"I have never had a worse experience online shopping. I made my way to redtag.com through a groupon for a blu ray player. not only was I not given any kind of order number after purchase, but when trying to contact redtag, I was brought to an email page.....NO phone number. there was no tracking, and after a week of waiting around for email responses I would never get, I got worried this product wasn't going to show up by Christmas. it was a gift. no tracking number, no phone number, no order number....finally, about a week and a half later, I get a response to one of my complaining emails. they had WAITED to respond until it had an order number and ahead shipped. also, they shipped it to the wrong address! not only is this gift late and ruined, but I'm getting the feeling this blu ray player is going to have problems, just because if came from this crappy company. buyers beware! sketchy business!"

"Absolutely the most deviant, fraudulent site on the Web, from my experience. Purchased a Nikon 5000 camera kit. The box was previously opened and several items missing (lens cap cover, Manuel in English, battery).I noticed them immediately and they said that they were now out of the item and they gave me a RMA # and I was told to return the item. The kit also was to come with free shipping and a free camera bag, neither received.

Upon sending the kit back, AS TOLD TO DO, I found outnthat they still charged me a restocking fee, even though they WERE NOT ABLE TO FULLFIL THERE OBLIGATION AND REQUESTED BE TO SEND THE ITEM BACK. AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS ATTEMPTING TO WORK WITH AMERICAN EXPRESS, TO NO AVAILE, I AM STILL OUT THE 20% restocking fee and shipping charges, which were advertised as FREE. Bank states that they do not get involved with return fees, even though the item was returned at the senders request.

Red tag contiually states to take this up with your credit card company.

They, Red tag Savings are just badddddddddd.

"I ordered Toshiba Protege from RedTag.

I received it today via FedEx.

There are many issues with the laptop.

1) The charger does not work.
2) The screen has black dots on it which I cannot erase with a wet cloth.
3) The letters S, D, F, G and T cannot be used with normal pressing. I need to put lot of pressure on them to work.
4) The USB port does not work to copy files into the laptop.

I did not think I will have so many issues with one single laptop.

I would like to return this and get a refund.
Thanks."

"Wow this place has hit a new low for internet shopping. I buy everything online and have yet to have something like this happen.

September 22, 2010, I place an order for a laptop.
For a week there is no status change in the processing of the order. It just says it is at the suppliers warehouse...So I finally send an email to them and get no reply for a few days. Then on october 3 (11 days after I place the order!!) I get an email stating that there has been a delay in the shipping of the order and to give them an additional 5 days...

Again, nothing changes in the status after 5 days and I send another email. I get no response after 2 days so decide to call instead. They said it is at the suppliers warehouse (obviously) and that she will look into it and get back to me. She was very nice and helpful (the only positive thing in this experience).

So finally on October 11 (19 days after I place to order) I get an email that they don't have the laptop in stock.

How hard is it to call the supplier and ask what they have in? I don't think it takes 19 days for that to happen. Buyer beware."

"Stay away from redtag! buyer beware! I bought a proview 32" televiosion from them which stopped working TWO MONTHS after I purchased it. I've been trying to get them to fix or replace or refund my money (basicaly do SOMETHING other than ignore me) for 7 months now. Apparently this television is a refuribished item - which they never disclosed to me and sold me the additional warranty (and stuck me for an additional $54) on an item that does not qualify for extended warranty because it is a refurb and they never disclosed it to me --I also bought a Memorex bluray player that also fizzed out after two months, luckily Memorex is a reliable company and they have since replaced it for me."

"Red flag for people shopping on www.redtagsavings.com. This store still uses old tactic bait and switch, a complete waste of your time and money.

Ordered an item on 6/17/10 online. Called about 30min after that to confirm. A customer service confirm the item is available and try to sell more insurance/accessories but I said just want to buy the only item.

6/20/10 check online and see the status stay as "To verify", called customer service again, they said they're still processing. Check back that afternoon and see status changed to "In process"

6/23/10 morning, check online, still see status "In process". Called and they said they send email about a warehouse issue (of course, no email ever sent to me, I double checked junk folder too) the item is not available and offer another older model which cost $50 less.

That's a seven days wasting of my time so I canceled the order and post the alert here for shoppers, and also contribute to attempt to weed out stores that use same tactics "bait and switch"."

"BUYER BEWARE!! This company is acting fraudulently. They sell broken or used merchandise, and refuse a refund. They cannot be trusted. Please read the BBB for real reviews! Not to be trusted. They sold me a broken camera and refused a refund. The item was advertised as new and sold as USED and BROKEN. Stay away. Lawsuits are pending."

"Red Tag Savings has a rating of F with Better Business Bureau, 102/109 complaints unresolved, and 6 of them are are guarantee of warranty issues. See: http://www.bbb.org/new-york-city/business-reviews/electronic-equipment-and-supplies-dealers/digital-delivered-in-brooklyn-ny-75392/

Page for Nikon S60 I bought on Red Tag Savings site: http://www.redtagsavings.com/products.asp?product_id=13045

Notice that it says:
. All products come with USA warranty.
. Full manufacturers package.
. No gray market or imported goods.

Now, here is what happened to me. I ordered a Nikon s60 digital camera from RedTagSavings.com. Besides calling me and bothering me about my debit card address and trying to sell me an extended warranty at first, it wasn't too bad. They also have a policy that you have to be the one to be there and sign for the package they ship, which is a problem for those of us who live alone and work during the day.

The real problem came about 6 months later... my camera began exhibiting a lens error, but since my camera was supposed to have a full one year US warranty on it, I shipped it to Nikon to have it fixed. A few weeks later I called Nikon to check on the status of my camera and found out that Nikon couldn't work on my camera because its serial number indicated the camera was supposed to be sold in the European market, not the American market, which means RedTagSavings bought it from somewhere in Europe and resold it to me. I have contacted RedTagSavings about it, and they refuse to give the original receipt of purchase for the camera to Nikon, and if I'm unable to resolve this, I'm stuck with a $250 piece of plastic junk.

So, if you order from this store, don't count on having a manufacturer's warranty.

Still not convinced? Have a look at the place you are buying from: http://donwiss.com/pictures/BrooklynStores/h0195.htm"

"STAY AWAY!
Nothing but the facts:
Ordered lens, they sent the wrong one to me.
I called to tell them of mistake. They tried to get me to keep the wrong lens.
I said no.
Returned the lens.
They told me they would send the right lens expedited delivery.
Never happened.
They did not have the lens i wanted in stock but never told me that.
After two weeks I told them to cancel and refund purchase price.
Two weeks later they have not despite repeated calls.
I called credit card company so I am not liable.
But, they couldn't get the order right and not only had no interest in making anything right but two weeks later still have not credited my card with my refund.
STAY AWAY; they are scammers!!!"

"I was a little apprehensive (to say the least) about ordering from this company after reading the ratings. But, the price was the best on the net for a new Garmin. The seller states the item was in stock and would ship within 2 business days and delivery would be 4-10 days after that. I received the item 6 business days after placing the order. I received exactly what I had ordered and I am very happy with my decision to go with Red Tag Savings. I plan on buying a Digital SLR camera in the near future and will definately shop Red Tag Savings again"
