Unfortunately, I discovered this site after I made my purchase from RPI Wireless. This was by far the absolute worst purchasing experience I've ever had. I bought a LG VX 8100 USB cable on 2/28 and promptly received 4 automatic emails.
Over the next few days I kept checking my order detail page on RPI's website to get the tracking number which didn't appear after several days. So I emailed their customer support... and got no reply. So I tried calling them and their automated system promptly said, "Thank you for calling. Goodbye." it was then that I first thought, "Uh oh, who did I just give $30 to?"
I sent emails to every single email address I could find on their site and called their sales phone number, all with no reply. That's when I first did some research on the company and discovered what a huge majority of people had a bad experience.
I began looking into my options and considered calling my credit card company to issue a charge back. However, I saw a couple of people who said that they eventually got their packages after a few weeks even though they got incredibly bad customer service. So I waited and a week later got an email that gave me a tracking number which I checked with USPS only to discover that it doesn't mean the package was actually shipped.
So I waited a little while longer and today I finally got my cable which actually works, even though the installation CD is the most unprofessional looking thing I've ever seen.
The experience has taught me that the internet is still not a totally safe place to purchase something. RPI Wireless is absolutely the worst business I've ever seen. Their customer service is not just bad, it's non-existent and the company is borderline fraudulent. I'd sooner purchase a Rolex from some guy on the street than purchase from RPI Wireless again. This company should be shut down... now!
