"A friend ordered parts from RPM Outlet last MAY, to be delivered to my home. All the parts arrived except for the most important part. All but one of the other parts were readily available at any car parts or discount department store. (Plugs, thermostat,. . .)
After giving them months to fix the issue, they finally said that they would refund the money, later claiming that they had. A check with the company which the OWNER of RPM stated would complete the transaction indicated that no such transaction took place
I called today; the person answering the phone claims that they went bankrupt, and that he bought the company. HOWEVER, before he told me that, when I asked for the two owners, and the manager of record (George, Vance and Mike, from the BBB complaint files) he indicated that, "they are in and out all the time." The new name is RPM Beta, at www.RPMOnline09.com .
Do as you wish, but if these guys are still around AT ALL, I won't do business there!"
"This company is scam and is full of bullshit. I ordered cams for my car dec.22 and got 2 day shipping, then the 28th of december they send me a email saying it will be shipped from the factory, so i call the factory and they tell me that they havent received a order from that company for them at all, there email said it should be at my house by the 9th. So i tried calling them THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE AT ALL, and on their website provide you with a wrong number in the first place, so there is no way for me to talk to anyone about it. So i finally decide to drive out to their shop which is 45 minutes away from me in Houston, i find two locations for the company both buildings were for lease and unoccupied. This company is a scam do not order ANYTHING from then, the owner deserves to be beat down for all the people he's ripped off."
"I have had many dealings with this company. I purchased many parts for my Mustang and they never missed a beat. Fast shipping and I got everything. When I called they answered the phone. That was over three years ago. BUUUUUUUUUUUT!!! I recently ordered a cold air intake and recieved the wrong one for my truck. I ordered the correct one while I was obtaining a RGA#. So I bought (2) cold air intake kits. I recieved my RGA number and returned the pckage in return to get store credit. I did not hear anything at all. My emails get returned cause I was blocked, no one answers the phone. I had to file a compliant through the Better Bussiness Buearu. It has been over three months trying to return this."
"I have given these morons more than enough chances to redeem themselves. I have gone through the same types of things with them. Their customer service sucks! Have been waiting for more than 3 months for a credit and no one can give me a straight answer about anything and I have to call over and over again just to get anyone on the phone. "
"be ware it's a scam...we placed an order for a transmission almost 3 months ago and paid with paypal, few days later we received an email from rpm stating that they want us to send them extra money $750 to cover shipping cost since it's international shipping so we did. We paid a total of $3,550 and for the first month we called countless times to follow up with the order and they would not give us a straight answer, next we contacted the vendor which they claimed they placed our order with and they told us they have no record of anyone placing an order for a transmission from RPM. after 2 months of not receving our order we contacted RPM and spoke to owner George Pastran about cancelling our order. He claimed he had sent a request to paypal to reverse the charges which we found out later through paypal that it was a lie, he also asked us for our bank account and routing # to refund us $775 for that extra shipping cost since we paid cash for that portion, and we haven't seen that money back. After over a month since our request of refund we are still $3550 out and no transmission. I called George Pastran today to follow up and when I identified my self he hung up the phone on me. The business has an F rate with BBB. They have also changed their name to RPM Beta and their new website is www.betarpm.com so be ware because it's the same company. We realize that it might be too late for us to get our money back, but it's not too late for you to save your self from this scam of a company, which after years of having poor satisfaction rate with consumers and filling for bankruptcy last year, they are trying to do business under a differnt name(RPM beta)with a different website address www.betarpm.com. So be ware this is the same company if you deal with RPM Beta YOU ARE dealing with RPM Outlet. "

"Stay away from this company. I ordered an exhaust system for my Mustang. It arrived fine, but it didn't fit right when I tried to install it. I asked for an RMA and told them of my problem. I got my RMA number and sent it back to RPMOutlet on my dime. Then I get the package back about a week later saying they couldn't return it because it was installed - WELL NO KIDDING...how would I know it doesn't fit correctly???
Anyway, this company is nothing but a headache, and considering all the other terrible reviews out there, I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that. So to wrap it up....
"Avoid this business. They don't reply to emails and do not respond (rma email address bounces back). I can't get through on the phone to return my part. I have given up and shopped elsewhere for my part.
They sent me the wrong part (but had the correct part number listed on the invoice).
1 star performance (as their shipping was fast - EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE WRONG PART!!)"
"I bought pullys for my truck and got a empty box. This is the biggest rip off I have ever got. Yes, it was only $250.00 but thats a lot for me. signed for it from ups,and open it wow nothing lol.Thinking theres fraud here.Emailed them tons of times and they say waiting for the ups claim to go through.Still waiting so mad.2 months later. Still waiting.
"I bought a flash ford tuner from this company on 5/31/08. I placed the order and 5 minutes or sooner later, realized I did not need this part. RPM's salesman, Tony, told us that we could just send it back to them and get reimbursed. Now this is not the case. We sent it back to them and only got partial credit and they kept $155.00 for various hidden fees.
I have contacted customer service over and over and yesterday spoke to George Pastran who is a supervisor. He was so rude, he swore at me and then denied it. He told me to call his girlfriend, she will tell me that he doesn't swear (juvenile). He refused to return any of the extra money.
Stay away from this company, I will be calling the Texas attorney general's office today and have contacted the better business bureau. "
"There's no way to marks a negative number on this rating? RPM Outlet sucks and in a sense stole $49 from me! They sold me a "Custom Long Tube Header Tune" for my SCT X3 that threw a P0605 code that's simple to correct. They emailed me a new tune in the wrong file type so it wouldn't load into the SCT. They then emailed a new tune that wouldn't upload into the car. They then emailed me another one that also wouldn't upload into the car. I had to go to SCT's Tech Support, (who aren't supposed to to support the end users; just support the dealers), and have them fix the base performance tune for my GT500. The SCT tech support rep told me that they consider RPM Outlet as disreputable. Several calls and emails to the RPM Outlet salesman and sales manager have gone unanswered for over a month. Since they engage in Interstate trade I've since made a complaint to The Federal Trade Commission. In a nutshell, they told me that I need to sue RPM Outlet for $49 plus legal fees. I'd rather spread the word of how terrible they are! It'll cost them more in the long-run."
