"I placed an order for a bathtub faucet online (5/17/2013). Plumbtile (Manuela)contacted me the next day to inform me the item was on backorder. I informed them I would continue to look for the item elsewhere but to leave my order in place for the time being and not to charge my credit card unless the item became available. Two days later I did find the item I wanted and contacted Plumbtile to cancel the order. This is when I was told about the cancelation fee (12% of the original price)for an item. I informed them that thier sales representative told me I would not be charged for the item until it actually became available. After checking my credit card statement I relized the Plumbtile rep (Manuela) had charged my card after our conversation. I have had multiple conversations with Plumbtile since canceling the order and have been told my card would be refunded and no fees for cancelation would be applied. The last person (Manuela) I spoke with was the one who had originally contacted me about the backorder. She told me I would see my refund in hours on my credit statement that was 3 days ago and still no refund. I will never do buisness with this company again and would encourage all others to steer clear of this company. I do alot of shopping online and I have never had such a negative experience as with Plumbtile. I have resorted to disputing the charge with my credit card company since it is clear Plumbtile has no plans on crediting my card as they assured me would happen."

"Very poor! I feel as though I was baited in then at the last moment switched! I found the perfect tiles at a fair prices, $20 handling fee but they pay shipping. I order the tiles I need and then to my surprise and called and informed it will be over 8 times the of the tiles for shipping!!! Thats right my tiles were 30.00 and shipping was 240.00 PLUS 20.00 handling. Web site very clearly states no shipping charges. No credibility here "

“It sounds like we let you down and for that we do need to apologize! Please note that it is clearly stated on our web site that over weight or oversized items can not be shipped free of charge. I wish it could be different but the tile you cancelled weighed close to 100 lbs and could not be shipped via UPS. We are required to cover the excessive shipping costs to maintain our lowest pricing guaranteed policy.

"I could not disagree more with everybody's customer service remarks. The customer service my wife Jodine and I received when shopping with Plumbtile is second to none. Not only were we blown away by the prompt service, but they also helped us design the rest of our now magnificent bathroom. I will not only come back to Plumbtile.com in the future, but I will recommend them to everybody I know.

Ask for Tina, she's a lifesaver!!"

"I ordered a Duravit brand item on 2/01/2012 but never received the order. After leaving several messages and an e-mail, I was finally told that Duravit products were only available in quantities of 6 or more and therefore my order was cancelled. I have been attempting to contact PlumbTile ever sincve as to a refund of the purchase price. After numerous phone messages and e-mails I have not received a reply. Very, very poor customer service. I ordered the Duravit item from e-Faucet and I will never do business with PlumbTile again."

"i ordered the wrong item and have been trying for good week to get a return # to send it back each time i call i am told a different story, i have to agree very bad customer service, if you leave a message they wont call back.I have emailed faxed done every thing they ask for and still can't return the item"

"I am very disappointed with the service. I was told I would receive a call back about shipping date and never heard back. My invoice stated items were in stock and would ship in 10-12 days. It is now 2 weeks later and I am told it is out of stock and will take another month to receive. Now if I cancel the order because I need to buy it sooner, I will be charged 12% fee! Horrible customer service."

"I had a great shopping experience with Plumbtile. They provided wonderful design assistance and steered me towards products which matched perfectly with my taste. I especially love my new hansgrohe rain shower head! Their staff is very attentive and worked hard to meet my needs. "

"At the recommendation of a friend I went onto. Plumbtile's web-sight and could not believe the incredible selection available. Not being a regular Internet shopper I decided to call plumb tile to get some information on an Alno faucet. Manuela was patient and walked me through the Alno page ensuring I Got the right faucet and matching accessories. I loved the product once received and appreciated the efficient service! Thank you"

"Beware!! Plumbtile has a minimum 35% restocking fee, which is buried in a separate "policies" area on their site. Nowhere in the purchase process is this fee mentioned. We have dealt with numerous online companies and never have had a restocking fee. We ordered soap dishes in two finishes, figuring that we'd send back the ones we didn't want. When we contacted Plumbtile, we were shocked to find out about the fee (which we find to be exhorbitant). Nevertheless, we sent back the products, which were delivered on March 30. By July, we hadn't had a refund on our credit card, so we contacted Plumbtile. It took 3 calls (only one person handles the returns and she was gone.....another person tried to help me and I could hear him shuffling papers--no computer files, I guess--and he said he couldn't find anything about our order.) The next day "Mary" left a message on our phone that the order had been received but the paperwork had "been misplaced for awhile" and that she had just sent a check for the refund. Sure enough, when it arrived, it was 35% less than what we paid for the product...and we had to pay shipping to return it to them! Don't buy from Plumbtile unless you are sure you want the product!****Note: Our order was originally placed through iBathTile.com, fulfilled by Plumbtile."

I wish we didn't have to charge you a restocking fee.......In order to maintain the most competitive pricing in the industry we are forced to charge all vendor stocking fees that we receive back to our customers. This policy is clearly stated under our return and exchange policy on our site, I'm sorry it didn't seem clear to you at the time of placing your order. I will personally look into the delays you encountered in getting your credit issued to ensure this process is streamlined and efficient. Please give us another shot, Im happy to send you a 5% off coupon for your next visit and I know you will be happy! thank for your feedback”

"Whatever you do, do NOT purchase anything from Plumbtile.com! We purchased a shower fixture from them and they included a non-standard lavatory in-wall valve with it. This valve would not function in a standard depth wall, and there was no description of this valve or disclaimer at their website indicating it needed special installation.

After almost two months we have had to threaten their customer service representative with harassment, the manufacturer had to request that Plumbtile.com take the valve back with no restocking fee, and we still have not received the credit for this valve. We will probably have to dispute the charge with our credit card company. To top it off, after we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of San Diego, their customer service representative canceled the rest of our order.

Their customer service makes airline customer service look like the Ritz Carlton staff. So, I repeat, whatever you do, do NOT purchase any products from Plumbtile.com! "
