to return defective cartridges they guaranteed to be compatible. Considering the worry I experienced wondering if I'd voided my warranty I'll never trust them again. Subsequent emails to the company have gone unanswered, other than the initial response by "Hiandy" demanding I pay the freight.
No wonder their rating is dropping."

"I wasn't at all impressed with this vendor. First my shipment took three weeks to arrive, then the item I ordered was absolute junk, and they quoted their "no return policy" when I tried to send it back unopened. I read the policy, but that little tidbit is right at the bottom. Never again."

"Ordered 150 mini-CD paper sleeves with window. I never received a shipping email/tracking number, which is unheard-of these days. Customer service picked-up first couple of rings, and were actually quite nice, even though they still had NO tracking info for me. They just said, "It has shipped and should be there in a few days." Unacceptable.

Yes, shipping was free, but 7 days to get from CA to CO? When the package finally arrived, the sleeves were simply thrown into a brown box, with a shipper and no packaging material. Must I count the sleeves to ensure all 150 were shipped? Shoddy.

With so many other companies to choose from online, why would I be so stupid as to return to Shop4Tech?"

"I ordered from them for about a year, loyal customer because their prices seemed good and I had no problems.

But God help you if you do have a problem with an order, because their customer service is insultingly bad. They had mislabeled a product I ordered. I called immediately and told it would be no problem to change it for another, can we call you right back sir? So of course they didn't call me back.

Then, when I called again and got to someone else and explained the whole problem again, I was told that I should have known that a particular brand of DVD-Rs is branded with the manufacturers logo, everyone knows that, even though the website said that they weren't. So it's your fault and you'll have to pay for the return.

Screw them, bad business decision. I'm going somewhere else. Seems like supermediastore.com has even better prices and much better customer service reviews."

"Their customer service is very bad.
2 days shipping end up with 2 week. I want to return it and ask for 15% fee eventhough the item is not open. I will never buy anything from them."

"Ordered a game for my daughter for Christmas Dec 7. On December 8th received a e-mail informing me my credit card had been charged and item had shipped. December 14 I received an e-mail telling me that the program was back ordered through Jan. and did I want to cancel my order. I'm just hoping they really do cancel my order. They don't seem to be very trustworthy. "
