"Not only did receive a Immediate call when there was a Security issue with my Chase card that was resolved within a mere 10 minutes after notification. James within the company was able to help make a great package deal even greater. Without it there would be no way I would have had such a positive experience "

"I have tried over the course of 2 weeks with Wal-mart to get my nikon d3100 order straight and nothing. Finally I ordered with Ryther Camera, and got a confirmation call from James. He was very nice, and spoke to me like he actually cared about me as a customer. James also informed me I missed the option to upgrade to free 3-day shipping and did that for me. Perfect service!"

"David from RytherCamera is fantastic at his job very knowledgable and up to date on all the gear, put together a fantastic package for me at a super price. During shipping the tripod was damage one E-mail to David and a new one was shipped out the same day... Great customer service and top of the line camera gear makes RytherCamera my go to place for all my Camera needs....Thanks David my 7D is awesome!"

"I was a little concerned after reading a few of the negative reviews on this site but there were many good reviews as well. Glad I decided to order from Ryther anyway. Ordered product, did order confirmation with David and experienced NO pressure to upgrade or change anything. Knew it was going to take a little longer to ship but not a non-issue for me. Very happy order came sooner than expected. Was missing one item from package. Spoke with David, said he would ship right out. Very pleased with Ryther. Will order from them in future and would recommend them to others. Thanks RytherCamera."

"I received a good deal from Ryther Camera for a Nikon D7000. They had an import version along with a USA version, and different pricing for each. They were upfront with me and explained why they supply different versions, so I was OK with it. When I tried my new Nikon, it had a dead pixel. This was a Nikon problem, not the camera shop. I took the camera back the next day and Alex A. helped me out right away with an exchange for a brand new camera body. I was in and out in minutes. The new body works fine, but this camera comes with the extended 3 year warranty, so I'm not really worried."

"I called to ask a few questions about the lens I was considering buying. I felt more comfortable talking to someone before just ordering this lens. James, my sales person was very helpful.

I was delighted in the price I found for this lens. I paid $90 less for it than the other web sites I look at were charging. This included the price of the HD UV filter for the lens. I would have had to purchase a filter separately to protect the lens from another vender. I was amazed at how quickly I received the lens since I opted for the free shipping. It was supposed to be, “7 – 9 Business Day Ground.” I ordered it on a Monday and received that Wednesday.

I will definitely use rythercamera.com again in the future.

"To all who may be thinking about doing business with RytherCamera.com,
I researched the prices for a JVC DLA X95 and a
Denon AVR-4520CI and found this online seller.
I've never done business with them before and I did have concerns since I would be spending over $11,000 on this first time purchase so let me give you a bit of advice.
I dealt with a very informed salesman named James who assured me that he would get me the best price for the home theater components I was shopping for and he did.
Nervous to give this company my credit card number for this large amount...you bet I was but James assured me I could walk into the company brick and mortar store in NJ anytime and meet the staff.
Not only did James get me the best price on both the items I wanted he sent them out FedEx at no extra charge.
Packages arrived on the date he assured me they would and complete with all the factory included accessories.
Do know this and James will explain you can purchase major items from RytherCamera with extended USA warranties or you can purchase them with overseas warranties. I purchased the extended USA warranties at a fair price and feel that if I have a problem then I'm covered for many years.
For what it's worth I found the service and prices to be exceptional and I will be a return customer!

"I'm a second time customer, first bought a Canon 60D w/kit lens short of 2 years ago, this time I got a Canon 7D (body only).
To be honest I was a little unhappy because the camera arrived in a generic Canon box (not the flashy retail one) but I got a really good discount so I can't complain, they have to make some money too:)
Must share that the customer service I received from the rep. Shawn was one one the best ever, very friendly, professional and really took the time to acommodate me and answer my questions. Hope next time I go shopping with them he handles my order."

"Be careful. I ordered a Canon 5D Mark III with unbeatable price. Just $2680. They send me an e-mail saying that something was wrong in the order. So I called them. Its representative told me that for that price they will send me a Canon 5D Mark III from Malaise or Hong Kong without warranty. And the Firewall will be in Chinese.

Of course, they offer me the US warranty model for $3299.

Basically they do not do anything wrong, but they catch your attention with the price and then, they try to sell you something else.

I did not buy from them."

Like any business, there will be times when something goes wrong. It is how a business handles these setbacks that separates them from being successful or being a failure.

I got a call from Kevin, he stated he is one of the owners, and felt that he truly cared about great customer service.

He apologized for the shipping issues, late shipment, and we both came to an understanding.

I feel confident to shop with them again. Knowing that if there is an issue (which I hope there wont be) - but if there is, that they will make sure they do everything they can to make up for it.

It was a shipping issue, which any growing business will have from time to time.

Thank you for making it up to me. I appreciate the product I bought. I appreciate that you took your time to call me and made sure I was completely satisfied even though there was an issue.

I'm very dissatisfied with my overall shopping experience with this company.

I've never heard of RytherCamera before but I saw a good deal on one of their cameras on their site. I checked out the reviews,on this site, and overall they were good. So I thought...

I ordered my product, Cannon T4i (body only), and I get a phone call from one of their sales rep Morris to confirm my order. I verified with Morris that I opted for faster delivery with Fedex and he acknowledged that I did.

The email I got stated that I'll be given a tracking number to track my package. Days later, and no email, I call their Customer Service line to kindly ask for a tracking number. I spoke with Shawn and he stated that I would receive the tracking number that Sunday and the package will ship next week. (That would have been two weeks!) - I might as well have opted for FREE DELIVERY.

Frustrated I told Shawn to refund me the Fedex amount I paid for and he kindly stated that wouldnt be an issue (I was wrong..it was an issue).

I did opt for faster delivery for a reason. Being that they are in NJ, I asked if I could go to their store and pick up my package. He stated to call him back in about an hour and he'll let me know if I can or not.

When I did he said yes I could pick it up but there was a mistake and I wasnt charged the state tax (which on the invoice they sent me via email I was) and that they'll just use what I paid for Fedex and place it into the sales tax that I was accidentally not charged. How convenient that the Fedex amount was the same as the sales tax.

I travel an hour to their store. They told me to be there at 5 to pickup the camera and I wait another hour before I get my camera. I travel another hour back all because of their mistakes and not one bit did they try to make it up to me.

I'm just glad this is over with. Never dealing with them again."

"Cheats. Tried to order Canon xa10, which was listed for 1309 USD. Having placed the order, I was called by their representative, telling me that the camera was a Malaysian model with the menu in Japanese and the US model was actually 300 usd more. Then the representative tried to lure me into the higher price by offering me a cheaper charger, which I didn't need. I had to cancel the order. Nowhere on the site it states the specs about the listed camera, making the customer absolutely unaware of the type of camera he is actually placing the order for. Big disappointment, will never use their services again. Be careful!"

"I received excellent customer service from a Ryther camera customer service rep named James. I had missed a promotion for faster shipping when i checked out and was set up to receive the Canon lens I ordered in 7 to 10 business days. Instead, James called me, changed the shipping method at no additional charge. As a result, I am now excited to say I will receive the lens by the weekend, which corresponds with my son's fifth birthday.

I have never had this experience before, or used Ryther for that matter, an am pleased to say I will be ordering from Ryther in the future as a result of James' service. Thanks very much Ryther!!"

"Update: I received my camera - 7d body only usa retail. Victor and Kyle helped me with my order and were very helpful. I will be buying from them again. Thank you for your help with my purchase. I will update a few days after camera use and let you guys know of any problems!


I am writing this review because this is where I came to see reviews before I bought my Canon 7d usa retail from Ryther Camera - I just made the purchase and have not received my product yet - but wanted to put my rating up for other people who might be looking for info of this merchant. I talked to Victor and he helped me and was very helpful. I also called back and talked to Kyle and he was helpful also! Thanks to RytherCamera for their help. "Order was updated on Sunday, May 19, 2013. At that time salesman advised that order shipping would be updated to 7 days. As of today, May 25, the order has not been shipped. According to their website, the product ordered was in stock and should have been shipped within 48-72 hours. It is now approaching 144 hours! Two attempts leaving messages with customer service have resulted in no response. I have found the camera is available from other retailers for the same price.
OK, got the camera on 5/29. 10 days after ordering. Don't take sales pitch. Camera can be found all over for $1099 and extra battery is $7 to $10. I paid $1200... I know better, was napping at time of call and should have made him call back.
