Charged my credit card $200 for a service they never performed!!

"BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! They charged me for a service they did not provide! I ordered online 20 days before my cruise and paid for the 10-12 day service. I was told by the passport agency that I needed to wait until less then 14 days for my appointment. I called Rush My Passport 12 days before my cruise for their paperwork and was told I needed to pay more money. I immediately told them that I wanted to cancel their services and faxed a cancellation request. I was informed by their company that I only had 3 days to cancel my order and they would not be refunding my money. They REFUSED to refund my money even after filing a BBB. Btw- the passport office will send your passport to you within 6 days with NO additional charge!!"

Buyer Beware!!!!

"As most people with extremely limited time to obtain a passport, I contacted RushMyPassport.Com based on their length of time in business and presumed experience in the field. I submitted all the documents listed in the checklist they provide in order to process the application to renew a passport. I paid them a total sum of $493.00 to engage their services and renew my mother's passport, as she had to travel on an emergency basis to keep a relative on his deathbed company.

Clearly, I would not have tendered this rather large sum so trustingly unless I had been repeatedly assured by their Customer Service Reps that, upon timely submission of all the items on the checklist that they provided, I would be able to have my mother's passport no later than Saturday as my mother is traveling on Sunday. All the required documents were submitted timely trusting that, based on their length of time in business and the fact that renewing a passport is such an ordinary task, particularly for them given the experience that they represent to have, there would be no delays.

Today, Friday, the last business day before travel, I was sent an email, very late in the day, advising me that the State Dept. would require additional documents before processing the application, not provided for on their checklist and further stating that I would not be able to obtain my mother's passport on or before the day of travel. As a result, she has had to cancel her trip, miss her last chance to see a very close relative on his deathbed, lose the money that she spent on her airfare, and, according to Mr. Altman who represented himself as the owner/supervisor lose the $493.00 paid to them in order to provide a service which the company's CSRs eagerly assured me that they could. Mr. Altman further stated that I am not entitled to any refunds, as he has 'the last word on the matter'. Mr. Altman repeatedly emphasized that the business relationship into which I entered with Expedited Travel, can be best described as, and I am paraphrasing, 'buyer beware' and that I should have known better than to expect what the company's CSRs promised over the phone from the outset.

These truly are the worst sort of people, not because of the unforeseen delays that dealing with any bureaucracy entails but because of the either ignorant or malicious misrepresentation on the part of their CSRs as to what could be accomplished, and mostly because of Mr. Altman's, who should actually know better, lack of empathy, customer service skills, and even common decency when dealing with a client in such difficult circumstances.

Excellent Service. Can't ask for more

"Needed a business visa for China. Selected the regular expedited service and overnighted all the paperwork with my passport. Unfortunately I made a mistake and forgot to sign a critical form. Not only was I updated almost instantly, I was explained exactly what was missing. On top of that I another issue came up on my side that I need to leave for Europe within 48 hrs and had no passport. I contacted Rushmypassport and instantly where given several options on how to expedite the service. They actually got it done within 24 hrs and my passport just arrived. I usually do not take the time to write reviews but not only that RMP performed extraordinarily but I now will not losse any business by not being able to go to Europe or China. Great company I can only highly recommend. "

no thanks

"I got no contact from my case manager other then the initial call to verify and send documents. I had to call multiple times to check the status of my order. I asked for expedited service and didn't receive it. nor did i get a refund when asked. I got attitude.thank you for finally delivering my passport. its just a week+ late and you took no effort due to weather problems to actually expedite my passport."

Calm and straightforward, indeed

"Mark Fraser is an ace. There was a potential issue with my VISA, and when he said, "We'll get through this," I believed we would. And we did. He's a great person to work with, with a good sense of humor and understanding of human tendencies.

We used the same outfit for our passports and that went very well too. They do exactly what they say they will, and keep you posted as each step ticks by. It's more expensive than DIY but to me it was worth it. And they don't make you feel like an idiot for calling umpteen times with with additional questions, which you will. I highly recommend Mark Fraser and the entire team.

Don't Count on this Company

"RushMyPassport does not seem to need return business so the goal seems to be convince the customer to purchase a service that may or may not be delivered at the maximum price, including convincing the customer that paying extra is necessary to assure faster service. The payments include the basic charge, additional charge for faster service, charges for delivery to and from, fee for state department, fee for post office, photos. All communication is very positive UNTIL you have paid the first fee and are hooked. Then the additional fees and the disclaimers start....including that there could be terrorists that slow down the State Department, etc. The end of the story is that my passport did not arrive for a week. I could not take the trip and it cannot be rebooked or be refunded. I had to be my own representative to FEDEX to find my passport. Management was not receptive to suggestions to avoid the problem with future clients and offered no refund for any of the additional expenses or 24 hour service/delivery. The information about my passport tracking that was provided by ME was read back to me as if the company had collected it. Demeaning of the government agencies and FEDEX does not relieve this company of its responsibilities to deliver what it was contracted to deliver. Everyone and the weather was to blame according to RushMyPassport but the truth is far from those excuses. The passport arrived 2 days after I was to depart rather than the 4 days prior to departure. Throughout the experience, I was the one informing RushMyPassport of where it was rather then anyone at the company being proactive in finding it. I received it yesterday but my birth certificate is still missing. In retrospect, it would have been safer for me to have accomplished the process myself. I hope others can learn from my experience. I recommend you read YELP for a balance of reviews."

He responded within minutes and gave calm straightforward advice. "rushmypassport.com will Lie and Cheat you out of your money $250 rush fee and processing fee, and not provide ur passport or any services on the designated day all has agreed. Nobody will call you or text you, no one... an addition they ask you to put a money order or pay with a card in there for the amount of $270 for the actual passport agency - embassy fee. and for any meter you wont use there service. they will hold full amount of rush fee and also commingle - convert embassy fees to there account also!!!! so you wont get nothing!!!

"Found out in the last week that my daughter's passport was expired. We were traveling within 10 days. It was right around the holidays adding to the agony and potential pitfalls of getting one urgently. Plus being a minor meant we both may have had to go to DC for the passport.

Luckily we found rushmypassport.com. Sure, they are expensive and if you have the time you could do the same thing if you went to a passport office (not your local post office). But if you don't have the time and can't be present for all the steps, it is well worth the money.

After paying their fee, they give you a checklist to complete to make sure you have all the documentation you need. Then you call them for additional documents such as a limited power of attorney and for your mailing instructions. When you call they also provide you with hints to make sure your passport is processed quickly. They also walk you through the hand carry process.

You mail it to them. You get calls and emails along the way tracking the passport. They mail it back and voila it's done.

They staff was not touchy feely but professional. There was appropriate communication and they lived up to their promises. BTW if you want a passport card that is separate and does come later (3wks).

I had a good experience. I was sorry to pay the money, but happy it was done right and in a timely manner. We mailed the passport application out Thursday and had the passport in hand Tuesday.
