"Is there a reason a company must know everything about you in order to get a sale? Ah yes, there is... PINZOO is a Marketing Re-Seller Company. They make no money selling these Pre-Paid cards, they break even at best. How do they make their money you ask??? Simple, they collect as much information about you as possible, then re-sell it to 3rd party marketers so you can basically be spammed to death, by email, telemarketers, and snail mail. They will pretend all this "authorization" is for your protection, but that is a lie. Does Wal-Greens ask you who you are when you purchase a pre-paid calling card? No, so why does PINZOO? One should not have to compromise their personal information just to do business with it. They should only ask one question, Card or Paypal, just like 99% of all internet companies do. If you want to register an account and give them your info (Only God would know why), then that should be your decision. This company stinks. And for those of you who think your getting a deal not paying sales tax, most likely your state has laws that require you to do so. So your openly violating your own state law, and providing all the criminal evidence they need to PINZOO, who gets paid to give it up!!"

"Mel was the "Live Chat" person with whom I spoke this afternoon. I had made an error in ordering, and Mel was perfect in helping fix it. Mel is an "eleven" out of "ten"! I couldn't have asked for better, more prompt, or more professional service. I highly recommend Pinzoo to everyone I meet. This service is GREAT!
Thanks again!

"Real people answer the phone quickly, walk you through the process, make sure it works, and that you are taken care of.
The rep was very patient, polite, and helpful.
If you are tired of the poor support and bad attitude from SimpleMobile, just re-up with pinzoo. Doesn't hurt to save a few pennies either. Such a relief to deal with these people instead of SimpleMobile.

This should be 10 stars...

"IMPORTANT UPDATE: I'm writing this update later the same day after I sent a copy of the review to Pinzoo. Rather than ignore me as so many companies do these days, I received a personal phone call from Sean at Pinzoo, who made me extremely happy by acknowledging my complaint and rectifying the situation, no questions asked. I'm changing my rating from 1 star to 4 stars because good customer service means a lot to me and they deserve it. The reason I don't make it a 5 is because the original problem shouldn't have happened and I still think it is deceptive not to warn customers before the purchase that a phone verification is necessary. However, the fact that they went out of their way to make it right just earned them a very happy return customer. Thanks Pinzoo!

-------------Original Review------------
This company's policies are absurd. First, they advertise instant email delivery of Page Plus PINS on eBay and their website, but nowhere on the site prior to completing the order do they tell you that the first time you have to go through a phone verification process before it is approved. Then once you get to that point it is too late because they offer no mechanism for immediately cancelling so you can buy your minutes elsewhere. Very inconvenient when you attempt this after their business hours.

To add insult to injury, they are apparently unaware that there are different time zones in this country, and their customer service rep called and woke me up at 6:00am on a Saturday morning to do this verification. Very annoying, but OK let's get this done and over with, right? Wrong. Next they tell you that your cell phone they are calling you on is not good enough and that you have to let them call you on a land line to complete the verification. If you don't want to give them your land line number, or don't have one, then they want to call your bank, take a DNA sample and indenture your first born son. Of course since it's Saturday they can't do that til Monday, leaving you hanging for two more days. Oh boy, I'm just dying to give my banking information to a company with misleading sales practices and zero integrity.

"No thanks, just cancel the order." Thankfully that was the only part of the process that was immediate and painless, so save yourself the headache and don't waste your time or money with Pinzoo in the first place."

"I'm sorry I ever dealt with this company. The little savings I got was offset by the inconvenience. I was not told up front that "if this was my first purchase, I would have to wait for a phone call verification". Instead, they wait until after you have given your credit card information to tell you about that and they offer no way to cancel your order. I ordered my air time at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. Their phone service verification doesn't open until 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time. That means I have to wait around for 3-1/2 hours at the very least to "get verified". I will NEVER use them again, even if I don't need to be "verified" the next time."

"Needed to get some minutes right away (tonight, after business closed) before travelling out of the country. I need the minutes to be there when i come back so I can order a cab, etc.

I fell for pinzoo "instant" minutes only to find out AFTER i was charged that they require a phone call tomorrow during business to "verify" some security thing. In my situation this is completely unacceptable as I'll be travelling and unavailable. I had to buy from callingmart and I'm not sure what will happen to my refill with pinzoo. I requested (over e-mail) that they cancel the order. This is 21st century (online century) I shouldn't be required to make phone calls to get basic stuff like refilling minutes on my phone. Very inconvenient.

They should have warned about this extra step that's above what other people have and not charge me before actually approving whatever it is they need for security.
Taking your money and not shipping "instant" product as promised is completely unacceptable."

"It is extremely unsafe to pass my phone number to pinzoo for recharging. After purchasing minutes from this site, my phone was bombarded by unsolicted and useless text messages which CHARGE to my account!!! Without paying attentions, all my money was stolen. NEVER NEVER let buyer charge for you.
A follow-up: Pinzoo contacted me within 24 hours and explained that they have no knowledge about the chargable text messages. I really appreciate their fast response. They are very serious and responsible and I will continute to refill my phone from pinzoo."
