"WARNING! This is a terrible company. They advertise merchandise at low prices, and then use bait and switch tactics to pressure you to buy the more expensive items that are allegedly in stock. In my case, I attempted to purchase a Nikon D90 SLR - camera body, and after placing the internet order, I received an e-mail to 'confirm the order'. When I called, the company rep indicated that the item that I ordered only included a cheap battery and no accessories, but they would add those items to my order (at ridiculously expensive prices!). I declined the 'upgrades' and he eventually said the camera would ship. However, when I called a week later, another rep indicated that the camera wasn't in stock (even though their website indicated it was in stock) and no telling when it would arrive from Nikon. Based on this incorrect info on the website and their hard sell upgraded tactics, I just cancelled the order and advised my credit card company to not accept any charges from this retailer."
"Pro Photo Nation is the abslute worst online retailer I have ever had experience with. My history with online shopping is quite extensive, stretchng more than a decade, and I can say without hesitation my experience with Pro Photo Nation was terrible. Their bate and switch techniques and false advertise either are or border on criminal. "
"These guys are 2-bit hustlers. They sell you shell, and then coax you into calling them. When you call, they try to talk you in to all sorts of extras, and use all sorts of jargony language to make you feel stupid. If you don't buy the extras, they announce that your camera is on back-order.
"WARNING - If you order from this company be prepared to go down a scary path. I ordered a Nikon D90 package for the low price of $1039.00. I received an email from the company stating they could not continue processing my order until having a conversation with me. I called and was told this package came without a battery, I HAD to purchase theirs for $160 because no other battery would fit. I would also need THEIR cards to the tune of $129.00. This low price of $1039 quickly rose to $1450.00. When I called to cancel, they said it had already been shipped out - though I have yet to receive a tracking number. After conversations and emails back and forth I am highly suspicious that these people are really doing business from a cell phone on a street corner in some large city. I have canceled my order, I have contacted my credit card company, they have flagged Pro Photo Nation and I will purchase a camera else where. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE."
"Ordered canon eos 50d. Received call regarding order and when I said I did not need a battery or memory card, was told the camera was on backorder and would be 8 to 10 weeks. I then asked if they had any of the other packages that were listed on the internet site and was told that they had none of them in stock. "

"Buyer Beware!!! These guys use the typical camera scam.. Quoted me a Nikon D700 for $1489.99 on their site, only no charger, no battery, no warranty, etc.. the bottom line is if you want the "Retail Package" Its $2256.00, this is after I already quoted my customer a price and now I have to take a loss on this order!! "
"This is the second online reseller that I tried to order a Nikon D300. After I placed the ordered they called, said it was in stock, and charged me an extra $40 to ship in 3 days. After waiting over a week and multiple calls that were never answered including multiple emails to both the sales dept. and customer service, I gave up sent and email and left a message to cancel the order. They never responded, so contacted credit card company to monitor and deny a charge."
"Definately the lowest price. After calling & verifying the camera was a U.S. model with U.S. warranty I initiated the purchase on Feb 5, 09. I received a purchase order number but after several days I never received an order notification which was supposed to occur within 24-48 hours. I tried calling apprx. 4 times. I left msg. and also emailed on Feb 9. Never received a response. I finally got in touch with someone on Feb 10 I believe. I was informed that my order was on 4-6 week back order. I cancelled my order at that time. Never received cancellation confirmation via email. Contacted my card company and am monitoring for any unapproved charges. "

"Thanks for the warnings. Thus I asked American Express to stop payment on my order to ProPhotoNation but I was told the payment cannot be stopped nor the case can be pursued for refund unless the charge shows on my statement. With prevention versus cure in mind, I forwarded the link to all your comments to ProPhotoNation on my email reply. My order was changed to "Backorder" the following day. That saved me from the further aggravation of having even to talk to any of ProPhotoNation Sales Rep. I hope this helps other victims of this scam."
