"After having the worst purchasing experience in my life with Digital Audio Wave - see my review, I was lucky enough to experience the best with DiscountLaptops and Sager Notebooks.
Having given up on AMD products after a miserable experience, I finally found a laptop with a good graphics card, 12-cell battery, small screen and powerful processor (PM770) - the Sager 4881. I was very wary of ordering from a place called DiscountLaptops and so called Sager to order direct. While on the phone with Sager I asked about Discount Laptops and the gentleman told me it was the exact same product and warranties (including a 30-day money back guarantee) but cheaper from them so I decided to order from there.
I had a bunch of questions all of which were answered by Discount Laptops and Sager promptly. The computer came within 2 weeks and I tested every aspect of it I could and about 3 weeks into my guarantee, the screen started to flicker. The cord to the back of the laptop was also too loose. They immediately sent a replacement cord which has since worked great.
Being close to the money back guarantee date though, I was worried if I returned it for repair and got it back and it still wasn't working (like I've had happen before), I would be out of my guarantee period. Having set everything on the laptop up already, and not having any dead pixels, I was hoping to keep the same computer so I called up Sager and DiscountLaptops and asked a favor. They're going to kill me for sharing this, but we worked out a way to give them enough time to fix it and time for me to check it out when it returned while avoiding returning the computer and ordering the exact same setup again :)!
When they got the computer, they returned it the next day. When I asked how they turned it around so fast - they said they just replaced the computer with a new one! Not only that, but when I got it back, they were kind enough to have moved the hard disk I had spent so much time setting up from the old computer to the new one which saved me hours!! This is the exact opposite of all the nightmares I've read about where hard disks are wiped out for no good reason.
The whole time the folks at DiscountLaptops kept an eye on my order, emailed me without prompting when they saw it was delayed by a couple of days initially (although it still came relatively fast), answered all of my questions, spent lots of time with me on the phone, and helped set up and track the repairs. The Sager folks were responsive, flexible and delivered a great product with thoughtful and fast service times.

"I ordered a Sager 5790 via XoticPC (I'd heard some goofy thinggs about Sager direct support, so decided to go with a third party for the order.. same Sager product, but with an umbrella.) The order moved fast (ordered, received product 4 work days later). Sager specifics -- since you don't see these in stores I was worried about build quality, key feel, screen look, etc and so forth. After browsing ll the forums and reviews, I felt confident enough to buy via Xotic.
The sager machine is very well built .. solid, like the top end thinkpads. Everything feels sturdy, and she runs pretty cool considering how high the specs are -- cooler than my older non-gaming rig!
All told, I will definately look into Sager in the future. (My machine is only a couple weeks old so it could develop problems in the future, but right now it seems perfect!)

"I got a slightly customized NP8130 directly from sager a few weeks ago and love it. SWTOR is runnin good.
- display is great - battery removable (can run direct power) - great design - fingerprint reader is cool and easy to use - great cooling system - Oh, probly the MOST IMPORTANT is that the fans/heatsink area is easy to access and clean!
Overall very satisfied, i would say the only negative is its very expensive to have a really good HD inside, had to skimp on that but not to big a deal. I don't anticipate any problems i have had alot of computers and seems like people don't know how to take care of them or fix simple problems."

"Excellent service, sales rep there kept me informed months ahead of time about the model I was interested in even though it wasn’t released at the time. Contacted me to let me know exactly when it would be released. They promptly answered emails and phone calls every time I contacted them. Ordering process was a breeze, worked with me as much as possible for a custom config when I did order.
Had to return the original laptop when I received it due to a screen problem, when I contacted the service dept, they answered directly, the sales tech even followed up with me to make sure everything was ok. Tech support did every thing possible to resolve the issue by phone and email, when unable to resolve it they then replaced the original unit by cross shipping a new unit. Prior to and during the shipment they followed up promptly with every email inquiry sent. All in all I had an extremely positive experience with Sager and will definitely order from them again. "
"I have a Clevo P170HM that I had purchased from another reseller, and I had damaged the bezel frame around my LCD on accident and need a replacement. Because Sager is the primary place resellers get their parts, I thought I would try and work with them and do a special order.
I called and spoke with a man named Daniel, who was very patient and helpful in getting my order information and shipping info. After paying, I noticed I was accidentally overcharged $15. It was a simple miscommunication in shipping cost, not Daniel's fault. He quickly corrected it after I called him the next day, and my order was quickly shipped out and my replacement bezel arrived a few days later.
Overall very good service, and Daniel was a great person to work with. Thanks Sager!"
