"I have had the worst experience with shoebuy.com! I ordered a pair of shoes for a friend to be sent to her as a gift on June 3rd. Today is the 18th and I was just notified that they have been shipped. For the past two weeks I have been waiting for that email and I called customer service about 4 times, each time the line was busy. I emailed customer service 5 times, and got one response saying I will get another email in 24 hrs. That never happened. I am so furious, finally I talked to someone and they gave me no explanation on what happened to my order. I only hope they actaully get there at some point. Bottom line, I would not advise shopping at shoebuy.com, they are unreliable and their customer service department is unreachable and not helpful."

"HATE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ORDERED A SIZE 8.5 IN COLORIFFICS, AND THEIR SIZING WAS SOOOOOO OFF. I ENDED UP NEEDING A 7!!!! AFTER SHIPPING THEM BACK, THEY SENT THEM BACK TO ME SAYING THAT THERE WAS SCUFF MARKS AND THAT I HAD WORN THEM!!!!!!! I LITERALLY TRIED THEM ON AND PUT THEM RIGHT BACK. THEY SOLD ME A PAIR WITH TOE MARKS. I'M GETTING MARRIED AND HAD MY DRESS SIZED TO FIT THESE SHOES!!!! NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER ORDER FROM THEM!!"

"Bought a pair of Doc Martens and followed their steps exactly for the 110% price guarantee because I found the same shoes for significantly less. Received email stating they were refusing to pricematch stating other site didn't have a size 11 shoe. I ordered a US 12 (UK 11) pair of shoes and the other site showed a 12 in stock and they are a US store and if they didn't clearly indicate whether it was US or UK it only makes sense they were advertising the US size. Sent two emails to shoebuy.com stating that the other site had matching size and that I needed a response and from them within 2 days, and that was over a week ago and they refuse to respond. I refused shipment and will be disputing charge with my credit card company. Pretty poor service when I followed all the steps of the price guarantee exactly."

"I wouldnt normally ever buy shoes online without trying them on first, but I thought due to the free returns policy that it would be okay. So I got my boots delivered and they did not look like the color I ordered but I figure that maybe the picture online just looks different than in person. So I wore the boots around my house for a whole day to see how they feel. The first few hours they felt fine, but after a while they started to pinch my toe. When I woke up the next morning with a swollen toe, I figured I better get the next size. I sent the boots back for an exchange. I got a new box and opened it to see that the color was indeed the color I had originally ordered, but not the color of the boots I got. But then I read the invoice saying that the boots weren't returnable due to "dirty/scuffed soles and heels." Well thats great, now I have SOMEONE ELSE'S worn shoes in the size thats too small. Easy to say I wont ever buy footwear online again, particularly from shoebuy."

"The shoes did not fit quite right after one walk around my carpeted living room. So I attempted to return them. Shoebuy sent them back saying they showed signs of wear. Ridiculous. I tried them on for all of one minute. Shoebuy's customer service was unhelpful and does not seem to care about customer satisfaction. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY."

"Shoebuy would NOT expedite shipping on a pair of Merrells, but their website clearly states the following:

2. Expedited Shipping

If you would like to pay for expedited shipping, complete your purchase and then contact Shoebuy.com Customer Service toll free at 1-888-200-8414 or from outside the U.S. at 1-617-451-2880. A flat rate fee will apply if the merchandise is available for expedited shipping.

Aside from this deception, they will also charge your card before the product even ships. I'm still trying to get my money back from this order which was canceled 15 minutes after placing it.

Lesson learned, first and last time Shoebuy customer. I turned right around and used another online retailer and received my shoes the next day!

"Buyer Beware - Shoebuy.com is a very sloppy site. I ordered two items for Xmas delivery and it was indicated that I would receive the shipment before XMAS. With respect to one of those items, I received a shipping notice and tracking id and received my order timely. On the other item - NOTHING, not even a shipping notice. And, of course the other item was a gift for my Mother. I sent an email inquiry which went unanswered. I then called customer service, who hung up on me. I called a second time and the customer service representative, who was entirely too harried for the job, complained only that she was glad the day was almost done - gosh - who cares about the customer! She did provide me with a tracking number, but her disdain for her job and for me was only too apparent. The Holidays are stressful enough - I will NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN."

"Ugh! This is all you need to know about shoebuy.com and their respectability as a company. After having never received the 2 pairs of shoes that I have purchased, I now have to wait 8-10 business days while they investigate. Now, over 2 weeks later, I have paid for the shoes and still await a resolution. I was told that upon completion of the "investigation", they will contact me with my options. WHAT? A worthwhile, customer focused company would immediately give me 2 options... "Would you like us to replace these items or would you prefer a refund?" No such luck, just silence from a phone customer service representative and a pleasant email from another telling me that I'll need to wait. See, they're investigating. Nice. Honestly, never again, ever. I'm disgusted and currently out nearly $70. "

"I purchased a pair of work boots for my husband in Aut. 2009 to wear to his new job in a warehouse. My husband drives a forklift. He only wore these boots to work and always kept them polished. Much to our surprie the boots fell apart three months later in Dec. I contacted ShoeBuy.com and told them that the boots were defective. They sent me an email back and instructed me to send the boots back for them to review. After we hed to pay the postag to send the boots back to them ShoeBuy.com sent the boots back with a note saying "no defect,extreme wear-7 months old". Since when do you wear boots out in three months? When I sent them another email asking them that and telling them how disppointed we were with ShoeBuy.com we never heard from them. I would never buy another thing again from ShoeBuy.com!"

"I received a 25% off coupon from shoebuy.com, checked availability of the shoes I wanted, and placed my order. Whoa, I then get an e-mail saying the shoe was no longer in stock. Here's what probably happened, but the people at shoebuy.com will not even give me the courtesy of a response: I ordered the shoes at 25% off, someone else ordered them with no discount coupon, and shoebuy.com shipped the available pair to the full-paying customer."
