"I was searching for a DSLR camera just to step up from a regular point and shoot camera and came across one that I liked at Best Buy. The camera was the Cannon T1i and the price was 899.99 which was a little pricy for me at the time and figured that I should look around for a cheaper price. This is when I came across Rogers Camera. On there site I found the same product in a package with several other items (Tri-pod, 2g memory card, camera bag, and a cleaning kit) which came to a total of 629.99. So of course I decided to jump on the offer. I placed the order over the holiday weekend and figured nothing would happen till the following week. The following week i got a message from Rogers Camera telling me that the wanted to verify the order and gave me a telephone number and and extension number. When I called the man on the other end immediately put me on hold. When the man answered I told him I was calling to verify an order and gave him my information. He then asked for my 3 digit code on the back of my credit card and I gave it to him. He then asked what type of battery that I wanted with the camera and gave me two choices the 2 hour or the 5 hour. So i asked the prices on the two batteries, this is where the conversation got uncomfortable. He started to get very short with me and reluctantly gave the prices $180 for the 2hr and $280 for the 5hr. A flag was immediately raised and I figured something fishy was going on because there is no way a battery for camera would cost this much. So i got online while talking to him and found the replacement battery and charger for about $40. I then told him to ship the camera without the battery, but he kept trying to push the battery on me. Finally he said that if I want it without the battery it will take 6-8 weeks for delivery. When I asked why, he said because in that configuration it would be shipped from over seas. This is when I decided to cancel the order. I would advise not doing business with them and it would be interesting to here from someone who has received an item from them."
"Total bait and switch! It is not clear that the great deal on a camera is only, as the 'customer service' rep who called me termed it, "the camera body". This meant, no battery, no charger, etc. Those would be extra in the package deal - which I found I could get much better prices on elsewhere with more reputable dealers!"

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!! They advertised a Nikon 18-200mm VRII ED-IF lens for $399.00. Half of Best Buy's $799. (False Advertising) Same story as everyone else. Got a call asking for the 3-digit code on back because I "forgot" to enter it on the website. There was no place for it on the website. Then they tried to convince me that this was not a "digital" lens and would not autofocus with the D60. Tried to sell me on a Sigma for $100 more. None of this made sense, so I made a few calls and found out that they were not exactly "reputable". Longer story short, I cancelled the order."
"I placed an order on line for 1300 Canon. I got an email saying for seurity reason I had to call them and confirm ny order. when I called the agent was rude and I was not happy with his replyabout specs of my order.when I asked to cancell my order i was transfered to another agent who refused to do and hanged up!! I had to call them again several time and eventually got them to cancel my order!"
"I ordered Canon 70-200mm Zoom Lens and they called to verify credit card and tried to sell me a different lens. When I would not purchase the new lens the sales rep hung up on me and would not return my phone calls. I immediately cancelled my credit card."
"I searched high and low for the best price for a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens. I finally found RogersCamera.com to have a very good price. Not the cheapest, but it was a low price. I decided to purchase the glass plus the macro kit as well. Totalling just under 1500. I get a call on Memorial Day holiday from a salesman. He tries to sell me something else that I didn't want, but I had declined his offer. The salesman tells me that he is going to submit the order and I should get an email from the warehouse when the order will be shipped. He said they lens were in stock and all he had to do was to notify the warehouse to ship the package. I get an email today from RogersCamera.com saying they had oversold the item and it was on back order for 6 to 8 weeks so they decided to cancel the order. Now I ask you... if the salesmen tells you the item is in stock and then you get an email from them two days later saying they oversold the item... you tell me what this smells like. After he tried to sale me more items that I did not want, I could tell he was not happy, but I held my breathe in hopes that the glass with the macro kit would be shipped anyway... well, it was another attempt for a "switch & bate" caper.
You can bet your bottom dollar I will never shop at Rogerscamera.com again. Oh, BTW, while the salesmen had me on the phone, he wanted to sell me a 70-320 glass... I have never heard of a 70-320 glass from Canon. I had a feeling that something fishy was going on. I'll check my credit card on line to make sure these jokers don't pull a fast one. Trust NO ONE!"
"These people are a complete scam!! After ordering a Canon XSi kit with lens, I get a phone call to verify the order and am informed the item I purchased is actually an inferior overseas version (plastic) but I would be much happier with the USA version for only $336 more. Not to mention that they are about 15% higher for the same package at most other e-tailers."
"I read their web site, ordered a photographic product. Their price is quite low. After confirmation of my order, 2-3 days later, they canceled my order, and told me that the item is out of stock. I suspect this company use low price to attract people to get their credit card details for some uncovered purposes. Beware!"
"I purchased a Canon SX200 camera from Best Buy, but then I found it on Rogers Camera at a cheaper price so I called them up and I got the camera in three days. I would definately buy from them again in the future. Very nice website, customer service and agent."
