If you ever have any problems with your product, expect to wait over 4 weeks to get your computer back! Dell will have your computer back in 4 days max! What kind of business are they running here? They are so backed up on technical support that they don't even have anyone who answers the phone.
If you have extended warranty service, you have to ship it to a very incompetent third party known as Micromedics. Shipping alone takes about 2 weeks , 5 days to receive the box, 3 days in transit,3 days for the return. They are also a very small company that provide slow response.
The money you save from this store is NOT worth the hassle that you have to deal with for the life of your product. STAY AWAY!!"
"I tried to like Sager, but I can't support them or their products. After the first year, you start to realize how cheaply made their products are. They keep upgrading their laptops to newer and faster products leaving every one else in the dust. This is why everyone is complaining about the tech support. They just don't care. I even drove to LA to visit the warehouse, and they really don't give a rat's ass about the junk they have sold you. After the first year, parts started breaking, my laptop is hanging by one hinge, because I am just tired of sending the POS in. Sager will not take care of it even though its under warranty. My laptop screen got blotchy and will not calibrate properly with anything. This product is garbage, stay away."

"Good merchant transaction, however, very POOR PRODUCT. Have had two major malfunctions in less than two months, that have required sending the laptop back for service. Attempting to get money back now."
"Purchased their top of the line 8890 ($3,900) through PCTorque (a very good company to deal with). Nothing but problems, though with Sager Support. Replaced the RAM now three times and motherboard twice. Sager will not pay for shipping to their service center and I am out an additional $125 to UPS. Tech Support personnel cannot comunicate above 2nd grade English. Extremely poor communication skills. No apologies or offers to reimburse or "make goods"."
"They make it easy to order the product, but once you get it, you realize the horrendous quality of the product and incapable support team to help. Their policies are worse than any major manufacturer. I recommend steering clear of this company, and towards a larger manufacturer that stands behind its products, such as IBM or Alienware."
"First off, I purchased My Sager 4870 from pctorque.com. Very smooth transaction, no problems, great communication, I would definitely buy from them again. My problem started the first week I received my laptop. I used the TV Tuner Remote for the first time, worked great. I tried to use it again 2 weeks later but it didn't work. I changed the batteries, still didn't work. The only thing that worked on the remote was the on/off button which turns off the whole laptop! Second problem, pre-installed on my laptop is Nero CD burning software. It requires me to type in the Serial Number before I can use it. I tried looking for the CD software because usually the serial number or cd-key is located on it. But no CD, every CD software was included except the Nero CD. Third Problem, after about a month of using my laptop I noticed a dead pixel on the bottom right corner! Although small it's still a defect. I emailed Pctorque with my problems, they asked me to call Sager themselves to straighten things out. They gave me a long distance number, I didn't want to pay LD charges for something thats not my fault so I checked out the Sager website for other alternatives (ie. email, 1800#). Tried calling the 1-800 number, it can't be dialed from my area (I'm in Toronto, Canada). So I emailed them, its been over a week and still no reply. Its a shame, the laptop itself performs magnificently but these small blemishes I outlined are tainting its brilliance."
"By far and away the WORST experience with a company I have ever had in my life.
I ordered a computer from them Sept. 15th and expected it to come in a matter of a week or two. When it took more they responded very quickly and when it came down to matters of payment or billing I received communications from them almost immediately.
However, 2 days after receiving the laptop, I find that robson memory that I bought doesnt work and my fan sounds like it is grinding ice cubes constanly. So I send in a report to them asking what I should do. 4 days go by, no response. I send them another e-mail saying that it is a bit insulting to have quick e-mail responses go to non existant e-mail responses once money is recieved. I get an e-mail back and they ask what the problem is.
This whole process probably wouldnt have been so bad if it didnt take them a MINIMUM of 2 days to respond to any given e-mail. It took me about 2 weeks to convey my problem to them and finally have them ship me a mailing label. When I finally sent it out and they received it there was no conformation, nothing for a week. So I started asking if they received it. After 2 weeks they finally tell me that they have received it and will start looking at it. 2 more weeks go by with me begging for status updates without any responses, and finally I have had enough.
I sent them an e-mail saying that I was going to stop payment on my computer if they didnt tell me what was going on with my merchandise. It was mid october by this point and the product that I bought had gone down nearly 300 dollars in price since I had bought it. I told them that I had paid an extra 300 dollars at this point for 2 days of a functioning computer. They then send me a prompt e-mail back not to stop payment, so they will refund my money with store credit, and I can make a new purchase. (sounds fair right?)
Next day as I am looking at what I might buy I get another e-mail from them saying that now my case is scratched (it wasnt) and that it would cost near $200 to replace so if i wanted a new computer I would have to pay them 200 in other words. Then another e-mail comes saying that I would have to pay a new shipping fee (roughly $50) even though I had originally paid for 3day 2 way shipping. So now I would save no money even if I did get a new computer because of all the extra money that they wanted me to pay. I made one last plea to them to see if they would simply upgrade the processor inside of my existing computer instead of a new order.
I got back 1 e-mail in broken broken broken english about the price of processors. I explained my situation and asked again if it was possible. This was 3 weeks ago and I have not yet gotten a response back to any of the 10 e-mails I have sent them since then. I am working with my credit card company to withhold payment at this point.
Whatever you do, DO NOT use sager. They have the most abysmal customer service I have ever even heard of, and obviously their products don't work as they break after 2 days of having them. "
"I can't get to my invoice numbe right now, but I did purchase a 8790p with the DVD burner, RAID 0 config, and 256MB 9700 video card. I usually play First-Person-Shooters and strategy and Racing and Space simulators. This computer was to replace my outdated Dell 8200, and I was vervous after I confirmed my oreder with Sager as it was a new company to me. It did take a month before I got my computer, but I was in Iraq, so I blame that on my own company, the Army at the time. I was VERY pleased with the performance of the notebook and amazed by the clarity of the screen, I had people turning thier heads all over when I was playing C&C Gnereals or the Star Wars Trilogy on the 17" widescreen in the wharehouse we "lived" in. I was upset that my 10/100/1000 network card was dead right out of the box, but I waited until I got back to the US to have it fixed, which was a good decision. One of my hardrives failed after about a solid 6 months of good use. I had to ship it in to Sager. They replaced the hardrive, fixed the network card, and even installed the latest drivers that were out then so I didn't have to. The notebook was serviced and returned within 8 days. I was happy with that. Unfortunately, 2 months later, one of my DDR SDRAM sticks failed, so I had to mail the bad stick in. Again, Sager was quick about express mailing a replacement stick, which I got just 5 days after mailing the bad one in to them. For what you pay for there notebooks, I'd say you get some good performance and fair service. If you're looking for a laptop that is as good as Alienware, but a big fraction less, go for Sager, that is why I bought the 8790, it had a onboard RAID option, large videocard and desktop grade P4, which it kept cool with three fans and a huge copper heatsink with three copper heat pipes. The case was also surprisingly solid. My 8790 has survived 8 months in Iraq and is still under continuous use after a just a few hitches that were resolved quickly. I figured others are probably wondering if they should purchase thier next notebook, or desktop replacement, so I decided to post this review after reading a September issue of MaximumPC. You might find me online in UT2k4 or MW4 Mercanaries as IonEninge."
"I ordered the 8886 v it was deleverd with in 3 days as promised it has been the best laptop that ive bought so far you will not buy a better laptop for the buck"
