"Ordered on Sunday, confirmed all info on Monday
Took 5 days to ship and another 5 days to receive.
Their site shows 2 days to ship!
They also did deferred shipping which I understand that when it gets to the terminal in your location they can do whatever it takes to get it to you as cheep as they can, If this means more time, so be it.
It will take fedex 3 days to pick it up at the terminal and 3 days to go 2 hours away.
When I tried to call pricemad to fix this, they were closed April 2 to April 5 (this is in a work week, not weekend)
Unacceptable shipping methods at pricemad."

"I first ordered from this company on Sat. November 19th, 2005. I placed an order for two Panasonic plasma flat screen TV’s (one for home and one for office) and two wall mounts.

I got a call the next day (Sunday morning at 9:30AM!) at my home while I was still in bed with my wife. It was some salesman trying to up sell me other items and telling me that there were no video cards in the monitors and they wouldn’t work as a television. I recently read on this site that other consumers were experiencing the same thing with Pricemad concerning these cards – Pricemad is pulling them from the factory set and then attempting to sell them as an option.

After a heated exchange with this salesperson, I cancelled the order. Then I got a call back from another salesman. I told them if they continued to call back harassing me I would contact the NYS Attorney General’s office and file a complaint. I got a third call back from an alleged manager, who offered to upgrade my order at no charge. I was so *#@& angry that I declined the upgrades and held onto my cancellation and no-callback request.

Well, nine months later, I am either a believer in second chances or a glutton for punishment. I am again in the position of needing three plasmas for various retail/businesses I operate. I placed an order today for one 42” just to see if I would get yoked around again.

Yup.

Same process... Email confirmation telling you to call back for fraud protection. Salesman tries to up sell shipping, accessories, etc. TV is suddenly on back order. I cancelled on the spot. Got the expected call-back… “I found one in stock and we CAN ship to you.” I said “Okay, send it.”

I selected 10-14 freight, which is essentially free ($.01) and really ticks off the salesman. I will report back if the set ever arrives or if they end up just wasting my time (which we all have so much of). Worse yet, I’ll report back if they ship some damaged set, as I have tried once before with them under disastrous outcome... and this review, combined with my November order is a recipe for retaliation – I really think they aren’t above that, but I’ll let you know.

-----7/27/06------
Well I'll eat all my words. The TV arrived by Penn Delivery truck to my store on Tuesday - exactly seven (7) days after placing the order. I was perturbed that during that week there was nothing on my account at Pricemad.com to indicate whether the unit had shipped, and that I grew a beard while waiting on hold for customer service to see if it had shipped. But presto, there it was. I am pleasantly shocked. I will consider future orders through them and continue to post my experiences here."

"If you’re considering buying something from PriceMad consider this, I ignored all the bad reviews about them and paid for my stupidity.

On May 6 2008 I bought a new Samsung HDTV for $1618 from PriceMad. What they shipped was not new, and it had been re-packed so poorly, using hand-chopped-up pieces of Styrofoam as packing material, that the TV frame was scratched from rocking around in the box. The HDTV was dead on arrival.

I was outraged. I took pictures, sent them to PriceMad in an email, and called them. The shipping manager, who I was referred to with my complaint, tried to tell me that it was probably FEDEX that re-packed the HDTV after it left PriceMad’s store. This sounds to me like management is complicit in bait and switch scamming. If our shipping manager switched and packed a product like that in my former company, and used FEDEX as an excuse, he would have been fired on the spot.

I was asked by PriceMad to call in a Samsung service person to repair the HDTV. After considering my options I did have the HDTV repaired. The technician looked at the TV and asked me if I thought this was a used TV. I did, and he must have also. I filed a dispute with my credit card company to try to recover the difference in price between a new and a used TV. Sending them this one back and waiting an undetermined amount of time for a replacement did not seem to be an option given their deceitful practices to date – they had my money and I wouldn’t have anything if I sent the TV back.

From my research on Ebay and Craig’s List I found a used HDTV exactly like the one I bought for $750 less than what I paid. I settled for $350 refund from PriceMad. What a screw job.

"I wanted to order a Panasonic plasma television. They had the best price as listed on a popular search engine. I place my order on their website. That's when it all started.....

I got an email stating they wanted to "verify" my information". I knew this was trouble. When I called, I was told the television I ordered was inferior to their "professional" line ("Pro Kit" as they call it on their site).

Well the "pro kit" for the Pioneer PDP-505CMX, as stated on their website, supposedly has a 13bit processor and displays like 300 billion colors with a contrast ratio of 10,000:1.

For $1500 more than retail, I bought into this "pro kit". After calling Pioneer and a few "undercover" calls to pricemad.com, I learned this "pro kit" is just the plasma with the PDA-5004 card (Pioneer's standard card). It is a 10bit processor, and retails for ~$299. The contrast ratio for this monitor is about 1100:1.

So I paid $1500 for a $300 card. You can go now to their website and look at the posting for the Pioneer PDP-505CMX. They are committing fraud, pure and simple. I give them the lowest rating."

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE GUYS. Amazing. I ordered a Sony Bravia Plasma TV 7 weeks ago, I've called every week for the past five weeks to find out what is wrong. Every week they told me "shipping today". I called today, the product still had not shipped. I told them to cancel the order. My bet is they make money off the float on many orders... Save yourself some grief and do not order from this store. I don't understand their high rating- rude customer service, long wait times, no product, lies... what's up w/ that!"

"This is the worst possible online electronics merchant out there. Don't buy from JIMMY. After lying again and again about when my new LCD TV will be delivered, Jimmy clearly stated that "billions get their deliveries late... live with it" after promising a full refund if the TV is not here by October 31st. It is now October 30th and they have moved the shipping date to November 4th and guess what? "NO REFUND AS PROMISED" I spoke with the shipping company and they say that the product was consigned to them YESTERDAY (Oct 39th). Whatever happened to the 24 hr shipping policy???? Liars

This is the type of business that gives online shopping a bad name. These guys should be wiped out from the internet and their business license revoked.

Oh and by the way, they will never have the product you order but will give you a discount on a more expensive product. Nice trick!!!"

"I ordered a 50" panasonic plasma from PriceMad on 2/12/06 with some trepidation. Large orders online always make me nervous. I saw good and some bad reviews for PM at this site but what the heck, every merchant I looked at online had some mixed customer service feedback. I rec'd a call on 2/13 to confirm some information I provided, which was returned on 2/14. On 2/14 I was informed the plasma shipped on 2/13, before they "verified" my information which I thought was a little odd. My credit card was charged the day the plasma ostensibly had been shipped. On 2/20 I called re delivery and was informed that Mach1 Air was the shipper and that PriceMad would get in touch with them and PM call me right back. Did not call me back. On 2/21 I called again wanting to confirm delivery status. You can't track at their site, or at least I could not, based on providing correct info to do a search. Search comes back "order not found" every time. So I was told on 2/21 that I would get an email by night time about delivery status. Did not receive an email. Much friendlier when I was ordering versus post sale. Went to Mach1 site and can't track shipment from their site. If no delivery by Friday I intend to cancel the order. Will update this post as events unfold, positive or negative. "

"In spite of their website saying the HDTV I ordered was in stock and would ship in 24-48 hours they could not give me a shipping date. It turned out that they did not have the TV and were having it drop shipped from somewhere.
10 days after placing the order and still not having a shipping date other than "the next couple of weeks" I cancelled the order.
To their credit they had not charged my card and were gracious about the cancellation.
An hour later I ordered the same TV from another vendor. 24 hours later their freight company called to arrange delivery. That is the way it should be done! "

"I only WISH I had read the reviews HERE ( I read 3 on another website that MUST have been written by the store) I ordered a Plasma on 01-07-08..as of 01-18-08 I still have NOT got it !!. Not only has my credit card been charged already but I already got my statment !
Once you place your order "customer service" gives you the cell number of the poor guy delivering it and wash thier hands of the whole thing at that point. I called 5 days in row and was told EVERY DAY that the TV was on the truck and to call the driver (ME,call the driver-ME,the customer who laid out $2000.oo) and 5 days the driver tells me Price Mad didn't give him the order. I will NEVER order again from them and if anyone knows of a classaction suit against them PLEASE let me know. Save yourself much grief and DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM EVEN IF THEY ARE A LITTLE CHEAPER."
