"Excellent first experience. Found them via Pricewatch looking for Hitachi 7200rpm notebook drive upgrade. Called them to make sure it was in stock. Found them very knowledgeable. Ordered drive on 7/23 and asked for 2nd day shipping. Was charged $13.42 but it arrive next day! "

"SUPERB customer service. We were let down a bit by Fedex but Portable One also dealt with them and sorted that out promptly.

All my answers to silly set-up questions for my new laptop answered promptly and accurately.

"After about a year of watching the laptop market and deciding what I wanted I decided to go with a Fujits N3510. But I had read on a number of forums that the reseller that you use is almost as important as the machine itself. I had heard tons of people mention how incredible the service from portableone is and after checking out their website, I gave them a call and got my computer configured. Tom McCollum helped me customize my machine without any pressure for unnecessary extra's as well as being insightful as far as what things to purchase first and later according to my budget. I was able to get a timeframe for shipping so that I knew the day 2 days after paying that I would and did have my new laptop in my hands. Even now that the transaction is complete I am still in ongoing dialogue with Tom about other stuff that I will be ordering from them. So here it is in a nutshell; you get a live person who actually knows the meaning of the word helpful and who really wants to provide excellent service and quality, I never waited on the phone when I had questions for Tom he was always free within a minute. I'm referring all my friends to portable one."

"I just got my tracking information. my new Fujitsu P7120D is already half-way around the world from Japan and should be here (Washington DC) in the next couple of days. I did a considerable amount of reasearch not only on the computer I wanted but also on the many "places" I could but it. Price was important and I got the best price out there with Portable One, but I also wanted to be sure that any potential problems would be handled urgently. I searched and read many message forum posts and blogs and saw nothing but A+ customer service and error resolution noted from recent Portable One customers and after the conversation I just had, I feel confident that any issues will only be temporary and will be solved to my satisfaction. Unless you see another post here from Shawnblog (dotcom), I'm still very happy with Portable One."

"The absolute BEST company (and not just in the PC industry) I have ever dealt with. Portable One is the standard by which one should measure how a company should interact with its customer. Prefessional, courteous and rapid communication before, during and after the sale. My interaction with them was through several emails and each one was responded to within an hour by a REAL person, not an automated response. It is my understanding that phone calls are handled the same way. Patrick and Ivan (yes, I know thier names - that's the kind of impression they left on me) were knowledgable, thorough and quick to respond - even after hours (Ivan responded to one of my emails from home - how many companies inspire that level of dedication from their employees?). I ordered an ASUS A8JS (Portable One MX) laptop from them. I placed the order online on Saturday night and on Sunday (yes, SUNDAY) I received a telephone call to confirm my order - from a live person. The following day, I was informed that my order would be delayed because my screen did not pass their testing procedures (stuck pixels) so it was replaced. Incredibly, they actually take the time to unbox your unit and subject it to a battery of tests to make sure you receive your unit in perfect working order. They also added a few things to improve its cooling efficiency like a high efficiency copper heatsink and Silver 5 thermal compound for the CPU. Nice touch. A few days after I placed my order, I decided I wanted to upgrade the hard drive on the laptop. You would think that would be a problem 5 days after you place your order - not with P1. They simply added it to my order and perfomed the upgrade for me - no problem. The following Monday, my laptop arrived and, of course, was perfect. P1 should be your FIRST CHOICE when considering a laptop or laptop accessory online. We've grown accustomed to low expectations when dealing with companies these days, but P1 is a shining example of what an organization that puts the customer first can do to obliterate that perception. As for me, they have a customer for life. I would encourage you to do the same - you will NOT be disappointed."

"I recently purchased a Sony Vaio from this company and was impressed with the responsiveness of the sales support staff. My only complaint is that I didn't receive and email with order number, tracking info, etc., but I emailed them and within an hour had an email with my order status and tracking number and an apology for not sending it sooner. I even contacted them after the order had shipped to change my method of payment ( i used the wrong card) and they cooperated, sending me a Google checkout payment request and issuing a refund of the original payment as soon as the new payment method was verified.

I've bought my last 3 or 4 laptops from Dell, and after some frustration with their support and a desire to try something new, I decided on the Sony Vaio. Portable One had the lowest price i found and i'm glad i bought from them."
