"I ordered a LG USB data kit from this vendor. It arrived very timely, and very well wrapped. After opening it, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of professionalism. The drivers CD were home made with a CD burner on Durabrand CD-Rs (Durabrand is the Walmart store brand... yes, they bought them at Walmart). And the connector set is obviously third-party generic. As a seasoned software programmer, it took me well over 20 minutes to figure out how to get the device working properly, so I have great sympathy to all those others who said the drivers didn't work. The software boot-sequence was written with Visual Basic, and the writers did not even bother to change the default program icon! (Not to mention an extremely silly song that is played when the CD is inserted into the drive... something akin to 4 drunk guys singing about how RPI wireless is awesome.) Overall, I got a cheap product, and it worked. That much I am happy with. I've just got a suspicion that for your average user, its just gonna be frustration."
"Unfortunately, I discovered this site after I made my purchase from RPI Wireless. This was by far the absolute worst purchasing experience I've ever had. I bought a LG VX 8100 USB cable on 2/28 and promptly received 4 automatic emails.
Over the next few days I kept checking my order detail page on RPI's website to get the tracking number which didn't appear after several days. So I emailed their customer support... and got no reply. So I tried calling them and their automated system promptly said, "Thank you for calling. Goodbye." it was then that I first thought, "Uh oh, who did I just give $30 to?"
I sent emails to every single email address I could find on their site and called their sales phone number, all with no reply. That's when I first did some research on the company and discovered what a huge majority of people had a bad experience.
I began looking into my options and considered calling my credit card company to issue a charge back. However, I saw a couple of people who said that they eventually got their packages after a few weeks even though they got incredibly bad customer service. So I waited and a week later got an email that gave me a tracking number which I checked with USPS only to discover that it doesn't mean the package was actually shipped.
So I waited a little while longer and today I finally got my cable which actually works, even though the installation CD is the most unprofessional looking thing I've ever seen.
The experience has taught me that the internet is still not a totally safe place to purchase something. RPI Wireless is absolutely the worst business I've ever seen. Their customer service is not just bad, it's non-existent and the company is borderline fraudulent. I'd sooner purchase a Rolex from some guy on the street than purchase from RPI Wireless again. This company should be shut down... now!"
"I recently ordered 10 cables from RPI for my LGVX7000 phone and 9 of my friends who have the same. The ordering process was a dream, instantly I was charged for the merchandise and received confirmation emails to verify my purchase. In my haste ordering, I forgot to order 2 more cables. I picked up the phone and called RPI, a friendly intelligent customer rep picked up on the first ring and was extremely helpful updating my order. 3 days later I received my order of 12 cables with a gift of complimentary car chargers and coupons for future purchases - what a great company. I hooked up the cable to my computer and installed the software RPI provided but ran into a glitch.. I picked up the phone and called their support number on the RPI website, a support person picked up the phone on one ring!! He talked me through my issue in around 5 minutes, and asked me after if there was anything else he could help me with..What exemplary, professional customer service!! I was so pleased with my buying experience at RPI wireless, that I emailed their esteemed owner, Robert Valentine (he's alive) and he replied back about an hour later very gracious for my high praises.
If you believe a word of this...you're high, retarded..or both.
"Order 45 days old with no product and no feedback. Will not respond to e-mail inquiries. Cannot contact by phone as phone tree is bogus (circular - all options bounce back to the main menu). I am filing a claim with my CC company. Stay clear of these guys; they are bogus!"

"Will not answer the phone or confirm my order. No tracking info received yet on line. Credit card was bill the day of my order. Not a happy customer at this time "AT ALL!!""
"Was told by sales person that the required installation software CD would be included with mobile phone datacable but did not receive the CD with purchase. Have not been successful contacting anyone at RPI by phone after several attempts. Plan to return cable for refund. "
"I also ordered a charging cable from RPIwireless and did not receive it (it's been two weeks). Tried to contact them through their email, online support, and their useless phone system without sucess. Since I used a debit card instead of a credit card, I guess I'll have to write off this experience. As others have said, RPIwireless is the worst online retailer that I've ever dealt with."
"I hate to say it...live & learn! I was told about this site by a friend who evidently has never had any need for customer service...lucky for him cuz there is none. I had tried to purchase a charging data cable for my cellphone..got an email from Robert Valentine assuring me they would refund my shipping charges as it was advertised on their site. He very graciously did so. Got my cble about 4 weeks later without any instructions and the cd didn't seem to work. I tried numerous times to contact by phone and email anyone from this company with no luck...even Mr Robert Valentine wouldn't return my emails! I had given them their money and thats where the contact stopped. So I am sitting here with a charging data cable that I have no idea how to use. Thank you very much for the $25.00 of BUYER BEWARE Mr Robert Valen-Crime ! If I had only found this site before I had purchased. "
"I ordered 2 phone cables on 7/6/2004, and my CC was charged immediately. In the weeks that followed, several e-mails and phone messages went unanswered. Finally, on 8/23, I received a notice that my order had shipped USPS. The USPS status said that USPS had been "notified by RPI wireless on 8/23 that a package would be sent". The status NEVER changed. After more unanswered e-mails, on 10/5, I finally got a PERSON on the phone by calling the SALES phone number (tricked you RPI, ha ha!) The guy I spoke with blamed USPS (even though USPS claims RPI never actually delivered a package to USPS!) Finally, on 10/7 I received the cables via DHL.
The SKU numbers did not match the cables. It took another 10 days to get someone on the phone at RPI; he assured me that the cables would work, even though the SKU numbers were wrong. Next, I tried the software that came on the homemade-looking RPI CD, but it refused to install on my system. I then hunted down newer versions on the Internet (it was all freeware anyway). I finally got it all working today. I've made well over two hundred purchases on the Internet from dozens of merchants and individuals, and I've NEVER had an experience this bad. Please, please please, stay away from RPI wireless!!!"
"After waiting for over a month to receive a sync cable for my Samsung phone I began to inquire about my shipment. I tried to contact RPI Wireless's telephone customer service but was given an automated run-a-round that always ended in an abrupt hang-up. I immediately began to suspect fraud and began a little on-line investigation of RPI Wireless. Luckily, I stumbled upon RessellerRatings.com and began reading through the multitude of negative comments from other consumers who had been ripped off by RPI Wireless. Thanks to ResellerRatings.com I was now aware that I had been cheated and immediately filed a fraud report with PayPal, the on-line payment service which I had used to purchase the product. Within thirty days PayPal contacted me vie e-mail notifying me that they had decided in my favor as well as recovered and reimbursed the total RPI Wireless charge back to my PayPal account! Thank you ResellerRatings.com and PayPal! "
