"It was a fairly simple process. I ordered it online, received a pick up notification within 10 minutes, went over to the store and picked up the 32-inch Samsung HDTV."

"Could not reach to check order, was told by answering machine that store was closed when it was open. No 800 number to check order at the local store I choose to pick-up. Was bounced back and forth between personal and put on hold. Shipping was late, not notified when redelivery was to be, and was almost charged for redelivery.
Could not track packages. Package was open box when delivered. Ordered and waited 2 weeks after the package was supposed to be in and not notified."

"Ordered a 21 in. Bow Saw online and chose in-store pickup. Next day, after having not received pickup confirmation email, I contacted customer service who confirmed item was ready. They apologized for delay and I requested resend of email which I received immediately. In the past, I never had any issue with online orders and confirmations were usually very quick. Just a minor issue in this case which customer service took care of."

"I was looking for an air conditioner for our bedroom and I had some idea of what make and size that I wanted. The Salesperson was very courteous and knowledgable with information on size, diy installation friendly, efficiency, customer feed-back and what I was mostly concerned with... noise.
Since I was to do the install myself he recommended a two piece unit which you can tell by usually two screws (one on each side of the the unit) holding the enclosure and a/c engine together. Very important on a 74lb unit.
Also ... Panasonic has $20 rebate, unit will run me $230.29.

"I order from Sears about once or twice per month and although I like their store pickup option the online processing time takes too long.

For online orders, they provide a tracking number within 1 to 2 business days, but in most cases it would take an extra couple of days before it is picked up by the shipper.

If you have a store nearby I suggest an in-store pickup. Assuming your store is still open, within less than an hour you can an email that your item(s) is available for pickup. Disregard the 5-minute goal and the "on-time" scoreboard. Employees abuse both the clock and therefore the scoreboard. Most of my orders are picked up within 5 to 10 minutes though.

I did have a bad experience once, where I had to dispute a charge because the item was no longer available and no one at the store or the 800# was able to cancel. The 800# rep told me to dispute the charge and it will somehow get resolved (it did!). That was a couple of years ago.

These days, their chat customer service is superb.

Overall, the only thing I would change is their online shipping."

"My mother needed a new vaccum so being the good daughter i decided to buy her one (side note. long hair gets trapped in the belt and burns it up. this is why i decided to buy it. it was my fault the other one's belts break.) I spent an hour on the site reading through and cross-checking this one and that one and i found one (belt-less) i ordered on of black friday with a 2-year warrenty and shipping to the house (19$ and no hassle) it was at my mother's house in three days. i was thinking closer to three weeks. I was suprised. she is happy and i am happy. i can't ask for much more than that."

"I placed an order for toddler bedding and curtains from Sears and actually had it in my hands in 3 days. I was pretty floored, since the estimated delivery said almost 2 weeks from my order date. Everything was exactly what I ordered and in perfect condition.

Bottom line, on this order, Sears truly delivered."
