"Same story as many of those posted above. Tried to purchase a Canon camera (body only; I have the accessories), twice. The first time, they backordered it, saying it was out of stock for 6-8 weeks. The second time, I kept receiving calls for about a week, hangup calls at my house and on my cell phone. I now see this was when they were trying to upsell me the extra gadgets. At the time, they would either hangup or leave really garbled messages. One of the messages was actually a recording of the "salesperson" talking to someone else in the background.
When I called to check on my order after the eight weeks were up, they put me on hold then hung up on me. I happened to be composing an email to the customer service at the time, telling them how poor a job they were doing. Funny, but no one responded to my email, later.
So, I finally cancelled the order.
Two days ago, I called Razz and BestPriceCameras, not knowing they were the same entity. I wanted to check the availability of the camera, now. Interestingly, they had the same on-hold music and voices, including Christmas songs in May. That's when the check-them-out lightbulb finally went off. And, when I finally spoke with someone, they were more than willing to sell me the camera, I just needed to buy the overpriced memory, or a lense, or (fill in the blank, and they'd have my order out that day. If not, then just the camera body could be ordered ON-LINE only, not through the LIVE person I was talking to. When I mentioned that their website showed the camera was In Stock, he very confidently told me that the website didn't show that. Guess what, he's right. That information came from ShopCartUSA.com, the link where I had found these sellers.
So, final word, do not order from them. I have found a whole list of similar and related retailers that operate the same way, and will be using it to find an actual retailer I want to buy from. "
"I ordered a digital camera from this company because their web site said it came with a free promotional package, a dvd player or a tripod, camera case, etc., as well as free shipping. I needed the camera case so I placed the order for $679.00.
No where in the order process was I able to choose what promotion I wanted, so I called them about it. After being transferred five times, and on hold for over 20 minutes the phone was answered by someone who said he was a manager and could help me. I told him what I wanted and he had no idea what I was talking about, even though it was displayed all over the web site. He said the order had not been shipped yet, and he'd throw in those things for free along with a few other goodies. I thought that was ok, and was about to end the call when he asked me if I wanted a camera that worked.
Of course I wanted a camera that worked. He said I ordered one that didn't work and didn't come with a battery, charger, or firmware to run the camera. But for only $200 more I could get a working camera. I was put on the spot and fell for it so I said ok. He then told me their company was required to insure packages. I declined insurance and he said they wouldn't ship my order unless it was insured. I should have recognized there was a problem now, but I didn't.
After everything was done he said it would ship out with all my "free" extras in about 30 minutes. I hung up and realized that he was lying, so I called back to cancel my order. They would not allow me to cancel after waiting on hold for another 20 minutes because the employee told me the order had shipped early that morning.
This made me pretty mad because they obviously didn't send me a camera that didn't work that morning, or all the extras the manager had promised. I called UPS to see if they could cancel the shipment. They told me after billing had gone through only the shipper could recall a package. I called Razz Photo back, waited on hold, and told the customer service rep I would wait on hold while they recalled the shipment. After waiting on hold for another 20-30 minutes he came back and said he called UPS and they wouldn't let him recall it, so he put a refused shipment notice on it after the first delivery-attempt. I waited until the shipment arrived at the local UPS warehouse then called them and told them I refuse the package, don't deliver it, and send it back. UPS was great to help me with this.
I filed a dispute charge form with my credit card after discovering the company charged me $989.99 for the order, much higher than the $200 more and insurance, and they told me I had to wait 30 days. I called Razz Photo back and demanded a refund. The rep told me as soon as they get the package back I'd get a full refund. On the 33rd day, they only refunded a part of my money. My credit card company took care of the rest. Don't order from them!"
"I ordered a high end Nikon lense. It was shipped, then I find out it was not shipped. Then I am told it will ship in a few days, then I am told it will not ship for a few weeks. On another call, I am told they do not know when it will ship. I am upset, they hang up a few times. Nothing I was told or read was true. I cancel order and change credit card number. I am concerned that it seemed they were more interested in my personal info then anything else. This was the worst shopping expierince. "
" Doing projector research, I came across the Mitsubishi HC1500, a unit nearly identical to the Optoma HD72 in spec. The best price (from a price search service-DidUPrice) listed bestpricecameras.com, as cheapest at $699 with free shipping. I went to this outfit and ordered the Mitsubishi HC1500, even adding the $199, 3 year bulb warranty which offered two free bulb replacements (worth $300 each) in the three year period. Sounded great. Order completed, confirmation in the email box.
The next morning at just after 7am, I'm awakened (I'm retired) with a call from JK (J&K?) Cameras mentioning my order and requesting the 3 digit security code on the back of my card. I stumbled to my office, got the card and gave them the number. The guy on the line then says "this is the wholesale version of the HC1500 which doesn't come with a bulb". What?! "Yeah, he says, now the bulb sells for $500, but since you took the bulb warranty, we'll sell you the bulb for $199. What?! "OK, he says, how about $99, would you pay $99 for the bulb?" This is absurd, I say, I've never heard of a projector being sold without the bulb, I'm canceling the order. He says, "You'll have to pay the cancellation fee." I reply that I'll dispute that. His response is to hang up. I'm thinking, this bestpricecameras.com has a real security problem, they've been hacked and the hacker had the order information, probably the credit card number and now the 3 digit security code all wrapped in a nice package to get me mad enough to ignore the fraud and allow him to hang up and for me to fume, forgetting that I'd just passed along the last piece of info the crook needed.
I called the credit card company and canceled that card number, asking for a new card to be sent along. No problem.
Then I called bestpricecameras.com and gave my order number. I then asked, are you J&K Cameras? Yes, they replied. I then asked where in the online ad they specified that the projector came without a bulb. The guy on the other end whose voice I just then recognized as the one that had called me said, "the order's canceled. I don't have time to talk to you" 'click'.
I can just imagine Mitsubishi sending out container loads of incomplete projectors, leaving their customers on their own to find a bulb. I also know where the bulbs for the 3 year bulb guarantee program come from--I think they're the ones that J&K Camera (DBA bestpricecameras.com) removes from the projectors they sell.
I strongly advise not doing business with either J&K Cameras, or Razzphoto.com or bestpricecameras.com. There's probably nothing technically illegal in their tactics, it's just sleazy and wrong."
"DO not and I repeat DO NOT do business with these people. I ordered a camera and when I called to confirm it they said it would ship the next day. I called back to ask a question and spoke to a different person and he hung up on me before I could ask the question. Got suspecious with this so I called back. After being on hold for a long time I finally got through to a person. I ask how many people worked there and he told me not many. I asked who the owner was and he told me he didin't know. I ask the speak to the manager and he put me on hold and never came back. I called again and ask for customer service where no one answered. I called back and ask him to please don't hang up on me or put me on hold and he replied I never do. I ask about my order and he put me on hold and never came back. I thought I would call the next Monday ad I got the same guy. He ask what I ordered and he said I wasn't going to get it. I ask why and he said and I Quote"Because I don't feel like sending it out. Then he said he didn't have the item and then hung up. I would love to visit the store and meet this guy face to face. I am so P/o I could spit fire. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM."
"I ordered a Nikon D80 camera package online. I called and confirm billing couple of days later. I called several times and within all those times I spoke to very rude customer reps. All of them tried to upsale me. The rep told me that the expensive package was in stock and laughed abnoxiuosly about the lesser package I wanted. He blatantly told me that he wouldnt sell me the lesser. Then he told me that my item was out of stock. I finally got frustrated and asked to cancell the order! I felt like the whole company was a big joke and even felt that I may have been scammed in providing my CC info online. I immediately called my CC company and cancelled my card. I called RazzPhoto a couple more times just to find out if they were legit by placing different orders over the phone but got the same run around: they wouldnt sell you any items below a thousand, they are very rude, they hang up on you, put you on hold for several minutes at a time, etc. I finally did my research about this website and other websites similar to this and I am utterly disgusted. I wish I knew about this info before placing the order and going through all this mess!"
"The absolute worst experience I have ever had with an on line dealer!!!!
First problem: I ordered my item 2nd day air ups, but accidentally put in my PO box. I called the next day and was assured that it would be sent second day air since I had given the correct address. I ordered my item on the 26 of October and it was sent out on the first of November US Post office priority mail(keep in mind I paid for 2nd day air UPS).
Second problem: I was called 2 or 3 days after my purchase and up sold. That's not the problem, I fell for it, shame on me. The problem is that after going from and 800 dollar package to a 1300 dollar package I kind of wanted to know what exactly I had gotten for the extra money. So I tried to call a couple of times and was not in the mood to be put on hold for the amount of time that they make you wait(around 15 minutes after you've all ready spent your money, right away when you want to spend some money). So I e-mailed at least 3 times to no avail. After a week had passed and nothing(including my camera) came of my inquiry I began to try and call.
Third problem: I was given the run around every time I tried to call. I waited on hold for only God knows how long each time and given a different story every time I called. First I was given a bogus UPS number, then I was told it was sent USPS and was given another bogus tracking number, then they told me they would call me back, do you see the pattern? It went on like this until I got the right tracking code and found out for sure indeed it was sent through our mail system priority mail on November first. By the way all but a couple of these calls were decently pleasant, but a couple of people were very rude.
Fourth Problem: It was the 21 of November when I called and wanted my money back. It was not shipped the way I wanted it and it was not here. I don't think I was out of line. The guy told me he could just send me the same camera I ordered and over night it. When I said that was fine. He then told me I would have to put a one thousand dollar deposit on it. I told him that that was unacceptable and became firm in wanting my money back. I was informed that it would take 30 days to refund money for something I hadn't even received. When I let him know again that it was unacceptable I wanted my money back so I could buy another camera, and that I was all ready going to miss pictures to my son's Thanksgiving recital and did not want to miss Christmas pictures. Well that is when he got down right nasty telling me "It is not the end of the world Ma'am" And "I can understand why you got such bad customer service" and last but not least he told me "you need to learn how to follow simple instructions". This was a manager as I had requested when I called because I thought there might be a little bit more of a chance for strait answers. I go strait answers, with the worst customer service that I have ever received. I cannot believe these people are in business. Which leads me to number five.
After going through all of this I started some research on the internet. On Razzphoto's site it says that they have been in business for 7 years, but in all reality Razzphoto appeared online in August of 07. I also found out that most likely Razzphoto is just a front for Best Price Cameras. When I looked up Razzphoto on WHOIS it gave a Vancouver Wa address, but is sent from Brooklyn NY. I am still looking around to see what else I can find out, and I am still waiting for a camera or my money back. Wish me luck, I need it. I have alo started a complaint wit the BBB."
"Prices are too good to be true...so they are NOT! I ordered a Nikon D80 body only on june 16. they never ran my card so i called and they told me 2-4 weeks 3 weeks later I called again and was told the body only was not available. he implied if I bought a kit, the order would ship right away. Call it stalling, bait and switch whatever. They are awful. another review says they faked their feedback. they would have to!"
"I also had a horrible experience. I tried purchasing a Nikon D80 and after i didnt agree to the upsell he told me 4-6 weeks on back order which there is no mention of. Today it is listed for two hundred less. I also cancelled my creditcard."
"Don't ever think to do a business with thic guy. They are scam, dishonest business. They just want to try to steal your information. After hung up on me 3 times, telling me it is back order. Their website posts with new price, a 100 more. Be aware, you are warned"
