"I placed my order for the purchase of a TV from Powersellernyc on 2/24/09. Everything that has happened since that time has been a nightmare.
Powersellernyc said I would receive the TV "in a few days", but it didn't arrive until March 12th. When it finally arrived, the carton had obviously been opened and resealed. There was no warranty, several pages had been cut out of the instruction manual, and the factory settings had been changed. I called up the seller and told them that I had obviously received a used TV, and in particular, I had no warranty. The person I spoke to hung up on me. I then emailed several times but no one answered. For several months I tried emailing and calling, all without resolution.
I finally called Chase, my credit card company, and requested a refund. They informed me that all I needed to do was call Powersellernyc and arrange for return of the TV. Which I did. But I was told by Justin that they would not take the TV back. I had actually tried to contact Justin on several occasions and each time I had been put on hold. I finally reached him by having my wife request to speak to him so that he wouldn't know who was calling.
I informed Chase of this and they sent me a copy of a Chase form which had been filled out by Jen of Powersellernyc. In a handwritten note she stated that all I needed to do was return the TV to them. A blatant lie.
Cutting a long and tedious story short I still have the used TV, but still have no warranty. I am hoping nothing will go wrong with it.
I wish I had read these reviews prior to buying the TV. I would have realized that any company with so many negative ratings was obviously one I wouldn't want to do business with.
Powersellernyc is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to buy an item from. I have never been treated so rudely, I have never been so blatantly ripped off and I have never been so astonished that they can get away with it. And I have made many purchases over the internet without problems.

Needless to say I will never buy anything from Powersellernyc again and will tell my friends and family to stay away.

Summary: This is worst rip off company I have ever heard of."

"Never order anything from these people. Waited a month to receive the wrong product. Ordered the Casio XJ-M240 but received the XJ-A240. When I received the product I looked on their website and noticed the cost difference. The XJ-M240 was $1079 and the xj-A240 was $1045. After asking for a refund for the cost difference they change the price on the website. changing the XJ-M240 to $1079 and the XJ-A240 to $1089.

product sent was also poorly boxed and shipped out. Everything was just stuffed with cutout cardboard pieces.

2/9/12 * update in response to powersellernyc response. If I only paid $969 why was I charged $1048.99??? Why don't I get a refund based on just that response alone? No matter what you say you guys still sent me the wrong product (that I did not want) and the cost difference you say is debatable cuz you keep changing it. How is the product you sent me better? They both have similar specs but the main difference is the one I wanted was 3D ready. The unit I got is not but is slimmer. The packaging was still poorly shipped too. I did not respond to your calls because there is nothing to say. Why should I say thanks for sending me the wrong product that I didn't want???? Shouldn't you be saying sorry?? great customer service!

*btw PowersellerNYC don't bother calling. You already screwed up. I don't trust or need anything from you guys. I'm not gonna wait another month for you to send me the right product and the cost difference is debatable since you keep changing the price or should I get a $79.99 ($1048.99-$969) refund since I was charged $1048.99 when you said I only paid $969??

Please share your response with the world to see"

"Do NOT buy anything from PowerSellers, they are thieves. They will use a bait and switch technique, up sell you, send you repacked merchandise. They will do anything to make a buck.

They claim to be observant Jews that follow the torahs teachings but in reality they lessen the world view of my religion.

PowerSelles is a shame. How can these men wake in the morning, do what they do and put their heads down at night."

“This customer is making false claims and VERY bold statements. He placed an order for a television and some accessories, and we shipped it. He then called and wanted to make changes to the order, which we agreed to. A few days later, without any notification whatsoever, he refused the entire order through the freight company. We have recevied no communication from him since, besides this rating. We cannot understand what we could have possibly done to this customer to illicit such slanderous statements. We did not attempt to steal anything from him, which is obvious. We did not bait and switch him on anything (I am not even sure he knows the definition of the word). We offered him some accessories, which he purchased, and if that constitues as an upsell to him then what can we do. You need certain things for the unit to function as it is intended, which we told him about. He did not even recieve anything from us, and did not even see any products to make the statement that we sent repacked merchandise. It should be quite obvious to any reader that this customer is just arranging the worst things he can think of, and posting them here.

The mere fact that he mentions religion in his rating is asinine, and tells you pretty much everything you would need to know about this customer. While the company may be owned by people of the Jewish faith, more than half of the company is of different faiths. We employ many different cultures, and they do not encompass our company structure. Any issues that arise or do not arise have no relation to any religion.

We try our best to satisfy each and every customer, but have no idea how to do so with this one. He disconnects each time we attempt to call him, and does not reply to emails. Please know that if you ever have any issues, we at PowersellerNYC will do our best to resolve them.”

"THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!!! Don't buy from them! We purchased a Sharp Aquos TV on 1/7/10. We registered the set with Sharp, thus creating a warranty with them through 4/7/11. Additionally, we purchased using our American Express, so that the warranty would be doubled, therefore, our warranty would be in effect until 4/7/12. On 2/21/11 the TV set broke. I called Sharp, to place a warranty claim and was told that the set I purchased from Powerseller was NOT a NEW TV, it was a refurbished set, therefore the warranty was null and void. I contacted Powerseller, and after several emails, and a report to the Better Business Bureau, replied, that they would do nothing at all. They are acting fraudulently, and selling refurbished sets as new. DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!! By the way, Powerseller's response was that I should have notified them earlier. I called them the day the tv set broke. I had no way of knowing earlier, other than calling Sharp with the serial number, which I didn't think to do, that the set was not new, but refurbished. Powerseller replied "what did I want them to do, the warranty was over anyway". That was not true, first the warranty with Sharp was good for 1year and 3 months based on a special, and secondly, the warranty was good for another year from that because American Express doubles the manufacturers warranty. This store is a bunch of CROOKS!!"

"Ordered a LG HD 50" TV on 8/27/10. Received an email 8/31/10 indicating I had to call in to confirm my order. Upon calling they tried to sell me HDMI cables and a wall mount. No thanks. Then I was told I'd have to pay insurance in the amount of $40.35 So much for the claim of no hidden charges. On 9/2/10 my credit card was charged.
UPDATE 1. Sometime during the second week of September I contacted PSNYC to ask if the unit had been shipped and was told the unit had been shipped the previous Friday. I asked for a tracking number and was told they don't provide tracking numbers.
UPDATE 2. Today is 9/20/10 and still no TV. I can understand a long hall truck taking 7 - 10 days to transport an item from the East Coast to the West Coast but I'm quickly coming up on a month since I placed my order and still no TV.
UPDATE 3. Today is 9/23/10. I've heard nothing from any company representative and still have not received the TV.
UPDATE 4. Called PowerSaverNYC on Sunday 9/26/10 and asked what the status of my order was? Representative gave me a tracking number and said the TV would be delivered on Tuesday 9/28/10.
UPDATE 5. Wednesday, 9/29/10 Customer service person called me and asked how I was enjoying my new TV. I replied that I had not received my new TV. I was told that another customer service person would find out what was going on and would call me back.
UPDATE 6. Thursday, 9/30/10 NO ONE CALLED. I'm done with this Company. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE
UPDATE 7. On Friday 10/1/10 I filled out a dispute form and mailed to VISA.
UPDATE 8. On Tuesday 10/5/10 a trucking company called to set up a delivery. I took the day off work on Wednesday. On Wednesday the trucking company arrived with a used repackaged TV. The box was falling apart and the TV was flopping around in the box. I refused to take delivery as I ordered a new in the box TV. I certainly can not recommend this company. "

"I placed an order for a TV on the 11th of march and it is now the end of march and I have heard absolutely nothing about my shipping. I have called them multiple times and they said that they have already handed the product to the shipping agency and that it is out of their hands. Well, the shipping agency they use has no tracking number and can not be contacted. They just want you to wait until the shipping company contacts you but it's been 2 and a half weeks now and I still have absolutely no clue where my tv is. They say shipping is 7-14 days. DO NOT BELIEVE IT. It's been 18+ days and I have no idea how many more days I have to wait.
Edit - I received my tv on 4/5. Order was placed on 3/11 and processed on the 3/15. They took exactly 15 business days to deliver the product to me which is 1 day over their promised shipping time. They had to switch to another shipping agency that had a tracking number and that shipping agency was very good. They made the switch on the 3/31 and that agency got to my doorsteps in 5 days. Sadly, they picked it up from new york which means for 2 and half weeks, the original shipping agency did not even begin to move the tv. The product i received is in great shape and there are no problems as of yet with the product. I greatly enjoy the tv that I bought. My only issue is that it took a full 25 days from placing the order to receiving the product. For patient people, I would recommend this site because the price is great and the product is great. Just don't expect it anytime soon. "

"The worst god damn online shopping experience I've ever had. I place an order for 3 projectors over a month ago. I received one and the other 2 never came in. They kept telling me that they have already been shipped and promised I would have them on time. That was 4 weeks ago! Then they told me the projectors were damaged and had been returned and reshipped. Now they give me the run around every time I call. They either hang up on me or leave me on hold forever. They won't even answer me on the live chat! I'm getting ready to send this company a law suit. Never do business with this company unless you like giving away money. "

“Valued Customers,

We fully understand why this customer is upset. He ordered two old models of projectors, and unfortunately 2 of them were damaged in transit to us. He received one unit in perfect working order, and was refunded for the 2 that arrived damaged. As in other cases, upgraded models were offered at considerable discounts (noone wants to downgrade). He did not want any other models, and for the inconvenience we sent him out a free warranty to cover the unit that he did get. He did not give any money 'away'. He was fully refunded, and after speaking with our management staff stated he wanted to remove this review from this website. He has not done so yet. We take issues like this very seriously, and try our best to do what we can to make up for it. Customer satisfaction is our top priority, we strive ro provide a higher level of customer service. ”

"Beware of this seller. They lie and tell you your item is in stock. When it is not. They didn't give me an order status after repeated calls. You are on hold as if it is a big corp. the sales person was downright rude. After waiting for several weeks, i somehow managed to cancel the order. They were not even helpful in cancelling the order.

Stay away from this shop even if it is 50% cheaper than the competition. Not worth it."

"I read, with interest, a review on another site dated 5/6/09 as well as the response by PowersellerNYC on 8/5/09.
My interest piqued when I read that Powerseller wrote "we do, however, take full responsibility for this issue as the customer ordered from us and not Infocus." We have had a very similar situation with five Panasonic projectors. They were represented to us as new, but were in fact previously sold units.
After several unsuccessful attempts to reach someone at Powerseller than can offer any help, we would WELCOME the opportunity to return the units for credit as they indicated they eventually did for this customer.
If customer service is extremely important to Powerseller, we certainly would have been contacted by now to initiate a resolution to our situation.

“This customer bought $135,000 worth of products in May of 2009. 3 months later they called and stated that they were having issues with the order. We offered to take the units back for exchange, but they were only requesting a refund. Unfortunately we are not able to have customers keep merchandise for 3 months, use it, and then return it. Customer service is extremely important to us, and we tried to satisfy this customers issue. There were unable to work within our boundaries. We worked our hardest. Trust that at PowersellerNYC that we strive for customer service, and do our best to work out issues like this. Unfortunately this customer had the units for 3 months before attempting a return, which we cannot accept for a refund. We were, however, willing to exchange the items. You can shop with confidence at PowersellerNYC. Just please be aware of our return policy guidelines. If you have doubts, or questions about the return policy, please contact us.”
