"Camera (PYX_USA: Canon XH-Als XHAls XHAl 3CCD HDV Camcorder + Bonus Kit) was ordered June 7th 2009, extra was paid to get it before june 24th and agreed to cancel the order if not possible to get it by that date (I was going on a trip on june 25th). The camera was sent on June 31st, got delivered July 2nd; I was not there so it was returned and I am still waiting for my refund 3 months later. I am trying to reach them by phone, but there is no service for the number of customer service and the other numbers are not reachable from Canada. Very poor customer service, the worst I have experienced to date from an online store world wide. DON'T BUY THERE!!"
"Well I ordered my camera on June 30 of this year and everything was great because I got a great deal and I bought from a store that was selling on ebay and I have never had a problem before. So like everyone else i had to call to confirm and flew through the up-selling to find out when it will ship. They told me the usual of about 7 days, great! I can wait that long to get a great camera at a decent price. So I waited and waited and after 5 days I called them to find out if they shipped or not. They told me they will ship that day and provided a tracking number. I thought all was well because I got a tracking number, but it turns out it was just the number, they never gave the package to UPS and when the shipping notification didn't change for 3 days I called them again. I waited another ten minutes of my life to get a representative on the phone and when I did he told me I was upgraded to 2nd day air, awesome! So I thought. I waited another 2 days and guess what, no package, hell not even a change on the tracking notification they provided to UPS site. So I call them, again, and wasted another 10 minutes of life waiting for someone to pick up the phone. Someone finally gets on the phone and tells me again that the UPS truck is coming to pick up the package. So I wait, next day no change, so I call them again, same story. I call them 2 days later and see what's going on, same story, UPS is picking package up that day and check to see it change by 5 o'clock, clever guys I thought they were serious this time, but my hopes were shattered when nothing changed on the tracking info. So the next day I called to cancel with them. They tell me they're sorry for the delay and will give me a refund immediately and the memory card that was going to come with the camera, mine for free because of the delay (woopty doo, just give me my money back you douchebag, what am I going to do with a cf card with no camera anyways). So I play the waiting game again hoping they aren't going to jack my money. Well I waited for the refund and never got it except the $10 dollars I sent after the order was processed for shipping insurance. Great now I'm only $939 away from a full refund. So again I waited giving them the benefit of the doubt, hell I think called them again to find out where my money's at, but when they told me to check my account that day for a change I said f'it and went to the dispute center in paypal. I'm actually still waiting on a refund, and am glad I used paypal. I actually got an email saying, "An eCheck payment from Joe Shemia was declined by the sender's bank. We will automatically try to process this payment again in 3 business days. It then usually takes 3-5 days for the money to be deposited into your account. Please do not ship items until you receive payment", today and do not know what it means, but paypal already told me I was in favor of a refund. I think these guys took all their money out of their account and probably getting ready for the fines and lawsuits that are ahead of them. I wouldn't be surprised if they file for bankruptcy and send the money somewhere else because that's what these guys are, crooks! I ask myself why the hell didn't I avoid this headache and research them in the first place, all I had to do was GOOGLE: PYXIS+CAMERA+SCAM and a bunch of bad reviews came up. I really hope they go out of business or get a class action lawsuit against them."

"Ordered the Canon 5d with essentially a starter kit. I was persuaded by customer service rep also to buy a high capacity battery and ultra high speed memory card. The latter was missing from my package, although listed on the enclosed inventory sheet. Three calls to customer service resulted in first an argument from Mark that the standard card I received with the regular Canon battery was, in fact, a high speed card (that was not true) and then assurances from him and two other reps that the card would be sent in three to five days; it has not been sent. Two e-mails to customer service have not been answered. A TRULY HORRIBLE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE."
"Wow the same story as alot of people. I spend $1300 on a D90 from pyxis camera and had the same story... it would take 3-5 days to process the shipment and 7 days to deliver. I was told I needed to "call to confirm" after I bought the camera. when I did all they did was try to upsell me with addons and warranty's. I blew through all of it to ask when it would ship they said it would ship in 3-5 days after processing. I never got an e-mail from the company for ANNNYYTHINGGGGG they refuse to contact there customers. I called them after 5 days and they told me there was a small delay and it wouldn't ship for 3 days. so I waited 3 days and nevverrr heard from the company. So I called them and they said, it will ship tomorrow and we upgraded you to overnight shipping for free. Great! the next morning I had a notice from paypal saying pyxis sent a refund (which 3 weeks later I haven't gotten yet). when I called them about it they said... Oh sorry it'll take 8 weeks to get a new camera from Nikon because "our entire batch was defective" just like they've told other people about other products. They are F'n liars and scam artist. stay away from pyxis camera. They will make your life hell."
"I bought a UV filter for an slr camera that i recently purchased. The UV filter works great, and I got it at a great price! Lots of times the filters cost a bit, but Pyxis Camera had their filters for very cheap. Would definitely buy from them again! thanks Pyxis!"
"I purchased a Canon XSI Kit from Pyxis Camera on 7-14-09. I called before placing the order to be sure they had the camera and lenses in stock. They assured me everything was all set, and would ship within 24-48 hours and that I would receive an e-mail showing shipment. After 2 days I called, I was transferred to 3 different people, and finally they told me that the order couldn't be processed to the address I specified. I gave them a different address and it seemed to go through ok. I waited another 2 days and called them back. They assured me that everything would ship out that evening. So I called the next day, since I hadn't received an e-mail, and then they told me that it wouldn't ship out until Wednesday because they were waiting for a shipment. On Wednesday I called back and they tell me this time, that they actually don't have the camera at all, and they were waiting to get them from Canon, but that it would take 8-10 weeks for the shipment to come in, and they could call me then to see if I wanted the camera. I asked them to cancel the order and refund the money, they said they would and they would send me an e-mail. I still hadn't received an e-mail the following day, so I called again. The man that I spoke to on the phone was very rude and unprofessional, I asked him why they would advertise the camera for sale if they didn't have the camera, he told me that they did have the camera but they shipment of them was defective, which was a different story than I got the day before. I told him it was hard to believe that a whole shipment of new cameras would be defective, and he said "oh yeah it is hard to believe because canon is perfect". I had an overall TERRIBLE transaction, and I would NEVER do business with this company again. I would gladly pay more money and actually receive my product and not have to continually call to get updates. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Ordered a lens from their web store. Couple hours later got cancellation letter - item not in stock.Complete nonsense. A day before a guy named Andy assured me that the item is available, just need to wait 10 days for it to arrive. Item is listed 'In Stock' on their web site even now. Maybe their B&M store is decent, but avoid their web store!"
