"ProtectCell is such a scam.After filing a second request within 3-4 weeks, they denied my claims and also cancelled my plan. I was told that it did not make sense for them to lose such "a high-end smartphone" (iPhone 5) twice within 3 weeks.I paid $200 up front in the last 2 months for the insurance and now I'm phoneless."
"Not much of an insurance program when they charge you a $150.00 "administration fee" to replace your lost phone. This "fee" WAS NOT MENTIONED UP FRONT when I purchased the coverage. I paid $199.00 for the plan and a $150.00 fee to replace an iPhone 4 that I could buy on craigslist for $120.00. What a ripoff!!!! They fooled me once and shame on me. You can bet I won't have anything further to do with them."

There should have been collateral in the store with the fees laid out for you along with a takeaway flyer they could have provided. We do our best to continually train our sales reps so that they are upfront and provide accurate information to each and every customer. "I had factory coverage for 1st year. my phone broke within that time frame and the factory coverage took care of it. I feel the coverage was a waste in the first year and should have extended for a longer period of time. It seems like the overlap was useless."

"I'm hiring a attorney and go after this company for so many things. I'v dug pretty deep into their complaint list. There are a lot of issues with how they do business. Class Action Lawsuit is on its way. And this could have all been fixed by one simple little thing. Best of luck to you, I would highly recommend going with an alternative Insurance company. Their are many reputable ones out there. These guys are just a complete scam.Update after their reply:Good luck to you. I'm sorry but there is nothing a Reputation Manager that sits on the computer all day can do for me. You guys have much larger issues. I myself run a very successful company and if one of my "team" members talked to you the way they talked to me. They would be terminated on the spot. In addition to that, the numerous lies we were told... Can't believe it, Save the $200 you have to pay upfront because a brand new phone can be found for less than that. And you don't have to be without a phone. "Mail yours in, once we recive is, your will be mailed out". FYI; it too this company 3 weeks to figure out how to get us a new phone! THREE WEEKS, Phone-less What a joke. "

"I received my replacement phone promptly, but I did not realize when I purchased the plan that my replacement phone would be a "refurbished" one, and NOT a new one. I had problems with the first replacement and had to return it for another one. I'm still not sure the plan is worth the money, so I was hesitant to renew it."
