"VERY POOR SERVICE. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

(I have since moved to mydomain.com and have been quite happy & they are cheap)

The registerfly services are really provided by multiple loosely connected organizations. The gaps created by this is quite apparent in trying to use their services.

I tried unsuccessfully for over a dozen hours to configure these services to provide basic DNS management and email forwarding. Lots of broken links, non-functioning interfaces that seem like something needs to be configured somewhere else first.

Twice (in a three week period) I get thru on their "live chat" but the person I connected with only understood part of the full picutre, since they only worked for one of the loose companies.

All I wanted to setup was basic DNS and email forwarding. After a dozen hours of banging my head (with almost no documentation or customer support) I gave up.

save yourself pain. avoid these guys.

(I put my account name in invoice number above, their confirmation email does not contain an invoice number) "

"Stay away from this company if you can. Their customer support is a joke. I submitted a request and never heard from them for over a month.

Thanks to mommadillo for the instructions on getting the auth code. I am moving my domains away."

"Please beware of this company. I attemped to register a domain recently and four times it failed - each failure reportedly costing me 0.00$. WRONG - $9.99 charges for all four failed attempted to by the same domain, customer service will not respond and the phone help seems to be chronically offline. I am writing this to warn people to stay away from this, and avoid the troubles myself and many others are going through."

"DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH REGISTERFLY - THEY **WILL** RIP YOU OFF!

I paid for two renewals this past Monday, and will most likely lose the domains. They now show as expired, so I'm unable to get the authorization codes I need to transfer them to another registrar. RegisterFly does not respond to support requests.

How to get the authorization number for your domains so you can transfer them to another registrar:

1) Log on to your RegisterFly account
2) Click the "Manage Domains" tab
3) Click the domain you wish to transfer
4) Click the plus sign to the right of the Domain Contact Information field
5) Click the blue "Configure" button at the bottom of the entry
6) The authorization code will be at the bottom left of the displayed information

Unfortunately, if your domains have expired, you can't get the authorization code. I would strongly advise you NOT wait and see if RegisterFly recovers from this, unless you want to risk losing your domains for good or having to pay big bucks to get them back."

"Every time I went online to renew the domain, the website would not let me check out. The domain expired, and eventually the website worked well enough that I was able to renew it at a higher rate.

Now they are showing that they never received payment even though I have a receipt and I have a charge on my credit card.

This company no longer has anyone answering the phones and are likely going out of business very soon."

"This is one of the worst online companies I have ever dealt with.

I registered a domain name with them and paid to renew it earlier this month. I got an email saying the renewal failed, no reason given. How can a renewal fail when the domain hasn't expired, the info is correct and hasn't changed, etc?

I put in a help desk ticket asking for an explanation. It was closed without a reply. I put in another one that was also ignored.

I put in a claim with Paypal and got a refund (probably due to Paypal's efforts, not Registerfly's).

Now I'm trying to transfer the name to another registrar, but I need an "auth code", which I'm supposed to get from Registerly. I put in a help desk ticket asking for that 3 days ago, still no reply.

Please, don't give this company any business! Just look at all the horror stories here."

"I tried to renew a website five times(!), all five attempts failed. Why? I don't know, their systems never told me and their support had no idea.

I was charged all 5 times, only good thing I can say about registerfly is that they did refund my money on request.

Trying to get ahold of support takes hours (literally). I tried holding on the phone for 2 hours before I gave up, then switched over to live support for another 3 before I was able to talk to someone.

Their suggestion was to "keep trying".

Luckly, I was able to tranfer my domain name away from Registerfly in time to renew it.

I highly recommend you avoid using them. Purchasing a domain name works just fine on their systems, renewals do not. The support problems at Registerfly have existed for a *long* time, plenty of time for them to correct it. But they refuse to!

Stay away!"

"Registerfly is bad hosting service and bad domain service and bad company.

my last message to registerfly:

How kind of help service is this? Many time i have been sent e-mail to you. You dishonorables did not give any answer. But my web addresses are still not open. For 15 days i am waiting to see them active. There is no difference. I had many problems with my customers because of you. So i am going to tell and complain about you everywhere i can reach on the internet.

REGISTERFLY IS BAD SERVICE.............

Türkler,
Registerfly isimli firmadan kesinlikle hosting veya domain hizmeti almayýn. Paranýzý ödeseniz bile servis alma þansýnýz yok. Ne maillere ne de yardým servisine 15 gündür cevap alamýyorum. Sadece para ödemiþ olursunuz kesinlikle teknik destek alma þansýnýz yok.

"As of this week, I transferred ALL domains away from this company. Their customer service has been terribly unresponsive, and their renew/transfer process appears to be broken. (Registerfly used to be reseller of another registrar, eNom. They have since become a registrar in their own right. So to renew a domain that was registered under the old regime, a transfer is part of the process, even though Registerfly is on both sides of the transaction.)

To get the renewal/transfer process resolved, it took repeated phone calls at long distance rates, and in at least a couple of occasions, I would wait on hold for extended periods prior to being hung up on--and at one point my domain actually expired. A related issue was what the expiration date as shown as Registerfly's control panel was at odds with the same date as shown in my "whois" data.

But as bad as they seem to be with phone responses, they appear to be worse when it comes to opening trouble tickets. As to those, Registerfly tends to want to close these out unresolved, and in at least one instance, deleted the ticket entirely. Their practice is to respond to the ticket and then set it to auto-close the same day, so it is necessary to respond to the ticket to leave it open.

The most bizarre part was that at one point they posted daily credits to my account in the form of a "Quick Pay" balance, yet they still would not respond to plainly worded trouble tickets on the issue.

They are not simply the worst registrar. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with, internet or otherwise, ANY industry, EVER. "
