"Same problems as most - couldn't renew my domain, then it expired, and now it's just a mess They keep telling me "24 hours" and it will be renewed and back up... Well, it's been well over a month now. They charged my credit card right away, but they don't seem as eager to get the renewal put through. Absoltely a HORRID company."

"Registerfly is bad hosting service and bad domain service and bad company.

my last message to registerfly:

How kind of help service is this? Many time i have been sent e-mail to you. You dishonorables did not give any answer. But my web addresses are still not open. For 15 days i am waiting to see them active. There is no difference. I had many problems with my customers because of you. So i am going to tell and complain about you everywhere i can reach on the internet.

REGISTERFLY IS BAD SERVICE.............

Türkler,
Registerfly isimli firmadan kesinlikle hosting veya domain hizmeti almayýn. Paranýzý ödeseniz bile servis alma þansýnýz yok. Ne maillere ne de yardým servisine 15 gündür cevap alamýyorum. Sadece para ödemiþ olursunuz kesinlikle teknik destek alma þansýnýz yok.

"registerfly.com hosting is atrocious. First they put me on a server with no PTR record so I could not send e-mail to about half the mailservers on the Internet because there was no reverse DNS for my mailserver. After complaining for two weeks, they moved me to a new server and lost all my content in the process.

The new server had 3 outages in 2 weeks. One of the outages lasted almost a week and they kept telling me that they were working on the problem. Finally I asked to be moved to another server which they did, but all my content was lost again and I had to start over.

The 3rd server they put me on ran fine for almost a week and then it started having outages again. Outages which would last anywhere from 2 to 24 hours before they would restart the plesk software and it would run again for a few hours and then crash.

I finally gave up and asked for a refund for hosting on my 2 domains. Well they cancelled my accounts including the site builder that I paid for but never refunded my money, more than $150.00. So I have since started migrating my domains to godaddy.com. However, I have one of my domains that I have had for over 6 years and it is in CLIENT TRANSFER PROHIBITED status so I cannot transfer it. I have opened 4 tickets on the same issue. Three of the 4 tickets have been closed with no resolution and my domain is still stuck with registerfly.com.

Their entire DNS server was down for 3 days. I opened a ticket to ask for a explanation of the outage. They removed the ticket from the support page and refused to tell me what happened.

Buyer beware! Don't host your domains with these guys they are idiots!"

"Every time I went online to renew the domain, the website would not let me check out. The domain expired, and eventually the website worked well enough that I was able to renew it at a higher rate.

Now they are showing that they never received payment even though I have a receipt and I have a charge on my credit card.

This company no longer has anyone answering the phones and are likely going out of business very soon."

"I started my own small consulting business, but apparently I chose the wrong company to host my website.

The website stated "$6.95" a month webhost for a certain package, which I thought to be a pretty decent price. I was to be charged quarterly in the amount of $20.85. I assumed quarterly meant every three months, or 4 quarters out of a year. Apparently, they thought it means every month.

Well, now that I have been charged $83.40 and had to cancel one charge they tried to put through, I am trying to recover $42 dollars. The worst part is the response I got from the "senior manager" at their offices (My trouble ticket comes first):

***I am being overcharged for my hosting since April. Please refund all of the over charged amounts to my credit card and cancel the hosting as well. ***

Their response:

***Would you please provide me with the domain name and the login info of your hosting control panel so we can verify and discontinue the services.

Thank you

Notice he is more concerned with "discontinuing" the service than getting me my refund.

Worst of all, my website was down most of the time and at one point they even accused me of not paying! I had to show them my invoice and prove to them that I was on a certain package for them to bring my website up!!!

I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND REGISTERFLY.COM. HORRIBLE!

Your Prior Responses

[2005-07-18] I am being overcharged for my hosting since April. Please refund all of the over charged amounts to my credit card and cancel the hosting as well.

[2005-07-20] I want to make sure I get refunded the overcharge payment, I think discontinuing service should come secondary.

The domain name is ************. My login info is *****. The person that forwarded this information should have also forwarded this along.

Here is the payment history for my account, which should have been charged QUARTERLY in the amount of $20.85.

1/29/2005 - $20.85 (This covers Feb, March and April @ $6.95 per month)
3/1/2005 - $20.85 (This covers May, June and July @ $6.95 per month)
3/25/2005 - $20.85 (THIS IS AN OVERCHARGE)
7/17/2005 - $20.85 (THIS IS AN OVERCHARGE)

I am owed $41.70. Please refund that amount and discontinue services on the 29th, which I am paid up to.

Lastly, most of the time the website was down anyway due to my supposed "non-payment".

Thanks for looking into this promptly.

[2005-07-25] What is the status on this? I'd appreciate a prompt response, thank you!

[2005-08-09] How is it humanly possible that this issue is still not resolved? Do I seriously need to have my lawyer deal with, just so I can get my $41 dollars back? What kind of customer service is this, where you overcharge people and then it takes 3 weeks and STILL nothing!!!

Please get some people in your company that can do common math. Seriously... If I not resolved by this Friday I will also "elevate" this issue and just let my lawyer deal with it, I have him on retainer anyway, for MUCH bigger issues than this crap. Im also going to start looking through online forums, I hope to find other customers with similar issues so that I can see what can be done about this. Give me MY money back.

-A very pissed off customer

"I have purchased many domain names and services
from Registerfly. They are the abosolute worst.
Right now one of my domain expired because their renewal system is down. I basically have lost control of my domain. I cannot renew it, I cannot transfer it and they have their place holder page with their affiliate programs showing when you type my domain. So they make money from it. Customer service has hung up on me twice. after I was on hold for one hour. It has been 4 days. For a good time try Registerfly.com ."

"They are the absolute WORST Hosting service I have ever seen. You call the TOLL tech support line and are put on hold for 45 minutes then they just hang up!!!"

"I tried to renew a website five times(!), all five attempts failed. Why? I don't know, their systems never told me and their support had no idea.

I was charged all 5 times, only good thing I can say about registerfly is that they did refund my money on request.

Trying to get ahold of support takes hours (literally). I tried holding on the phone for 2 hours before I gave up, then switched over to live support for another 3 before I was able to talk to someone.

Their suggestion was to "keep trying".

Luckly, I was able to tranfer my domain name away from Registerfly in time to renew it.

I highly recommend you avoid using them. Purchasing a domain name works just fine on their systems, renewals do not. The support problems at Registerfly have existed for a *long* time, plenty of time for them to correct it. But they refuse to!

Stay away!"

"I've been with these guys for two years. This is has been the worst experience having a website hosted through you.

My current domain and email service has been down for almost a full week. This cannot be a sucessful business if you cannot guarentee a 90% uptime.

I am looking into getting a new hoster for my domains, the downtime has been an issue for over a 3 month period. This is pathetic and i will not recommend business to anyone."

"I've been using registerfly for 5 years now. At one point, I was managing 350 domains in a client's registerfly account. I've experienced just about every kind of problem with them: lost domains, many double billings, error plagued web pages, you name it.

The very worst thing about them is surely their tech support. They make you want to tear your hair out! And don't believe the 24/7 phone support. It's a true miracle if you ever get through.

Read all about it at registerflies.com. Stay away from Registerfly!!"
