DO NOT SHOP SHARK SYSTEMS! After 20 years of online shopping and over $45 thousand dollars spent personally and $120k spent professionally I can say this has been the worst experience of my online shopping experience. Shark Systems could not describe the laptop up front so sent me to manufacturers web site, laptop took 4 days to ship and 9 more days to arrive, it arrived in a damaged box that poorly protected the product package and the product package was thus damaged,(laptop seemed fine) product did not match manufacturers web site, or photos on Shark Systems. Jake at Shark Systems refused to allow me to return it saying any opened box is not returnable. Then shark systems stopped returning my emails or calls for over a week. Then only after I had VISA put a payment hold on the purchase Shark issued an RMA and would take it back with 15% restock fee, now I am out over $250 and three weeks of time. Jake is the owner, sales rep, and shipping clerk. There is a phone service and another person in the loop that I was in touch with only once. Shark Systems is a reseller just as this rating site points out. I used the ratings on ResellerRatings because unlike most other sites they have protections in place to keep fake posts from pumping up a site. Many of the other sites I was not so confident that everything was valid. To ship the wrong product and then charge a restocking fee is not allowed via the Visa contracts and the shark systems terms and conditions. I am still trying to get all of my funds back. When I shipped the laptop back UPS informed me that the address was not a business but a residence. I asked them to double check and they continued to affirm this. STAY AWAY AND SHOP WITH A BETTER COMPANY!  
I have been contacted by a laywer representing SharkSystems concerning this post. SharkSystems still has not contacted me directly.

It's a good company , I receive the parcel in Italy after 15 days . The material received it was perfect like the order . I suggest the other person to buy from this company . Sharksys is one of a few company that I find that sell electronic equipment outside of U.S. from Internet online shop . Alex

I'd do business with this company again--everything worked so smoothly. I received updates on the shipping and when I'd recieve it...Just as good as FedEx delivery!

Very quick service and price matched manufacturer's lower price no problem. Shipped quickly, and product arrived safely and on-time. Very satisfied with the product and customer service of Shark Systems! Would shop there again.  
 
The only concern is that unfortunately they did not ship via Purolator as requested and instead used UPS, who left the box on the doorstep (this part is not the fault of Shark Systems).

Communication was a bit slow to say that the order had shipped and the website searches left something to be desired, but when all was said and done the bottom line was that I received my order in the mail quicker than from any other online retailer, it was well-packaged, exactly what I ordered, and it was an excellent price. I would shop at Shark Systems again.

I was not able to used online ordering due to probably a firewall setting or problems on the Shark Systems end, but the order desk was very helpful and were able to answer questions concerning the product and shipping.

ShopSharkSystems.com need to change the ordering process used on their website. It is confusing and as a consumer, there was a point where I was afraid my order could be shipped and billed 6 times!! That's when I met Jake!

He took my hand and guided me trought the process by email in a very professional manner. Everything went swimmingly from there, Jake took care of duplicated order, he also took care of the automated email not showing any tracking number where it should... Etc.  
 
SSS is a real place, with fast shipping and real nice people. When everything is working, it's fast and reliable. Just save this email address in case you need any help. I just hope he's not a friend of the guy who coded the website, because I would suggest giving that guy his termination notice, or at least a good slap behind the head!  
 
Overall very satisfied with good old email service, shipping fees and delivery times. Will definetely buy from them again.

Great Price on Very hard to find item.I did not want to order this camcorder from out of the US,but when S/S had it in stock and the cust. reviews were good,I ordered with no regrets.They answered my emails within 1 work day.Packaged very well.Very happy!

Need better indicator of item quantity. 1 day delay, not cool.  
 
Also haven't received refund to PayPal account yet.  
 
Update: Customer Service was very courteous and helpful. Only thing I'm waiting on is PayPal refunds, which is not the fault of Shark Sys.

the shipping was fast and online order with easy and smooth. no item description on the site you need to call or email for details but once you order everything goes perfect.

Overall a satisfactory experience. The following comments aren't intended to slam Shark, but reflect some relatively minor issues I ran into. Shark is in Canada, and I live in the US, so a couple of the issues relate to this.  
 
1. The original "estimate" for shipping prior to checkout was $17.62 (CPC Expedited US Commercial). The actual amount was $46.74 for the same shipping method. I think the estimating process needs some work.  
 
2. My only choice for shipping was CPC with an 8 to 15 day delivery. In order to use or FedEx, I had to provide my own account number, which I don't have. I would have liked a quicker option. My order took 14 days to get delivered (12 days after being shipped).  
 
3. The order indicated that customs fees and/or duties may be added, but Shark couldn't provide me with any idea of what those fees might be.  
 
4. The tracking number emailed to me when the order shipped was wrong. This only became apparent after the item for that number was delivered to Ohio (I live in California).

Excellant company to deal with. I couldn't find the soundcard I was looking for anywhere until I found Shark Systems. My shippment arrived fast, and was exactly what I wanted. I will definitely order from them again. :)

i was pleased with the way that sharksystems handled my order and communicated with me. thanks to chris and everyone else that was involved with my order. my only problem was with the shipping and how long it took to get my order. but it was not shark systems fault. thanks again to shark systems, and i wouldn't hesitate to order from shark systems again. paul bevels
