"I ordered 3 Denon receivers from Ryther Camera. I worked with Stephen. For a competitively priced, quality, on-line electronics retailer, Ryther was outstanding, and Stephen was the face of the company for me.

Upon ordering, I was contacted and explained what I had ordered. We had to make some tweaks to the order, but that was easy. Ryther could have just shipped what I ordered and not bothered to tell me what I was getting, but they did not do that. They went the extra mile to inform me so that what I did receive was what I wanted.

When the shipment arrived, I received 2 of 3 products. I contacted Stephen, and he was quickly able to help me understand what the issue was. One receiver was out of stock and had been discontinued, so we worked quickly together to find a replacement. I was impressed with Stephen's knowledge of the products as he was quickly able to help me find an acceptable substitute.

Finally, while a substitute, the receiver I bought had a lower market value than the one I originally ordered. Stephen quickly refunded me that difference in market value.

My experience with Ryther and Stephen was exceptional. I know that online retailers sometimes get a bad wrap. Not the case for me this time. Stephen always quickly called me back and walked me through the order when changes were made to ensure I was satisfied, and I was extremely satisfied with this experience.

I'd highly recommend Ryther for great prices, high quality products delivered, and exceptional customer service. Very pleased customer."

"Ryther Camera advertised an impossibly low price on their website for the Canon 5d Mark iii. They advertised a price over $1,000 less than Best Buy or B&H. It doesn't take a genius to know that this company is not able to sell the same piece of equipment at that kind of discount, or they would go out of business. Therefore, it has to be a bait and switch price or the price for some imported or grey maket item. However, to be fair to them, I called and stated that I was in market for the real Canon 5d Mark iii, and Steven, the salesman, knew exactly the real USA model I was looking for. It was of course, priced close to the price of anywhere else, but I am promised the same camera I would get at Best Buy and for several hundred less. Steven knew what I wanted, was helpful, seems honest and was warm and proffessional. I ordered today, and I am promised the desired item in 2 days. I'll let you know how it turns out."

"**A one star review - changed to a five**

I purchased the USA Canon 6D from Ryther Camera on May 9th. I needed a new camera for a wedding that I have to photograph this Saturday (May 18th). I called called customer service before I placed my order. I told him that I loved their price, but I was still on the fence on buying it... Last time I ordered a camera from them, it took a really long time to get to my house. He immediately offered to upgrade my shipping to FedEx. And I quote "The Canon 6D will be delivered to you between the 15th - 17th of next week. How does that sound?" Well of course, I bought it.

Here we are now on next Wednesday the 15th. I called Ryther Camera to get an update on my shipping. Would it be delivered today? Customer Service explains to me that my package will be delivered between the 17th - 20th! I have a wedding on the 18th that I need this camera for! I bought it from you because I was promised to have it no later than the 17th... Now the 17th is the earliest it will be delivered. Deliveries never come on the first day it's promised!

I am not pleased.

At the moment nothing has been resolved. I am waiting for the Shipping Department to return my call. I will change my review if it is fixed.

Update:

I talked to Kevin (x101) on the phone and he apologized for the inconvenience. He explained that my package had been shipped incorrectly. He resent the Canon 6D and included an extra battery free of charge for me which was very nice. I was told once again that my package will be here by Friday. This time I was given a FedEx Tracking number. The website has not activated the tracking number yet.

So now I wait to see if I receive it before the wedding on Saturday. At the moment, I am impressed with the response that I received... I was not expecting it.

I will continue to update this review as it unfolds.

I am about to leave town for the wedding and to my amazement, I have the Canon 6D in hand. Everything looks to be in order on the camera and the battery that they gave to me for free is actually a decent battery.

Ryther Camera, you have won me over. I will be back and gladly purchase from you again. Thank you for caring so much for your customers."

"I had a great experience with Ryther Camera. After ordering online, I was contacted to ensure that all of the details of my order were correct. During my conversation with David, we discovered a problem with the automatic order and he fixed everything! He made sure that I had the item quickly. The service was terrific and the whole process was smooth and pleasant. I wholeheartedly recommend Ryther Camera to everyone. "

"This is the second time that I have ordered equipment from RytherCamera, and once again I am extremely satisfied with their service. Their prices can't be matched and their shipping times are very quick. My order was shipped on the same day as it was purchased.

I had the pleasure of working with James from Ryther both times I ordered. Professional and friendly and not less than 15 minutes after had I ordered my gear online, he called me to double check everything and inform me of some special deals and promotions that I had overlooked!

All in all a fantastic company to deal with and I could not recommend them more. I'm a bit baffled as to why they are not as well know as B&H or Adorama, because they certainly deserve to be."

"Ordered a Canon 6D and they threw in an 8GB SD card. Camera works great but the SD card quit. I called and they sent me a replacement with no questions asked. Shipping was 3 - 5 days since I live in KS. I am extremely happy with their pricing and their support. Shawn from Customer Service was very helpful and wanted the transaction to be smooth. I will buy again from Ryther Camera."

" Hello, I am Boris Racine, & I am here to talk about the extravagant assistance received from Steven Warren. At first I thought I should call back & talk to someone else, because he was uncertain about minor details. Before we got off the phone he told me, he was going to do his research & call me back & boy, he sure did. I was skeptical at first about buying the camera, but after he explained all the features that made this camera worth purchasing, how could I deny myself this treat? He was precise with the facts & very easy going.
Usually when you're dealing with a sales representative, they are rather irritating & pushy. Mr. Steven Warren gave me a extra night to think about my decision, which only made me want the camera sooner. He also insisted that getting the warranty would be a more strategic, & less costly decision. He was patient, respectful, & humorist, basically a well rounded individual. I'm looking forward to the next business transaction with Mr. Steven Warren, & I will be referring your company."

"RytherCamera was a great company to work with. I made a large purchase when I was ready to upgrade my photography kit and they made sure my investment was one I was completely happy with and also made sure that I got exactly what I wanted. They helped build me a custom package to tailor to fit all my needs. RytherCamera was also great with there customer service after my purchase that it gives you reassurance that you are getting quality equipment that they are confident in standing behind. You know if you purchase equipment through RytherCamera you will get quality gear and good customer service after your purchase. If you are looking to make an investment in photography equipment and want to make sure you get the best possible product go wit Ryther and get what you oder every time! "

"Ryther Camera offers amazing prices, but you need to do your homework so that you know the difference between 'USA Warranty' and 'Gray Market' (WITHOUT a warranty).

I have dealt with them twice, and although the prices attracted me, in both instances, I found that when shipped, the order was incomplete. To be fair, both time I called, and both times the salesperson promptly shipped out the items.

My major complaint - and mistake - was when I paid for their extended warranty. They do NOT tell you that the warranty is then held by one of two other companies, one of which is a snakepit.

My advice? Buy the USA warranty, because even though the price is higher than the gray market stuff, it is still MUCH lower than competitor prices.....just don't buy the extended warranty.

In the final analysis, expect mistakes, prompt corrections of those mistakes, and many, many, many promises that they "...will take care of you!"
