The best thing I can say about them, is that on the rare occasion I did have an issue, their customer service is always excellent. No hassles. I would recommend them to anyone. "

"I ordered a Christmas gift on December 18th and told about a week later that the item was on backorder. Having been in the retail business in my younger days, I completely understood. Today is July 4th and I still don't have my merchandise. I've been trying for 6 months to contact these people who have basically stolen my money. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! "Horrible customer service. I ordered on 5/11/09 and on 5/20/09 I got an e-mail telling me my order would ship in 2-3 days. On 6/1/09 I tried calling and sent an e-mail. After trying to reach them for 2 days I found a number on this site and called. When they answered the phone I was told that they have 2 warehouses that are merging and they are waiting for a tracking number. After reading the reviews on here I know it was a bunch of hog wash. I told them to cancel my order. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!"
"I ordered products from a place called housewaresworld.com. Turns out it is the same company as plantappliance.com and others. Here's my story. Note that this company has a new owner named Gregg who seems to be somehow possibly connect to the Cusinart company. I am going to file a complaint with them also. Gregg's new business name is Kuma Consumer Goods and a phone number that he has actually been answering but probably not for long is 631-991-3303 and his fax is 631-991-3304.I ordered 3 products from company on March 21, 2009 and received order confirmation. The products were supposed to ship in 2-3 days and I would receive a tracking number by email. I emailed them on March 24, 2009 and asked why it had not shipped yet. On March 30, I received an email from PayPal asking again for payment information. I was confused but since my account had not yet been charged, I provided the info as required. I also sent an email to housewaresworld.com telling them I had provded the info to PayPal and asked if and when I would receive the tracking numbers. I received an email back simply stating yes I should get tracking numbers. My bank account was debited on March 30, 2008 by PayPal for East Coast Stores, which is another name for this company. I then received one of the items on March 31, 2009.I waited a couple of weeks giving a resonable amount of time for shipment. When I still hadn't received the product, I called them and started research on the company and owner. I discovered that this company housewaresworld.com is only one of many names used by the owner Henry J Galasso of 5 Quail Ct in Plainview NY. He is also known as Pepe Galasso and Pepe Galas. The names he had operated under are many. All of the active websites display your logo. The other names I have found are Planetappliance.com, East Coast Stores, Celebrityappliance.com, gadgetappliance.com, ipriceshop.com. Most of all the other companies have complaints listed on the Internet. Unfortunately, for me housewaresworld.com does not yet have a complaint although it will now. I have now spoken by phone to a Gregg of Kuma Consumer Goods who claims to be the new owner. While I was on the phone with him, he was speaking to Pape in the background. They claimed they have no record of my payment but would ship the products and promised to provide a tracking number by today, May 28, 2009. I called PayPal and they found the payment on East Coast Stores account with them. However,since I did not go through Ebay to make this purchase, they did not want to assist me any further. I finally got them to open a temporary claim whatever that means. I called Gregg back and told him when PayPal told me and he finally admitted that he did find the payment. I told him I needed to have a tracking number by today or I would have to pursue other avenues. Today, I received an email from Gregg's email address signed by Pepe. They tell me they cannot access the PayPal account because the business has changed and I would have to pursue this through my bank which I am doing."
"I ordered a Cuisinart 14 cup food processor on Dec 27, 2008 and by March 28, 2009 still adn't recieved it!! C'mon months? They kept changing my status to "will ship in 24 hours" and then the next day it would say "will ship in 7-10 days" this happened throughout. I tried for a month and a half to get in contact and left messages. Finally, fed up and feeling very ripped off i contacted Visa..they opened an investigation and told me it would be approx 6-8 weeks to see if i could get my money back. They said they would call Planet Appliance. 3 weeks later my credit card was refunded the charges. Thanks Visa...i hope you go to jail Planet Appliance...don't mess with a Canadian!"
"The service at Planet Appliance is not acceptable. I ordered a crock-pot in November. They debited my credit card the day I ordered it. On December 28th I called to cancel the order. They said it just shipped that day and I was unable to cancel the order. I did receive the crock-pot about a week later - but I emailed for instructions on how to return and have not heard. I am afraid to send it back because I am absolutely sure I would lose both my money and my crock-pot.Be careful when you order from this company. Their main motto "100% satisfaction guaranteed" is not true."
"I ordered a cuisinart wafflemaker in November and received a tracking number and confirmation order from this company in December. I have yet to receive the mdse despite numerous emails and phone calls. They also refuse to cancel the order and refund the money because "it's on its way". Chalk this one up to experience - I've never had problems ordering online but I will always check the sellers reputation on sites such as this. I have also emailed complaints to the FTC and New York Better Business Bureau regarding this company. If you have been cheated by this company I suggest you do the same. "
"Like many other people mentioned, I too ordered an atomic clock. They sent me the wrong model number. After countless e-mails and phone calls I finally got a response that said if I mailed it back they would refund me + shipping costs. It's been over a week and I have not seen a single cent (sent numerous e-mails). I even called and left an angry message and someone came on while I was leaving the message and disconnected me. I called 10 seconds later to see the phone was off the hook. These people are crooks and will not send you the right thing. I plan to file complaints with the BBB and district attorney of Boston. Do not buy from this store"
"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!!!!I purchased an atomic clock as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend from this store. They actually shipped it as promised within 3 business days. When I got it, it was the WRONG item. At first, I thought it was just an accidental mistake, but I found out that many other people have had wrong items shipped to them. I called them, and they told me that my item has been discontinued. Instead of letting me know, they felt it was okay to just substitute another item!!! On their website it still shows that the item I ordered is "In Stock". I was so angry because now I didn't have a gift in time for Christmas. He asked me to ship it back to his vendor at my expense and then he will refund me the cost of the item and the shipping charges if I let him know how much I paid for shipping. I shipped it back on 12/19, gave the guy the tracking number, and he said he would refund as soon as he sees the item has been delivered. Today is 1/8 and I have been emailing, trying to ask about the status of my refund. No answer. They are terrible with customer service. I finally called them today and they said they will process it right away. They did, but I only got back the value of my merchandise. So not only did I not have a Christmas gift for my boyfriend, when he got me 3 gifts!!! but I wasted all that time and gas going to the UPS center to ship it back to them at MY EXPENSE. Since I'm ready to be done with this situation, I won't be contacting them again in pursuit of my shipping fees, but BEWARE to all other buyers!"
"Planet Appliance d/b/a/ gadgetappliance.com & anygiftbasket.com is a deceptive and devious internet merchant that will sell you a product, take your money, assure you of timely shipment and then fail to deliver after the sale is made. My experience is similar to the many who have written a review of this company in the recent past. They advertise, accept your money, fail to ship and then refuse to answer e-mails or their customer service telephone. It is extremely frustrating. My only saving grace is that I paid by credit card via Paypal and now how two avenues to pursue this matter. I am also going to contact the Better Business Bureau and the New York State Attorney General's Office of Consumer Affairs. One way or the other I shall get satisfaction. No one should be allowed to conduct their business in such a fashion. I'm not asking for special favors, just what I paid for and rightfully deserve."
"RIP OFF ARTISTS!!! Placed order on Dec 5th called,now 18 days later I have called (had to leave VM cause they never answer the phone!)and emailed numerous times with no reply ever - they just kept changing the status between will ship in 24 hours to will ship in 3-4 days. Per their website they stated in their shipping information that at the most it would have taken 5 days to recieve, This place made it so my mother had no present to open while my dad was in the hospital. Their customer service is not present in the least and you are running a crap shoot if you order form them!! I am going to do my best to get my money back, but I am sure they will ignore those calls and emails as well. "
"BEWARE! Do not buy from this company! Worst cust service of anyone!If interested read on:Ordered 11/3, cr card billed, item was listed as in stock and would ship in 1-2 days. After not receiving tracking # by 11/10, inquired via email. Got reply on 11/11, it would ship in 2-3 days. 11/18, no track'g #. Called cust "no"service, after 3 attempts to get passed auto attendant, was told item is backordered in N.J. but would ship from CA same day. Was promised track'g # by end of day. 11/20, 2 attempts to call, was told in stock, may have shipped, again was promised track'g # by day's end. 11/21, 4 unsuccessful phone attempts, called cr card company to file claim, still no track'g #. So I emailed. 11/23, reply said backordered, and would normally ship in 4-7 days, but cr card will not be billed until it ships(untrue, billed on 11/3). 11/24, I viewed cr card statement online and noticed Planet Appl. credited back the charge. 11/28, Still no item, or tracking #. Cancelled order via email. Never received a response."
