"BEWARE OF THIS RIP OF COMPANY. I PLACED AN ORDER ON SUNDAY NIGHT AT THEIR WEB SITE. THE NEXR DAY I SAW 2 DEBITS CHARGED TO MY BANL ACCOUNT. WHEN I CALLED TO RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM WITH PUTITAN PRIDE, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY NOW DOUBLE CHARGE ALL ORDERS UNTIL THE ORDER IS SHIPPED. WHAT KIND OF RIP OFF IS THIS? iI STOPPED DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AND AM STILL TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK"

"Well, I'd ordered from these people a number of times without too much trouble, except for one product that had a foul taste on the outside of the capsules which they replaced without argument. However, on my last order, they had a promotion of ~10% off which they conveniently forgot to include when they charged my CC. The cute part about it was that the order acknowledgement showed the proper amount, but the charge was for $28 more than the amount shown on the acknowledgment. The online order form showed the correct amount, and in fact stated that your card will be charged for $X, while they turned around and charged for $X+28. I find it VERY hard to believe that this is "an accident". Computer programs, for all their faults, don't just make things up. They do what they're told.
Now I should add that they gave me no problem in crediting back the amount in error, but the fact remains that this is an error that simply should not happen. It makes one wonder how many other people have been ripped off because they didn't compare the actual charge with the amount they expected to pay.
I think the next time I'm going with Vitacost. Never had a problem of any kind with them."
"My first experience with Puritan Pride was not a good one. I paid for 2nd day air shipping. Also noticed they claimed on the top of their page that the ship orders within 24hrs. So I needed these before a vacation. Gave myself one cushion day just to make sure. Well they shipped the item almost 48 hrs after I place the order, it was a weds at 9am I placed the order. Was provided with no tracking number, a common thing given out in e-commerce these days, had to email customer service for a tracking number only to find out my order will arrive on the following monday. So I paid extra for shipping for no reason and they didnt ship within the website advertise claims. I order the same day from a competitor for something Puritan didnt carry. I received an order email from them, tracking number and on time delivery. Priceless. "
"I placed an order online for supplements, but realized literally 10 minutes later I should have ordered a far higher strength item. So I called CS to cancel my first order with the understanding I simply wanted to change the first order to a higher strength product. Nothing could have been more difficult! My order from now 15 minutes earlier could NOT be cancelled! After thinking about how many of these original strength tabs I'd have to take in a day (6 compared with 2), I decided to place a second order for the higher strength item as offered by the dispassionate CS rep. But a couple of hours later I didn't see any e-mail confirmation, as I had received on my first order!? Also no sign of my second order on the PP web site!? So I called CS again and was curtly informed there will be NO order confirmation of ANY kind when you place a phone order! Brilliant! And now as the days have rolled past, I see there is also NO e-mail notice of product shipment with phone orders (which I DID receive on my web order, although the web info states a ship date 2 days different from the e-mail info!?). There were other problems with my order too - related to poor phone rep attention to LARGE details that I won't go into. But what a train wreck of a way to do business!!! And unfortunately for P-Pride, there are many other providers of value-priced vitamins and supplements online (whom I ordered from later that same night - and for much lower prices and with far friendlier and more efficient service!)
Come on PP, get your act together and provide some decent customer service and efficiency for your client's hard earned payments!
I can't imagine ever ordering from PP again - there are just too many better options. But if I do, I'll make SURE to order through their website ONLY, so I don't get lost in their amazingly complex "system" of phones and computers and numbers - it's all so terribly complicated and confusing!!! (for PP!)
Now let's see if, how, and when my orders ever arrive! Fingers crossed... "
"Been using Puritan's Pride for approx. 18 months to 2 years, very cheap, free postage and packing, items always arrive within 10 days approx. But this last order I was charged delivery, and after about 10 days whilst still waiting for my parcel I recieved a letter from Customs Clearance Ltd, (which incidentally arrived with no stamp on so the postman made me go to my local office to pay £1.36 to open the letter as he wouldn't deliver it!)wanting import charges which I have never paid before or they threatened to destroy my package. I paid this and a few days later I am still waiting for my order to be delivered. Weighing up the extra costs and hassles I feel it won't be worth my while using Puritan's Pride anymore. Better going to local Holland and Barrett!"
"I placed an order for 4 items. I got only 2, I was charged for 3 and I still paid full shipping price. I was not told during check-out that the items were not available, I was not told about it when they shipped the package. The problem is: I needed them for another country, in the result I understood that I do not have what I need at the very last moment. Customer Service finally agreed (!) to refund me for the missing item, but they still charged me full shipping price. And they did not sound sorry or anything like that. One more note. I just checked: they still advertize back-ordered items as available!"
"Was hesitant to order to Canada from New york,My order arrived in about 9 days,So much cheaper than I found here in Canada.Prices are fantastic and they have been around a while. The $78 including shipping would have cost me about $160 here..very pleased with this company to date."
"People give this place such lousy review that I decided I would try them. I place a order from them and amazon the same day. I needed two of the item and wanted to see if this place was any good. My order from puritan pride was slightly cheaper and arrived two days before my amazon order. I didn't have any problems with them at all. I think there are a lot of unreasonable people who write review and wouldn't be happy no matter what company they ordered from. As long as they continue to offer free shipping I will continue to do business with them."
"Ordered for the first time and found some of the items were low quality like- pistachios, goji berries. So sent them back via usps . Its been 2 weeks and i still have not rec'd my refund. Spoke to a rep last week and was assusred it will be done but nothing till now. Called again today and same answer - it will be refunded within 3-5 business days. WILL NOT BUY FROM THEM AGAIN. "
