"Like everyone else here, I was scammed. Placed order and two weeks later nothing. Sent email requesting status and if the item had not shipped yet to cancel order. Three days later, a reply that they are checking into the matter. Two days after that a reply that they'll offer me 5% off if I still want the tool. Told them no, please cancel order, They reply that they'll check with the warehouse to make sure it has not shipped. A week later I get an email that the item just shipped ! RIP OFF VENDOR"

"After seeing all the bad reviews I was a little worried but after my first order with them was very pleased. Katy answered all my questions and gave me a shipping date. I got my order within 4 days after item shipped. "

"ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!! Since they don't even offer a customer service contact I was forced to send this message to their sales department. This has been shortened to due to fact that your only allowed 5000 characters.
Hello,
I want to start out by saying that this is NOT something that I enjoy doing. I would also like to point out that it is EXTREMELY rare event.
I am sorry to say that I am very disappointed. You certainly missed your "MISSION STATEMENT".
I regularly deal with vendors such as autobodytoolmart, Eastwood and TCP Global. This time I decided that I would try someone new and was greatly disappointed with the outcome. Although small, this was an important order to me. I am thankful that I wasn’t ordering anything substantial.
Two weeks ago I placed an order through one of your 12 subdivisions known as S&JDiscounttools.com. Since I cannot get a response from them, I must resort to contacting this email address.

Quite simply, the facts are:
1. After 2 weeks, I have still not received my order.
2. There are NO status updates available and it seems that my order is still has not even processed.
3. I feel that the shipping (and handling) was high for a part that fits in an envelope.
4. AND MOSTLY, the fact that I cannot get a response from customer service agent in regard to my order.

I would respectfully ask that my order be canceled and any monies would be credited back to my account.

"ABSOLUTELY AWFUL....DO NOT BUY FROM THIS VENDOR..>SCAM>SCAM>SCAM...

We had almost the identical experience as Vinny111 that posted to this forum back in February. In fact, we even ordered from them twice without realizing it because the orders originated from two different websites, and have had the exact same experience with both orders. They advertise the lowest price on items, but then do not have them. They try to get you to change to another item. Lots of downsides here, which include one they do not tell you anything until you email them inquiring where your item is because ship date is long past. Two, the email communications (all from Katy) are rude, abrupt and answer nothing about your inquiry. The email response take multiple days from inquiry to receive as well. Third, we are currently out over $400 dollars with no items received. We have asked for a prompt refund and now we are getting no responses at all and have not gotten our money back....BEWARE. We are reporting to the BBB today and calling the state attorney generals office to see what legal resources are available to get our money back and to shine the light on this SCAM. FYI, they NEVER provide a phone number only email, but they do have a Facebook page which references a phone number. However, not much good to you, because it is ALWAYS only a recording. You can leave a message and they will never return your call."

"Terrible merchant. They do not tell you that items are "backordered" form ordering from the site and they have no contact other than an email address which they are slow to respond. After almost two weeks they informed me that the item I really needed was not available now but would discount it if I wanted to wait. They did ship the accessories for the grinder I ordered but I had to purchase elsewhere to finish a job. Don't be misled with the low price, you get what you pay for. "

"Ordered a couple tools but received emails stating items were on back-order, yet their website did not state 'out of stock'.
They charged our credit card for both the items and shipping and never delivered. If you send too many emails, they become very unresponsive. No phone number for customer service, only email.
Cancelled the order as the product was never received or shipped. SJ Discount sales is requesting that we call Greatdeals.com (parent company apparently) to get a credit on our charge card.

This is the worst most unprofessional company I have every dealth with.

BEWARE!"

"I chose this company, because all the items I wanted to buy were listed as "in stock" on their website. This turned out to be untrue. One was backordered until 3 weeks and 3 others were deleted from my order without explanation. This made the shipping charge very high relative to the cost of the remaining items.

Customer service is email only, very frustrating. My card was charged the day I ordered, but the website says they charge when items are shipped.

If the items you want are all in stock, it would be a good place to buy, but there is no way to know. They show everything as being in stock."

"I ordered an A/C sealant filter on April 6th. I'm a shipping junky and love watching shipments move (figuring out where central shipping junctions are etc) so I kept checking the order status. The charge on my account went through and was listed by my bank as "pending", but the item was still listed as "on hold". I realized I had given my billing and shipping address backwards and that might be why. On the 7th I emailed them and on the 8th I had an email from Katy saying the info was corrected.

On the 14th the order was still "on hold" so I sent them another email asking what I could do to get it off hold. In the 15th I got another email from Katy.
"We are sorry, but this item has been discontinued. Please let us know if there is another item you may be interested in. If you are not interested in anything, let us know and we will void out this order. We will keep this open pending your response as we can discount a replacement if you are interested."

I asked if they had a similar item and what the price would be. They had no similar items and so we cancelled the order and I was refunded my money.

They are still listing two similar items on their website.
They didn't contact me about the order issue, I had to contact them.

No big deal really. Crap happens, people get busy. I got my money back. I'm glad I wasn't in a hurry for the filter. In fact I'm still looking for one. I just won't be doing business with SJ again given the other reviews and my own experience."
