"These guys are thieves, plain and simple. They are in the business of stealing people's money for purchases of items like cameras and not delivering. Shame on New York for allowing so many of these businesses to continue operating ! Certainly the city authorities must know what's going on, and nothing is done !"
"Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves - Expecam, PhotoNation and RainbowTronics. The grey goods gurus of Brooklyn are dangling deals specifically designed to dupe you. They will steal your grand mamma’s last nickel then roast a lamb to celebrate. Their customer service department consists of a few randomly selected high pressure salesmen who are one, perhaps two steps ahead of the law. Deciding on cheap can be the most expensive decision you could possibly make. Don’t believe me, check out what the New York BBB has to say about them. These are not nice people. "
"I bought from these crooks a year ago, and although I got what I order at the advertised price, it was a week long battle during which I canceled the order and re ordered again. So I figured I could beat the system.
This time I tried to order 4 40D cameras for $575. I got the usual email asking me to call back to "confirm" my order. They insisted the camera es the "abroad" model made of plastic with no battery nor charger. Then offered to sell me the "US model" for $1000. So I canceled my order. Buyer beware."
"Tried to bought a Canon 40D, they tried to make me buy all the parts extra, called two days later to confirm credit card and then told me the camera doesn't come with anything, and wanted to get me to pay more for batteries, manual, USB cable. Then told me USB cable was special for this cam. Watch out for them, they're not honest."
"SCAM!!!! I bought a Nikon D80 (body only) from rainbowtronics. The next day I received a call from them to "confirm" my credit card info--and to inform me that I had just bought the camera "shell" with NOTHING inside!!! They then proceeded to try to sell me the camera I thought I had already purchased for about 570.00 more than I paid. There was NOTHING in the description that stated it was only the shell--it was advertised as "Nikon D80 camera body - lens not included". These people are very dishonest--be very careful if you choose to buy from them!!!"
"I ordered a Canon G7 from their website. After 9 business days (from the time I ordered) I get a call from someone at the company saying that they are ready to ship the order but want to confirm the billing/shipping address. Then they person tells me if I only want to order the camera body and nothing else? The G7 is a point and shoot camera and normally sold with everything you need right out of the box but this guy tells me that they battery and charger is not included. They wanted additional money to buy these items which are normally included (according to Canon’s website). They total price of the camera plus those additional items made me cancel the order.
I should also mention that I got “disconnected” twice when I talked to them and that the staff I talked to was rude. "
"I wish I had seen these reviews of Rainbowtronics before this week. I'm ashamed to have fallen prey to the classic bait and switch. When trying to cancel the order I was called several 4 letter words and told to take the camera and shove it up my a$$! these guys are serious scam artists jerks. I'm still trying to get my $332 back and I'm about to fill a report with the FBI internet fraud division. "
"Beware beware beware! Do NOT do business with these guys as they are people who think they can outsmart any customer and cancel any order when they can't. I didn't take into consideration the reviews I saw here before buying a product from them and now I regret that choice. Don't make the same mistake that I did. I am shocked how they can still remain in the business."

I saw a Nikon D80(body only)from their website listed at $159, brand new. "Wow it seems too good to be true, but $159 isn't much", so I still placed the order.
Next day I went to Samy's to get a lense and mentioned this unbelievable price, the store clerks showed me these reviews here -- bait and switch for usaphotonation.com.
Already feeling suspicious, I got home and sat down, just to see this email "Thank you for placing your order with USA Photo Nation. We regret to inform you that your order has gone in to backorder. The item that you have ordered has been oversold and will not be available to us for approximately 4-6 weeks. If you would like to cancel your order simply reply with your name, order number and confirmation to cancel."
So I canceled the order and went back to their site, just to see the very same camera is still listed as in-stock, only the price now changed to $479.
Well $479 is still a lot cheaper than market price of $900, but God knows what in the world these people are doing. I simply would not want trust them."
