"Very sleazy dealer. My Dad was buying me a camera for christmas and the person he talked to essentially conned him into spending an extra $400 on crappy accessories that would otherwise cost less than half of that price. When these items arrived arrived half of them did not work or were broken. Additionally they would not offer a refund for them since the were "part of a package." They did offer to replace them (after I spend nearly AN HOUR ON HOLD waiting to talk to someone), but I'm skeptical as to whether the replacement parts will be any better seeing as they are all cheap no name brands. In addition to all of this the camera manual in the D90 box was for a completely different camera (a Nikon S60 point and shoot model). I have no idea how they managed to screw that up. Bottom line: avoid FotoConnection and go with a reputable dealer!"

"I orederd the camera off of a search engine site, when I called I spoke with Chad and ordered the camera I "Thought" I wanted when Chad asked me a few questions to qualify how and what I would be using the camera for, I learned that another camera was really what I was looking for. The camera he suggested was a little more in cost but he included a few extra options to make up for the incresed expense. I appreciate Chad taking the time to ask the questions so that I might get the camera that would suit my needs better. I recieved the camera in the time I was promised. I would reccommend the Fotoconnection to others and will continue to do business with them in the future.

Sincerely,

Jon"

"The agent was attentive and knowlegable.
The camera I wanted was in stock and it was delivered on time.
The price which was a consideration was the lowest.
Service-Price-on time delivery what could be better."

"If anyone says that they are satisfied with the treatment they have received in dealing with these crooks is either lying or is a cousin on the payroll. These people are the biggest crooks I've ever dealt with and I've been buying things on the internet for several years. I ordered something on 11/14/07 and what they sent to me was not what I ordered and when I called to discuss it with them all I got was a bunch of rude damnyankees who gave me one excuse after another. Even though the invoice states very clearly that the customer can return items if the item does not "meet their need", I was told that electronic items are unreturnable. As far as I can tell, all they sell are "electronic items". These people are guilty of malfeasance and how they continue to stay in business I do not know."

"Spoke with these jerks on the 6th to confirm the US model of the Canon XTi and the availability of the item. Placed my order and did the obligatory call back for their strong arm tactics. Was assured order was in stock and ready to ship. Now September 11 I called to find out where you tracking number is (Web Site is down) and the Bonehead said it is not in stock and that it is a Asian version etc. When I questioned this due to prior phone calls he get belligerent and foul. Calling me an A$$hole etc. I have called my credit card company to cancel order and re-issue my card as these guys are a class 1 scam act.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS"

"I ordered a Samsung Sport Cam from them and it was suppose to be 7-10 business days Ground shipping. I waited for 3 weeks then call them back to see why it's taking so long to find out that they haven't even ship it out yet. They apologized and said that it will be shipped out the next day and that I would get a tracking number. I called the next day to find out that there's no tracking number. I wanted to cancel and they just cancel it like they didn't need my business. Ohh well I guess they must be making enough from these kind of ratings to not need my $500. "

"This guys are scam artists! They sold me a $1,000 Samsung Home Theater and claimed it was new when in fact it was refurbished. Refurbished by an un-authorized dealer making the warranty void. I encountered problems and was left holding the bag! I have the original receipt to prove that it was sold to me under the pretext of being new.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!!"

"TOTAL SCAM! Ritebuys.com had a great price on a Canon XTi. Their lens price was not good, so I ordered the lens I wanted from a different website. When I returned home from work I received an e-mail asking for a confirmation phone call. I knew I was int trouble at that point. "It doesn't come with a battery." How much? $150. No, I'll buy one elswhere. "Do you want firmware". I was incredulous. "Do you just want to buy a non-working camera body?" He offered a package for $250 more. I stated I could get one with a lens at Costco for that price. His comment was that I'd have to pay sales tax. I canceled the order and will call my credit card company next to verify that they have not charged anything against my card."

"STAY AWAY! Fishy from the start, this company's handling of my order got worse and worse. Like so many others, I wish I'd read these reviews before I made the mistake of ordering from Ritebuys.com. The fast-talking salesman tried to offer me all kinds of extra warranties and shipping options, which he claimed that "the company is not making any money on, we just want to make you a happy customer," but then proceeded to offer me better and better deals until I finally refused. I was put on hold at least 15 times in ten minutes, he asked for my credit card info three times, and kept getting my order specs wrong. I was sent a sketchy "credit card confirmation" email that I absolutely HAD to reply to, but when I said I was uncomfortable doing so, he said it was a mistake and I didn't need to reply. I was promised an order confirmation and tracking number within the next 48 hours.
When four days passed and I had neither (but my credit card had been charged) I called back. The same guy told me it was due to the showstorm, which was about like "the dog ate my homework." I was promised the confirmation and tracking number in the next 48 hours, again.
Two more days passed, still neither one, and I called to demand cancellation. He refused, wheeling-and-dealing and telling me that I'd have it the next day. I insisted he cancel it, but he said it was already on the truck. I asked for a tracking number and he said he sent it already. I hadn't gotten it, and he said "oh, we're sorry, we've been emailing you about your order to the wrong email address! We used xxxxx.net instead of xxxxx.com! Sorry, just a simple mistake!" I caught him in that lie, saying that my email works at either domain, but he just kept on rolling and lying some more." He did send me a tracking number, telling me that it wouldn't be active for another 12 hours, even though the order was on the truck already (yeah, right!). That tracking number was completely phoney, and even when the package did arrive the next day (having been overnighted at HUGE expense to the liars because I'd caught them trying to trick me) it came under a completely different tracking number than the one they tried to stall with.
Thank goodness I have an excellent credit card company, and Ritebuys will have to deal with them now that I've filed my fraud claim. But what an ordeal. Please spread the word - DON'T GET ANYWHERE NEAR THESE GUYS. THEY BELONG IN JAIL."
