“I know how aggravating it can be to make a purchase and then be disappointed. Unfortunately this fellow happened to be in a group of customers who experienced that with us. The product that he had hoped to purchase proved to be a very rapid seller. So rapid in fact that communications broke down between our company and Amazon. On line inventory numbers were at zero but we did not receive any orders from Amazon so we kept resetting our inventory to the number we had available. It wasn't until hours later that orders began to show up and we realized that the inventory count had been correct and we were now severely over sold. I realize this doesn't make it right for him but I wanted to let him know we experienced a one-time problem and this isn't our normal way of doing business. This one item, this single day has been the only customer service glitch our company has experienced and unfortunately he was one of the customers to bear the brunt of our error.
I can't deny that Amazon accepted his order and we were not able to fill it. However it was a unique instance and not how we normally conduct business. I'm sorry this fellow is disappointed that he didn't get his product but we notified him through Amazon as soon as we got the information from them.
